It's an emotional time for me. I'm watching the final episode of New Tricks. It's run for twelve years straight and I love it ;-;

I'll be okay. Besides, I have this to write! It's Part 31 of my walkthrough; enjoy it.

Fly to the western end of the Crescent chain. You'll find Castle Bal, with a cave nearby.

Jachol Cave[]

Enemies[]

It's time to take revenge on the squirrels of death! The ABP is comparatively unimpressive now, but them's the breaks. Make your way to the back of the cave (you should remember the way; look here in case you forgot. At the back is that climbable wall. Climb up to find the basement of Castle Bal. Open the door behind you and you can access the Save Point you were using when grinding Objet d'Art earlier.

Proceed north in the new area, navigating past the cracks in the floor to find a summon sphere.

Boss Battle: Odin
Odin-ffv-ios

Level: 2
HP: 17,000
MP: 500
ABP: 0

Steal: Protect Ring
Drops: Flame Shield

Weakness: -
Immunity: -
Absorbs: Holy

Difficulty: Medium
Strategy:

You get one minute to win, or it's Game Over. He absorbs Holy, so remove the Excalibur and Holy Lance. He's vulnerable to Level 2 Old, which is useful if you find his attacks too powerful. After setting it, rock out with Rapid Fire with all four characters in a powerful melee Job and you should beat him just before time. Don't worry about having ABP Up on everyone for this; you don't get any for beating Odin.

Alternatively, use Break or Break Spellblade for a potential instant win.

And that's all the summons! Feel proud of yourself. You're now ready to take on the final dungeon. Assuming that your checklist is up to speed, of course ;)

Bestiary[]

  • #87
  • #123 - #203
  • #283 - #298

I think this is 80% of the Bestiary complete. Next time, it's off to the Interdimensional Rift! I'd recommend purchasing 99 of every curative and scroll, and possibly some (Fuma) Shurikens. If you think you're ready, fly to where Castle Tycoon was and enter the Void! It's getting freaky, huskies.
