[edit] Appearances
[edit] Final Fantasy V
White Wind is a Blue Magic spell which heals the entire party by an amount equal to the caster's current HP, making it a rather useful healing spell in some situations, but rather useless if your entire party, or just the caster is low on health. It also ignores Reflect and Undead status, so it is one of the few ways of healing a party member equipped with Reflect Ring or Bone Mail.
[edit] Final Fantasy VI
Learnable by Strago as a Lore. It was translated as Pearl Wind in the SNES version.
[edit] Final Fantasy VII
White Wind can be learned as an Enemy Skill from the enemies Zemzelett and Wind Wing. It heals all allies to an amount equal to the caster's current HP. Not only that, it also cures nearly every negative status effect. As a side effect, when used on an undead enemy, this skill will do the exact opposite while observing status effect immunities. White Wind costs 34 MP.
[edit] Final Fantasy VIII
Used by Quistis. Can be learned by the item Whisper which can be mugged from Adamantoise at Long Horn Island. It restores HP to the party equal to Quistis' Max HP minus her current HP and does not change depending on Crisis Level.
[edit] Final Fantasy IX
Used by Quina, it heals 1/3 of Quina's Max HP to all party members. This ability is learned by eating a Garuda, Griffin, Zemzelett, or Zuu.
[edit] Final Fantasy X
Used by Kimahri Ronso as an Overdrive. Just like in VIII and IX, it heals HP equal to the amount Kimahri has left.
[edit] Final Fantasy X-2
Used by a Gun Mage's Blue Bullet, and restores 1/8 of max HP as well as curing all negative statuses. There also exists a White Highwind, which is an enemy-exclusive ability, and restores 3/8 of max HP as well as removing statuses.
[edit] Final Fantasy XI
White Wind is a healing ability used by NM puks, especially during Besieged. It cannot be learned by Blue Mages.
[edit] Final Fantasy XII
This is an enemy skill used by certain monsters such as the Enkelados mark that prevents any status effects harming the character, much like the Paling and Magick Shield in the same game, which prevents physical damage and magickal damage respectively.
[edit] Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Used by Blue Mages. It is an area-effect magic which heals all in its radius by the amount of HP the caster has. It can be learned from the Sprite enemy, however the player will need to have a Beastmaster Control this enemy, as it would not normally heal the player's units.
[edit] Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
Used by Blue Mages. Like Tactics Advance, it heals for the amount of HP the caster has, but now has no effect on the caster, rendering them unable to recover their HP with this move. It is still learned from Sprites, and still requires a Beastmaster to learn.
