Lying citizen
Zozo (ゾゾ, Zozo?) is a town in Final Fantasy VI. It is a den of thieves and criminals constantly caught in a downpour of rain. Zozo is one of the only actively-populated towns in any Final Fantasy game where the player can be attacked by randomly-encountered enemies; other such cities include Fynn in Final Fantasy II and Ur in Final Fantasy III. In the World of Ruin Zozo keeps the same random encounters as in the World of Balance, as opposed to the monsters of most other locations who become stronger. Zozo has signs that indicate it has shops but no shops the player can use are found here.
Story
Zozo was founded by the lower-class citizens of Jidoor to the south, and criminals in Zozo sometimes drift back to the city looking for work and targets to steal from. The party arrives at Zozo searching for Terra and find her atop of the tallest tower where she is being cared for by Ramuh who tells them the history of the relationship between espers and humans. Ramuh asks Locke to rescue Maduin and the other espers from the Magitek Research Facility to help Terra. Locke agrees to go, and takes Celes with him. He returns with the espers and after speaking with the spirit of Maduin, her father, Terra returns to normal.
In the World of Ruin the party follows a carrier pigeon to Zozo from a young woman named Lola in Maranda, as Cyan has been sending her letters pretending they are from her deceased boyfriend in Mobliz. The man wandering outside the "Inn" building will sell the party a Rust Rid for 1000 gil, allowing them to dissolve the rust on the door above the "Cafe" sign, opening the path to Mt. Zozo.
Quests and Guides
The Chainsaw Clock
The door marked with the "Inn" sign contains a stopped clock and the player is prompted to set the hands to the proper time. The player can discover the correct time by speaking to everyone in town; since everyone in Zozo lies except for the man just outside the Inn, they will all tell the player what time it is not, and by process of elimination the player can discover the correct time: 6:10:50. Setting the hands to the right time reveals a secret staircase atop which lies the Chainsaw, one of Edgar's strongest Tools.
There is a mistake in one of the clues: One townsperson claims the second hand of his watch points to four (20), while another says the seconds are divisible by 20 (20 or 40). This means that two people are dismissing 20, which is unnecessary, and means no one dismisses 10. The former townsperson should instead be saying that his watch's second hand points to two. However, there is a clock in the "Weapon Shop" which if "talked to" says that its hand is pointing to 2.

Etymology
Ouija demonic entity who has been documented since the early 1800s. This alleged demon is said to attach itself to certain unlucky individuals who venture into its domain. Some claim Zozo will go to any length to trick its naive callers.
Zozo is theTrivia
When the player must reach Zozo to find Terra, and sends a party of one to Zozo with only Gau, he will have his own scripted dialogue in the scene with Ramuh.
