The Zombie Dragon, also known as the D. Zombie, is an enemy from Final Fantasy III, fought in the Ancient Ruins on the final floor before getting the Invincible and potentially from the Sunken Cave from trap treasure chests.

Battle Edit

They can be dangerous, as they can inflict moderately high damage to party members.

Strategy Edit

Physical attacks, Fira, Holy and Cure spells work well against it, and the Raise spell and Phoenix Downs will kill it instantly. Using lifesteal against it will damage the player instead of healing them.

The Life/Arise spells or the Phoenix Down are prone to failure but it is unknown what triggers the backfiring. The Ancient Sword is also effective, as the Zombie Dragon is susceptible to Paralysis.

Etymology Edit

A zombie is an animated corpse resurrected by mystical means, such as witchcraft. Since the late 19th century, zombies have acquired popularity in North American and European folklore.

A dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, that features in the myths of many cultures.
