Zilant is a family of enemies in Final Fantasy XI. Zilant are a very rare type of dark-aligned dragon, none of which can be verified as an independent life form native to our dimension. Although not possessed of any body parts worth taking away, zilant will rarely bestow their killers with some powerful and sought after items, best known of which are the Zilant Ring and the rare body armor Fulad-zereh.

Notorious Monsters[]

  • Anguis
  • Lofty Zilant
  • Yilbegan

Besides their TP-based special moves, all zilants cast spells and have some form of aura-based attack--either gaining a Bio aura under certain conditions, summoning a Varanus, or both.

  • Chaos Blast: Deals Dark elemental damage and inflicts Max HP Down, Max MP Down, and Max TP Down in an area of effect. Only used if the player with the highest enmity is in front of the dragon.
