Perform white magic.
Description
White Magic (しろまほう, Shiro Mahō?), also known as White, is the primary ability of the White Mage job in Final Fantasy V. This branch of magic focuses on curative and defensive magic, with the exception of the Holy spell. It is disabled if the user is silenced. White Magic is purchased at towns and is divided into six levels. The Red Mage's Red Magic command can also use the White Magic spells up to level 3.

Mechanics
White Magic spells have been programmed to never miss.
Restorative spells' parameters are calculated as follows:
Healing is capped at 9999.
The result from the formula is converted into HP onto the target, unless the target is undead, when it is damaged by that amount instead.
White Magic abilities give characters the White Mage's base Magic based on the following formula:
- Magic = White Mage Base Magic - 2 * (6 - White Mage Job Level)
The value of the base Magic granted in this way is capped at the White Mage's base.
Thus the base Magic stat for a character with White Magic equipped would be as follows:
- Level 1 = 39 base Magic
- Level 2 = 41 base Magic
- Level 3 = 43 base Magic
- Level 4 = 45 base Magic
- Level 5 = 47 base Magic
- Level 6 = 49 base Magic
- Level 7 = 49 base Magic
Upon mastery, Freelancers and Mimes gain the White Mage's base Magic unless they already have a higher base from another mastered job.
After leveling up or mastering a job with White Magic any job can use the command of the desired level. To use all spells one must level White Mage to Level 5. White Magic is the primary ability for White Mages, and they don't need the specific level if their current job is White Mage.
The White Magic command takes 10 AP for level 1, 20 for level 2, 30 for level 3, 50 for level 4, 70 for level 5 and 100 for level 6.

Etymology
White magic has traditionally referred to the use of supernatural powers or magic for good and selfless purposes. With respect to the philosophy of left-hand path and right-hand path, white magic is the benevolent counterpart of malicious black magic. Because of its ties to traditional pagan nature worship, white magic is often also referred to as "natural magic".
