Yoko Shimomura

Yoko Shimomura (下村 陽子, Shimomura Yōko) is a Japanese video game music composer. Before making her debut as Final Fantasy series music composer, she is best known for her compositions for the Parasite Eve and Kingdom Hearts series.

She joined Square in 1993 as a composer after graduating from Osaka Music School after working for Capcom, and composed the score for Live a Live in 1994. She is also known for her score in Front Mission, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Parasite Eve, and Legend of Mana.
She makes her debut as a Final Fantasy series music composer with Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Her piece for this Final Fantasy title, "Somnus", was included in the Square Enix compilation album Drammatica.
