The White Mage is a job class in Final Fantasy III. It is gained from the Wind Crystal. In the opening FMV of the DS remake, Refia is depicted as a White Mage. White mages excel in assisting the party with defensive and restorative white magic. Some offensive magic is also available. They possess low attack power and defense.

White Mages are one of the only classes to cast level 4-7 white magic, making them valuable throughout the entire game. However, once the Devout class has been unlocked, the White Mage loses its usefulness.
