Shift to an aggressive stance and performs combos with X/Triangle (and optionally with tilting the left analog stick upwards/to the left/to the right)
—Description, Final Fantasy Type-0.

Wildfire Stance (烈火の型, Rekka no Kata?, lit. Raging Fire Kata) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability used exclusively by Eight.

AppearancesEdit

Final Fantasy Type-0Edit

Wildfire Stance is a combat ability learned by Eight, and is available when the action ability Rising Upper is learned. It is an aggressive style of attacks centered on relentless offense and overwhelming the enemy. Though it is powerful and varied with a useful moveset, Wildfire Stance requires observation of the battlefield and timing, as its usefulness is limited by how each attack is best in a different situation. As with all Stance abilities, tilting the joystick in various directions allow for Eight to perform different attacks.

  • Default press: Throws out a slow moving and straight traveling ball of ki with an indefinite range.
  • Hold up: Leans forward and readies a blazing rushing tackle.
  • Hold right/left: Immediately handstands onto the ground and spin kicks with both legs split out.
  • Hold down: Leaps up and throws down a double hammer fist onto the ground, that unleashes a large pyre in front.
