The Zeus Mace (メイス オブ ゼウス, Meisu obu Zeusu?), also known as the Mace of Zeus, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is most often used by mages and is one of the more powerful magical weapons.

In the Game Boy Advance remake, the Mace of Zeus is found in the Hall of Doubt area of the Ruined Shrine, and provides 78 Attack, 90 Accuracy, and +3 Magic. It is a staff, so it can be used by Freelancers, White Mages, Time Mages, Red Mages, Chemists, Mimes, and Oracles.

The Mace of Zeus is Vivi's ultimate weapon and the most powerful staff. It teaches the spell Doomsday, and provides 35 Attack and inflicts Mini with Add Status. Mace of Zeus can be found in Memoria, in the top-left corner of the Stairs room.
Final Fantasy XIIEdit
The Zeus Mace is the second-most powerful mace with an Attack power of 66. Equipping it boosts the power of Dark-elemental spells. Maces have 2.63s charge, and 1.2s action time, making them average at attack speed.
Zeus Mace is found in the Pharos at Ridorana, as a reward for defeating Diabolos, and rarely dropped from the Minibug. In order to equip the Zeus Mace, a character must unlock the Maces 4 License for 25 LP.
In the International Zodiac Job System, only the Red Mage may equip the Zeus Mace, by acquiring the Maces 4 License for 65 LP.

The Zeus Mace is one of the four of Kytes's most powerful weapons, and it is of the Thunder element. When he uses it, all of his attacks come out in three "prongs" extending from him. Its recipe is found in the Hammer of Lightning. It uses a generic rod sprite during battle.

The Zeus Mace is one of the most powerful staves in the game. In the War of the Lions remake it is a reward for defeating Bremondt Freitberg or by finding it under a trap in the thuird floor of the Midlight's Deep. It has an Attack Power of 6 + 2, a Weapon Defense of 15%, and gives a +1 to Magic Power.

The Zeus' Mace is an extremely rare item that can only be obtained through the "Plain - Plain - Mountain - Mountain" Treasure Hunt, or as a hidden stealable item from the enemy Alchemist in Mission #014: Golden Clock. It is equippable by Alchemists and Sages, and the Sage can learn the powerful spell Ultima Blow from this mace. It provides +15 Attack, +5 Magic, +5 Resistance, increases the power of Holy-elemental attacks, and is Holy-elemental itself.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the RiftEdit
The Zeus's Mace is the most powerful mace in the game, providing +50 Attack and +5 Magick and Resistance, and teaches the ability Ultima Blow to the Sage and the ability Transmute to the Alchemist. It can be bought for 10,500 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Lightwing Crystal, Godwood, and Hero Tonic. It is also Holy-elemental in nature.

The Mace of Zeus is the second strongest staff in the game. It is a level 92 weapon that adds 38 to base Bravery, 61 to Attack, and increases EX Mode duration by 40%. It can be traded for at the shop for 29,570 gil, the Staff of the Magi, five Revival Trees, and a Green Gem.
Dissidia 012 Final FantasyEdit
Zeus Mace returns as a level 90 Stave that provides +34 Bravery, +62 Attack, and +15% EX Mode Duration. It can be obtained by trading 155,700 gil, Staff of the Magi, Elder Log, and five Summoner's Hopes.

EtymologyEdit
In the ancient Greek religion, Zeus is the "Father of Gods and men" who ruled the Olympians of Mount Olympus as a father ruled the family. He is the god of sky and thunder in Greek mythology.
