Wall (ウォール, Wōru?) is a spell in the Final Fantasy series. It usually adds the Protect and Shell statuses to an ally.

Final Fantasy II

Template:Sideicon Wall first appears as a spell in Final Fantasy II and blocks Black Magic spells up to its level. For instance, Wall3 will block all Black Magic spells of levels 1 to 3 instantly. A bug in the NES version will still show the blocked spell's graphics, and when used on an enemy in conjunction with a KO spell, such as Toad or Warp, that enemy will instantly die regardless of the KO spell's accuracy.

Final Fantasy VII

Template:Sideicon Wall is the final spell learned from the Barrier Materia after accumulating 30,000 AP on the Materia. It adds the Barrier and MBarrier status effects to an ally and costs 58 MP to cast. Safer∙Sephiroth is the only boss in the game to use the spell against the party.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-

Template:Sideicon Wall can be cast when Zack is equipped with Wall Materia. It costs 42 MP and grants Zack Barrier and MBarrier status. It can be made through Materia Fusion by fusing a mastered Elemental Ward with a mastered Libra, fusing Barrier with any DMW Materia, fusing Quake with any HP Up Materia, or fusing a mastered Barrier with a mastered Elemental Ward. One can also be obtained by completing the Nibelheim wonders sidequest.

Wall is also an enemy ability. It is used by Hexodon.

Final Fantasy VIII

Template:Sideicon Wall is a Limit Break usable only through Selphie's Slots. It grants Protect and Shell to the whole party.

Final Fantasy X

Template:Sideicon Mighty Wall is an item that can be created using Rikku's Mix Overdrive. It bestows Protect and Shell to the allied party.

Final Fantasy X-2

Template:Sideicon Yuna's Mascot dressphere can learn and use both Moogle Wall and Moogle Wallja. Wall, Hi-Wall, and Final Wall are all abilities available from the Alchemist's Mix command.

Final Fantasy Type-0

Template:Sideicon Wall is usable in this game. The spell actually creates a wall in front of the caster protecting them from projectiles.

Wall is a spell learned by the White Mage Job class for 400 JP. It costs 24 MP to use and has a speed of 25. Unlike Protect and Shell, it only targets one unit and is less accurate.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Template:Sideicon Again, the spell Barrier, used by the Bishop, has the same effect and is learned through the Pomegranate Staff for 200 AP. It costs 8 MP to cast and can target allies from three spaces away.
