No titles for this part. It's gonna be hella short so the next part can be hella long.
[edit] Some ship...
Okay, this is seriously screwed up. Yuna, who is apparently supposed to be saving the world, gets a crappy sailboat as supposed to a luxury cruseship? Didn't her father save the world last time? Shouldn't Yuna's heritage be well rewarded? She isn't even dressed to tough it out. Anyway, you're stuck on this boat. It's called the S.S. Liki if you care.
So anyway, Tidus will be causing mischief. How the hell he doesn't get seasick is beyond me. When you regain control, go down to the cabin and save your game. You'll also meet O'aka XXIII, who'll ask you to invest in his merchant business. Whether you do or not is a personal choice, but the more you give now will pay off later. There's also a room with a chest with a Remedy inside, you can also kick the suitcase 10 times for 10 potions. There's also a room where you learn that Spirans adopted technology from the Alexandrians and are making Chocobos run the ship. But they don't even give Chocobos some Gysahl Greens to chase! What do they do, whip the poor thing? I feel like I want to free that Chocobo. In this room is also the Al Bhed Primer III. MAKE SURE YOU PICK THIS UP NOW. You won't be able to get it again. (Well, you actually can, but I won't go into explaining how to do it). Save your game and go back to the deck. Now, talk to Wakka and he'll tell you that he has business in Kilika before the Blitzball game. We don't know what that business is yet, but apparently the Aurochs take praying for victory more seriously than Roger Staubach (Dallas sucks BTW). Anyway, after that, talk to Yuna. She'll actually believe Tidus's story about Zanarkand. And she'll tell Tidus that she knows Jecht, Tidus's father! Apparently Jecht thought much higher of Yuna than he did his own son. Apparently also Jecht travelled with Yuna's father to fight Sin. But before you go any further, Yuna is blown away. Kimahri tries to save her, and we notice something coming out.
It can't be!
Is it true?
The master of the seas!
That's...
Leviathan!!!!!!
Oh, wait, it's just Sin. Doing the same thing Leviathan did in Final Fantasy IV. Only this time he's not gonna get away with it. Kimahri joins your party and you now have to fight Sin.
Sin is flanked by three Sinscales. DO NOT KILL ALL THREE SINSCALES. If you do, they'll just regenerate. Kill two of them and then focus on Sin's dorsal fin itself. Note that you can only attack this with long range attacks. Wakka's Blitzball and Lulu's spells will work, as will summoning Valefor. Save his Overdrive for your last move so you can get the Overkill (ALWAYS go for the Overkill with bosses). Kimahri can't really do much here, and neither can Tidus. I guess you could use them to take down the Sinscales unless they have an Overdrive saved up (with Kimahri you'll just have to pray he gets hit a lot). Have Yuna perform all the healing in this battle; you'll need your potions badly coming up.
Once you deal enough damage to Sin, he'll throw Tidus overboard. Wakka will jump in the water to save him. You'll immediately have another fight coming up. This fight is against Sinspawn Echuilles (didn't Square know it was spelled "Euchilles?") and more Sinscales. Don't attack ANY of the Sinscales unless you see their turn coming up and you're low on HP (something that you might be in this hard fight). Have Wakka start off immediately with his Dark Attack, and PRAY that Blind hits. Echuilles uses some tough attacks, such as Drain Touch, which acts like Drain to absorb HP (except it's a physical attack, so Blind'll stop it from working), and Blender which deals damage to both Wakka and Tidus. He'll use Blender every three turns, so try to anticipate this, and the Sinscale attacks (thank God (or thank Yevon) that the CTB lets you anticipate turns. Use Potions liberally here (you should have plenty). Eventually you'll win and get to watch Sin destroy Kilika.
