Yensa Scale is a piece of loot in Final Fantasy XII. When sold to vendors, the player earns money and the sold pieces count toward bazaar sets.

Yensa Scale is commonly obtained from Bull Yensa and Yensa as a drop, steal, and a poach. Yensa are aggressive fish that emerge from the sandsea in Ogir-Yensa and Nam-Yensa Sandseas, commonly when the player approaches their spawn points, such as wooden walkways. The Yensa in both sandsea areas have the same stats and item spoils: Yensa Scale is the common steal and poach item, and the rare drop, though drop rates are improved by chaining.
Yensa Scale is also commonly stolen from Slyt and Wyvern Lord.
Use[]
Yensa Scale are sold to vendors to earn gil (206 gil) and the sold quantities count toward creating the Rain of Tears bazaar set, which contains Vega and Aqua Shot. The player only ever needs to sell one Yensa Scale to unlock this set, and it is not used for any other set.
