The Yormungand, also known as the Jormungand, is an enemy from Final Fantasy III. It appears by itself around the northwest portal in the World of Darkness and is a marginally difficult enemy. It is weak to Confuse, which completely halts its attacks for a time, but even so, physical attacks are more than enough to defeat it.
