Yeah, you know who it is. Hexed. Just follow instructions.
Red Mage/Scholar (I don't give a shit between em)
Talk to Cid, Get a cutscene that gives some info on the heroes' origins (no I'm not talking about the planned TV show) and a Sea/Airship. NOW LET'S GET OFF THIS SHITTY FLOATING CONTINENT!!!!!
Go into the Enterprise, press A and fly off the side of the map. You'll get a cutscene
Well this place is dreary isn't it? All black and purple, the nerve! There's no random encounters around here, so don't worry. Fly up to the topmost island on your world map, land in the water go onto land and then go into the shipwreck.
No treasure on the first screen, it should be easy to guess where to go to get to the next part of the ship, second floor is essentially nothing. The third floor is where it gets better, one chest has a BLOOD SWORD! which should be equipped to your Knight. Another chest has a Zeus's wrath which will be useful against Kraken, now talk to the old person, get a cutscene, give a potion to the person on the bed. She'll join you, she casts Cura and stuff sometimes. Leave. Fly to the largest island in this dreary place. Go into the temple, walk all the way up to the crystal room, which will have a crystal shard.
Cave of TidesEdit
All enemies in this dungeon but Twin Heads are weak to thunder.
This'll be your hardest dungeon so far, remember to bring some eye drops. From the temple walk north-east. Save before going in. The first room is simple, just follow the path. At the door, Aria will break it down with some priestess shit. Go into the next room. The enemies around here will hit hard, around here is where the game's difficulty goes all the way up to 11 ! In this second room, just go along the bridge, which i'm surprised doesn't snap when our heroes walk over it. Once you're on the other side walk downwards go get into the next room. This third room is linear as the rest of the dungeon, your Red Mage should be spamming the use of Light Staffs for all encounters. The fourth room is one of the most complicated ones in this generic water dungeon. The second bridge is the one you want. Next room is pretty linear unless you want to go up the stairs which lead to a path which at the very end, has Blizzaga. From there all you have to do is to follow the path. Eventually you'll get to the crystal room and a boss, Kraken. In the cutscene you get, he'll kill Aria, but she's mainly a NPC so she's a vegetable and doesn't matter. But watching Luneth get cranky is funnay.
Magic is the way to go here. Blizzaga should be doing a fair bit of damage if you got a Red mage so should using up of all your other attack items if you have a Scholar. Geomancy while unpredictable, could be your main damage source in this fight. He'll cast Blind to try and blind your meleers and his physical attacks can do the same thing. He might cast Blizzara which will hurt. A lot. He's weak to thunder so that could tip the battle in your favor. If anyone dies, try and revive then heal them. Even with these strategies, he might just doublecast Blizzara and then your fucked.
After you win you get Water Crystal job classes which include DRAGOONS!!!!!!
End of Part IX.
