Chocolancer here, presenting you Part 7 of my 最终幻想7 walkthrough...

Nibelheim[]

There's really not much to do here. You can upgrade your weapons and magic here. If you talk to the townspeople around (and, in case you didn't know, these are Shinra employees), Cloud'll insist that he once lived here, but being rats that they are, they'll say that he's lying. No use trying to talk to them, you're only job here is to go to the "Shinra Mansion" up north. The mansion itself is just a large room and throne. Our dear little Sephy pops in and he and Cloud talk. It is probably here that Sephy lobs Cloud with Gravity Materia, but that doesn't happen here. When that's done, get out.

From the World Map, head north-west again through the river to reach Rocket Town. Mt. Nibel doesn't exist in this game, which is quite a relief if you ask me...

Rocket Town[]

CidTeaNES

Yeah....

Inside, you'll see what is really the Nautilus Tiny Bronco, which looks pretty small large for a nimble aicraft. The rocket is up north, made of a series of pillars and bridges, so technically, it's not even a rocket. To get inside the house with the Tiny Bronco, you have to enter through the area with the dirt patch on it, signifying that it's the front door. Inside, Shera'll tell you about 希德 (aka Cid, aka Captain) and how he's in the rocket if you want to ask permission. So you go in the rocket, and you meet Cid. He talks and talks about his failed dream of being the first astronaut and all that. When he's done, go back to his house. Cid'll come in and treat his spouse like an abused wife and say his trademark phrase. "Fat Lady" Palmer comes in and tries for some fatty tea, and goes out to grab the Tiny Bronco, all the while, Cid gets pissed at everyone going after the damn thing...

Boss Battle: Palmer (布莱尔)
PalmerBattle
XP: ~968 XP
Gil: ~96 Gil
Difficulty: Monotony Incarnate

Description:

How could some as fat as Palmer look like a freaking ninja? Well, whatever. "She" attacks with Bolt1, Dark1, and heals with Cure1. "She's" resistant to Holy, but has no specific weaknesses. Just hit her will all the Materia you got. Either that or use physical attacks as they might actually do you some use...

After that, you take off in the Tiny Bronco with Cid in it. The whole cutscene where the ship gets blasted down happens right in front of Rufus, and you automatically head to the world map. The Tiny Bronco is pretty much your ship now, and can only land on docks, unfortunately.

With Cid now in your party, he's gonna be your strongest party member. His Str and Int is really high, and his spears do a great deal of damage. he also comes along with Water Materia, which will be pretty useful later on. He joins you at around level 60. Cid mentions the Temple of the Ancients and how you're next destination should be there...But first, unless you've even played the game, you need the Keystone. sail all the way down, and around the stubby cape of Gongaga, and skim the coast for a dock nearby a lone house. Inside, the Mythril guy (who also keeps Aerith's LV4 Limit Break) will tell you about the Keystone and how he sold it to Dio of the Gold Saucer. No time to waste. Head on over to the dock at Costa Del Sol and take the Corel tram to the Gold Saucer. Make sure to equip Cloud the Water Materia.

Gold Saucer[]

Inside the "Treasure Room/Arena", you'll see the Keystone on that little altar thing. You're then pitted against six monsters with Cloud alone. I'm just going to list them in order without the use of a boss template, since there's no specific strategy among them.

  • Goblin, ~917 XP, ~91 G
  • Mage, ~870 XP, ~87 G, resistant to magic
  • Mummy, ~937 XP, ~93 G
  • Ogre, ~890 XP, ~89 G
  • Lizalfos, ~941 XP, ~94 G, resistant to physical attacks
  • Cyclops, ~996 XP, ~99 G

Once you've finished all of them, Dio'll hand the Keystone over. If you try to leave the Gold Saucer, the tram will be conveniently broken, so you stay the night.

For the date scene, you'll automatically have Aeris as your date. The only thing you guys will do is the play. You have no control over it, so the game is fixed so that you screw it up. Regardless, Aeris is extremely shallow in this game and she'll proclaim that she's having a lot of fun, assuming you took the gondola around the Saucer, which you didn't. After that, you're supposed to leave the Saucer. It's there that CaitSith will hand over the Keystone to the Turks and they'll have their talk about keeping him, regardless of the fact that he's a spy and that he took Marlene and Elmyra hostage.

So on the next day, you should head out from El Dorado via the tram and back to Costa Del Sol. Sail along the coast until you reach the little house on the dock again, and from there sail a wee bit south-east to reach another port to the Temple of the Ancients. Upon landing, take the detour around that annoying mountain to get there.

Temple of the Ancients[]

TempleAncientsNES

Imitating Escher-esque architecture...

