I must say I am disapointed by the lack of comments on this. I guess there just aren't many Final Fantasy 7 fans on this website. Well sinse I hate that red ink on the Comments buttonn, I'm writing something down. Its more or less filler.
Some bizzare news. Only several days after I finished this walkthrough, some random Fuckhead deleted this whole page and replaced it with this lovely sentiment:

Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6. TALK - 18:36, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
If you want to start a fanboy flamewar, I'm declaring myself out of the picture.
DrakemasterDrake - "I would rather live a short life of glory than a long one of obscurity." TALK - DrakemasterDrake 02:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC) The clock on this site is so messed up, why bother?
VII taught me to read too. I remember going to my mom and saying: "Mommy, what's he saying? It's in the blue box." Back when I was, like, six. And it's the only game to ever make me cry, but not because Aries died, no I had that ruined for me by my Dad's lazy friend who had to live with us, but just a few weeks ago, when I was watching this movie:[1]

Ah this is the first walkthrough I'm following completely, Blue :D Though sometimes I can't stand your FF8 hate (rhymes... O: ) I still have profound respect for you because you don't dis FFXII(that's the most important reason, I kill people who do), and you write awesome walkthroughs. Like this one. I'm getting the farthest I've gotten in FFVII because of this guide, and I'm happy to say I love being a Space Monkey! =D Good luck finishing the VI walkthrough, and I hope you do XII after that.

8bit BlackMage - Beyond the Sky TALK - Why do chemists call helium, curium, and barium 'the medical elements'? Because, if you can't 'helium' or 'curium', you... um... ._.; - {{{time}}}
Noooo..... you're rewriting it! BH, that walkthrough is what brought me to this wiki in the first place. I had the entire plot of VII spoiled for me because I couldn't stop reading it. It was so hilariously offensive (
Other than improved grammar, planned Boss Templates (that I hope will look fantastic), and whatever writing techniques I've learn in the last three seasons, nothing will be changed. Same advise, though I'm hoping to make it clearer this time around. And of course, more pictures. As for your worries about offensiveness. That is something I couldn't change if I wanted to. I'll be reusing my favorite comments along with adding new ones. Ver2.0 should prove longer than the first one.
Good luck rewriting it ^_^

Frankly, I don't care if you use the exact same jokes, it's your own walkthrough. Some of them were so wild and random they were funny, along your frequent use of the f-bomb. The poor grammar only enhanced this. I can grammar-check each page for you as you write it if you want. It probably won't be as proficient as End Game, but it'll give me an excuse to read the whole thing again.
How to Play Final Fantasy VII[]
Kool. But these times it's not so right.
- First you're going to need a TV made sometime in the Nineties or later, hopefully its in color.
- Second you're going to need one of the three models of the PlayStation Line.
Actually, today probably the most popular PS model people (including myself) use, is the ePSXe. Which is also the best way to play FF7 on modern PCs. And your disclaimer about "only for the original American version of FFVII on the PlayStation 1" technically doesn't apply :-P.
Emulators don't count. I don't know how to use an emulator, let alone what kind of software, hardware, or computer you would need. I've never even seen an emulator, let alone how you could work it. If I don't know (and don't really care) then it's not going in. Why would you even want to use one? Hitting keys or clicking does not have the same satisfaction as using a controller.
Sweet Nightmare - Hey, would you say...I became a hero? TALK - I've thought of a wonderful present for you. Shall I give you despair? {{{time}}}
If only I'd been a game player back in 1997. I would have been playing this. However, I was only four, and I'm sure my brother wouldn't've let me so much as touch his games. The first game I ever played that wasn't Pipe Dream, Mario, or Tetris, was Pokemon: Yellow Version. I still have it too. I would've used your walkthrough had it not been under construction when I found it. So I used Drake's instead. But I might go with your WEAPON strategy. ^-^
Leoud Strifehart - where do i get me a buster sword... TALK - If this is all a dream, don't wake me up 23:12, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
I'm currently playing FFVII on a PSX disk with psxe and from my perspective, there's no reason to mention anything about an emu in the guide. before you judge, my PS2 wouldn't save FFVII onto a PSX mem card, and so when I got all the way to the first reno boss battle and lost, my save files weren't there. rage, yada yada yada, finally intrest is revived when I finally get sick of KHII and then i found this emulator, then i went back to the swamp and beat midgar fucking zolom and now im in wutai. good times. And I caught the Nirvana quote, by the way. Territorial Pissings. good taste, i applaud you.
Mistaken Info[]
During your walkthrough of the Rufus Parade in Junon you stated:
"51% or better 4000 gil It's worth mentioning that, should you only be after money, you may want to get the 6 ethers, because they sell for 750 gil apiece, totalling 4500 gil. Why they made the "best" reward cheaper than the next-best I'll never know."
The reward is actually 5000 gil. 24.176.148.239 06:16, May 29, 2014 (UTC)
While this is a good walkthrough and will get you most of the items in the game, I find the constant derogatory comments about characters and other games immature and annoying. The sense of humor, when not derogatory, isn't bad, but I mostly found this walkthrough helpful but annoying.

- You could just read another walkthrough if BlueHighwind's sense of humour is not your thing. There are other walkthroughs on the wiki.-- Technobliterator TC 22:16, May 31, 2014 (UTC)
- You're telling me, BH is an asshole. Who reads this garbage?
Morph Materia[]
While this is an "ok" walkthrough, it is far from the best I have ever seen. As other commentors have stated, there are better. Aside from the occasional grammar mistakes that I have noticed, there is a distinct lack of information on a few topics, and some completely wrong information on others.
Case in point > Morph Materia His statement > "At the first place where you can go up, take it to find a Morph Materia. This Materia can transform enemies into Items when used. Though it often fails, I think the lower the HP the better chance you have."
The way it actually works > This is a "command materia" similar to "steal" and other yellow's. It adds a command to your list of possible actions. What "morph" does is cause your character to perform their normal attack [such as a cut with a sword or a shot from a gun], but at a weaker power [based on your character's strength stat]. If an enemy is KILLED with this command, they are "morphed" into an item. Now of course, not all enemies are morphable [no bosses to my knowledge], this still plays a very important function. Example: those rhino-tank things at Gongaga that he likes, if killed with morph, they are turned into POWER SOURCES, meaning you can farm them to increase your normal attack damage [and the damage of morph]. There are enemies that can be morphed into each of the 6 "sources" making this actually a very helpful tool. Another use for this materia, is if you morph a specific enemy [Ghost Ship, underwater reactor], you can take the item it becomes [I think it is called "Guide Book"] to a man in Kalm, who will give you something very special for it, underwater materia, which will remove the time limit when fighting emerald weapon underwater.
Side note > For the adventurous and frugal hunters, the supply of items from weak enemies also has its up-points.
