Orbonne Monastery - Monastery Vaults Edit
You will have many fights in this place, just like in Lionel. This fights are 50-50, not that hard but not that easy. You could lose if you aren't prepared. Make a backup file just in case. Believe me, there's nothing worst than restart a game by a stupid mistake.
When we go inside the Monastery Vaults, we will se that someone has come before us. Then the Elder Simon, the guy who talked with Ovelia at the beginning of the game appears, he seems to get hurt by a army, probably the guys who came before us. Those dudes are working with the High Confessor Marcel Funebris (and you thought Zalmour had a long name) who has a plan to take over the power of Ivalice: First, create a rift between the Nobles and the Crown, that way Ivalice will be divided into two sides, each side with a Lion as a lider but that will create a war that will kill us all, nice. He then will use the Zodiac Braves to manipulate the common people, wow, that's evil.
Ramza leaves Alma in the first floor, even thought Alma wants to fight, that will help, her "Aegis" Spell will save our asses in the next fights but Ramza cares about her sister too much. After that scene, you can save your game, save in the backup file as I told you before.
Second Level Edit
|Battle Number: 25|
|Location||Monastery Vaults Second Level|
|Foes||3 Dragoons, 2 Time Mages, 1 Chemist|

|Objective||Defeat All Enemies|
|Difficulty||Keep your focus and victory is yours.|
|Recommended Level||Level 24.|
Isilud Tengille, a member of the Knight Templars and the leader of the army that is in the Monastery, sends a group of soldiers to slow us down. Also, Wiegraf joined the Knights Templar, this sucks.
This fight is quite interesting since the enemy is using a very balanced party: Those Dragoons are deadly fighters and they are being supported by two Time Mages to give them positive status effects and a Chemist to heal them. The two Dragoons are also wielding two Partisans, the best Spear so far. One of the Time Mages has Black Magic as a backup command, that can be a threat if you're not careful.
To get to those Time Mages and the Chemist, you must defeat those Dragoons, that's when things gets good: Send your Black Mage to attack them, since the Black Mage is very weak, send Mustadio as a Chemist or a White Mage to heal the poor Mage. Since you're fighting Dragoons for the first time, send your Dragoon/Thief to steal those Partisans from those dudes, is always better steal than buy in this game, remember that. Agrias using "Hallowed Bolt" and Ramza with the Blood Sword can help a lot to kill those Dragoons.
While those units of yours are fighting, send a couple of Generics to kill the Time Mages and the Chemist. I suggest a Samurai, if you already have one of those and a Monk with "Shockwave". The Samurai doesn't need to know any "Laido" skill since you'll be using it for their physical attacks. Send the Monk to kill the Chemist, if the enemy can heal themself, you will won easily.
Third Level Edit
|Battle Number: 26|
|An Offer of Mercy|
|Location||Monastery Vaults Third Level|
|Foes||Isilud, 2 Knights, 2 Archers, 1 Summoner|
X . . . . X X X X X X X X X X X . . . . front
|Difficulty||Medium, only for Isilud|
|Recommended Level||Level 24|
After dealing with Isilud's army, we are going against the man himself. Which is a good thing since you don't even have to kill him to win the fight, you only have to hurt him badly, just like when we fought Wiegraf.
We are fighting Isilud, so you'll be asking what is his special job class. The Nightblade job class, besides of having a incredible badass name, is just a mix between a Knight and a Dragoon. He knows all the Rend skills and the highest Horizontal and Vertical "Jumps", that doesn't sound so special but Isilud can jump and hit you with a Sword, which are a stronger type of weapon than those Spears but you should know that by know.
The enemy's team isn't anything to be afraid of. Those Knights are too far and they are too slow to hurt you, you will probably finish the battle without getting a single hit from them. The Archers are a threat for the second time in this game (the first one was the first fight in Dorter), since they use Bows, they can attack you from Long Range in this Labyrinth while you can't hit them, this becomes really annoying very fast.
And the Summoner, I found amazing how your Summoners are never useful while the enemy always knows how to make them a pain in the ass. Is the same deal with the Archers but worst, they can summon heavy Summons like "Shiva" or even worst, "Titan". And since the attack is Long Range, you can't hurt it, what a pain in the ass. But they need a lot of charge, take that opportunity to kill it.
To beat the crap out of this team, this is what you are going to do: Bring a Time Mage to speed up your team with "Hasteja" at the beginning of the battle, so keep your units close to each other so they can all recive the boost. After that, focus all your attacks on Isilud. Your Black Mage should go to kill Isilud with a blast of "Thundaga" and if the guy hasn't jump, use "Stop" on him to stop his powerful "Jump" attacks.
Ramza can boost his attack with "Focus" for two turns or three, then he can kill any light unit of the enemy. Agrias must use "Hallowed Bolt" on Isilud too if you really want to win the fight quickly. Send our Machinist friend, Mustadio, to use "Leg Shot" on Isilud, that way "Stop" will be a sure thing. Your Dragoon/Thief can kill that Summoner with a "Jump" attack if you stole that Partisan in the last battle.
