Okay, this is it, the last part! And I WILL finish the walkthrough within the night if it will KILL me! So, go back to the game's last Save Point I mentioned at the end of Part 32. Now, go north into the next area.

[edit] How long to the POINT OF NO RETURN

So now you're in a circular room. There's a new enemy here: the Land Worm. It uses the same attacks as the Abyss Worm, and isn't a threat. Hell, it only has 80,000 HP, and you can kill it in one hit with your uber stuff. The only thing you can Steal from it is a single Stamina Spring. When it dies, it drops weapons that inflict Slow and armor that increases your HP or has Auto Potion. Just kill it.

Anyway, you need to touch 10 gems that pop up while avoiding the ice blades, which put you in a random battle. Here's what the gems have:

Once you collect all these you'll be transported to an area you may remember from the very beginning of the game. This is where Tidus was swimming.

Jecht will begin talking. He'll catch up on old times with Tidus and wonder how he's been. Tidus will blurt out that he hates Jecht still, and Jecht asks Tidus to kill him before Sin completely takes him over. But Jecht says he has to fight Tidus because Yu Yevon is making him.

This is the final battle.

Here we go...Braska's Final Aeon. He's flanked by two Yu Pagodas. These things can heal Jecht for 15,000 HP at a time, and charge up his Overdrive meter each turn, so kill them first. The Yu Pagodas can also use Curse, and this doesn't just inflict Curse. It also inflicts Poison, Blind, Silence, and Sleep. Be careful though. The Yu Pagodas have 5,000 HP, and the Yu Pagodas revive themselves, and their new max HP will be however much damage you did to it the last time, which means if you did an attack for 4,999 HP and then an attack for 5,000 HP, it'll have 9,999 HP the next time. If you're getting frustrated with the Overdrive gauge, have Tidus Talk to Jecht to lower it. Anyway, Jecht attacks with Jecht Beam which deals damage and Petrification to a character and Triumphant Grasp, which deals two attacks to random characters, and it can inflict Zombie. Finally, there's Jecht's Overdrive, Ultimate Jecht Shot, which massive physical damage to the entire party. His first form has 60,000 HP, but when Jecht dies, he transforms. Auron should use Power Break to reduce the damage the attacks take. Eventually, Jecht will transform into a new form with 120,000 HP, and the Yu Pagodas will revive. Jecht now has two new attacks: Jecht Bomber, which is very powerful and hits everyone, and Sword Swipe, which hits one character. Anyway, you can throw away all your items here, and have Rikku Mix, Mix, Mix. It doesn't matter. Eventually it'll go down.

But the game isn't over yet! Jecht will make fun of the assclown for crying, and Tidus will thank him for being a good father. But Yu Yevon appears for the first time, and looks pissed. The purple dude appears and tells Yuna to summon all her Aeons.

[edit] Farewell and good riddance

Okay, so in this fight, you'll have to have Yuna summon an Aeon. It doesn't matter which one you summon, you'll have to fight it. Anyway, the game is being cheap on you here and giving you unlimited HP for some reason. You have to summon your Aeons and beat them back one at a time. The Yu Pagodas are still there as well, and they can get pretty damn annoying because they turn the fight into a damn stalemate.

  • Later, Magus Sisters. Delta Attack failed again!
  • Adios, Anima! Why would I need help from a bug in chains anyway?
  • Arrivaderci, Yojimbo! All you did was ask me for money. Well you need to learn to stop your desires!
  • Begone, Bahamut! You were useless when we had Anima anyway!
  • Shalom, Shiva! You were completely useless in this game anyway!
  • It's been hell, Ixion! I missed Ramuh!
  • I'll miss you, Ifrit! At least until you make a reappearance!
  • Very well, Valefor, I'll have to say goodbye to you too! Even though you were Yuna's favorite. I hate Yuna and therefore I hate you!

Okay, now that that's done, Yu Yevon will get REALLY pissed and show his true face: a bug. Tidus says he's gonna die after the fight, much to everyone's sadness.

Let's just squish this thing.

Yu Yevon counters ALL attacks with Curaga, but you still have unlimited HP, so cast Reflect on Yu Yevon or else this will be a stalemate. You can't use your Aeons either considering you killed them all off.

Now, Yuna begins to Send all the Fayth, and Auron along with them. Tidus FINALLY disappears as a result and Yuna runs up to him and tells him she loves him. What a bad taste in men Yuna has. Anyway, Tidus is gone and Sin is gone forever and we can rejoice.

[edit] Worst ending ever!

So now we go to Luca, where Yuna makes a speech. That's it. That's the whole damn ending. No moments that make me want to cry. This isn't Final Fantasy VI or Final Fantasy IX. No good endings here, just a lame speech by a lame character. And people actually thought this was GOOD! It's not good at all. I don't know what kind of drugs people are on when they say this ending is good. Then the credits roll (to the lame JPop ballad), and then we see Tidus swimming around, and then the game ends. Lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame.

Now, give yourself a pat on the back! You just survived a voice acting nightmare to finish this game! And you can add it to your list!