When you reach the Pantheon-esque shrine, Tseng will be there, dying according to the Chinese pirate. He hands over the Keystone to you and "dies", in which Aerith starts "crying". When you place that Keystone over the shrine, you'll be in a continuous paths of square landmasses, which is really confusing. I don't have specific directions, but a clue is all you need. To get to the room with the Black Materia in it, you have to go to a path on the left side of the south-west portion of the giant room. It shouldn't be too hard to find...

You'll know you're there when you reach a different area, leading to a guy and a star. It's there that dear little Sephy will quote out his twisted soliloquy of making the Planet suffer using Meteor. Enough of that bullshit as he sends out his pet dragon to eat you up...

Boss Battle: RedDragon (红龙)
RedDragonBattle
XP: ~941 XP
Gil: ~94 Gil
Difficulty: Monotony Incarnate

Description:

The Red Dragon is weak against Bolt and Earth, but strong against Water and Dark. He attacks with mediocre-levelled magic such as Blaze1, Quake1, Rage1, and the strong Fire3. It'll take a while to finish this guy off, like any other, and ends too abruptly, which is sorely disappointing.

When that's done, CaitSith will pop out and say he's gonna sacrifice himself to get the Black Materia. Leave the area, making sure to deequip everyone of their Materia. Cloud'll say an innuendo right there. A "wall" jumps out and attacks you...

Boss Battle: DemonGate (时光魔神)
DemonGateBattle
XP: ~925 XP
Gil: ~93 Gil
Difficulty: Monotony Incarnate

Description:

You fight with Cloud alone, making this battle rather tedious to fight. It fights with Holy1 and Holy3, which packs quite a punch, and cures itself with Cure1. It's weak against Earth and Dark, so make use of that. Make sure to put those Potions to good use if you're dying...

TempleCloudNES

.....oook?

When that's done, Cloud and Aeris are automatically outside the temple again. You grab the Black Materia, but the temple itself doesn't seem to crumble apart, and CaitSith isn't coming back this time (which fulfills many fans' wishes of getting rid of that evil toy spy, but not mine unfortunately). Sephy comes in and plays Cloud like a marionette so he could give him the Black Materia. Being an angsty emo, Cloud couldn't believe that he actually gave the stupid thing to him and beats the crap out of Aeris, like a pimp using his cane to beat his hoes..., though you don't see it happening at all.

*gasp*, the screen turns black! You, unfortunately, can't see the whole forest scene, it's just Aeris and Cloud saying their lines.....Boring! I'm gonna make something random up just for the sake of entertainment!

  • Cloud: ....unnnhhh....
  • Aeris: Huh? What is it Cloud?
  • Cloud: Aeris......nnnhhh....
  • Aeris: Oh, you want me to stroke your cock?
  • Cloud: mrrrghhhh.......
  • Aeris: But you just beat the living crap out of me back at the Temple....why should I give you a blowjob? You don't deserve it.
  • Cloud: (moans in agony) But Aeris....agghhhh....unnhhhh... (gets hot 'n heavy)
  • Aeris: See ya...I'm off to save the world! lalalalalaa.... (goes of into the Sleeping Forest)
  • Sephy: Mwahahahaha....so the girl didn't give you your Just Desserts, huh? Virgin...I'm off to stab her and have sweet sweet necrophilliac love with her body...OH! (pelvic thrust; strides off)
  • Cloud: NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  • Tifa: (in reality) Cloud! Cloud?! You just splooged all over yourself!

Gongaga[]

So here, Cloud wakes up and goes all whiny and emo about going insane again and....I'm not gonna say anything about his emo-ness anymore. They're just gonna talk as they did in the original, until you take control of them. Get the hell out, take the buggy back to Costa Del Sol, and ride the Tiny Bronco up north until you reach icy land. Drop by the port and enter the village.

Bone Village[]

There's really nothing much to do here. Just like in the original, you're to dig up the Lunar Harp. You're given an option by the digmaster to either look for treasure, or find the Lunar Harp. Don't bother picking the first option as you're never going to get anything out of it, so it's more of a money-hogging scheme. When finding the Lunar Harp, it costs 100 Gil for a digger. You can only have five diggers at a time, and they should only be placed on "dig spots", where there are mounds of dirt on them. Make sure to put the diggers by the trees, since I found the Lunar Harp this way. It might be different, but I haven't bothered to play the digging game again after that...Pay close attention to the results, because once you find the Lunar Harp, it's not gonna appear in your inventory list. When you do have it, all you need to do is cross the forest up north, to appear in an obscure cave out of the world map.

From there, go to the abandoned ruin close by to reach the Forgotten Capital.
