< Walkthrough:Final Fantasy | Rocking Chair
I'm afraid that this is the last of the Soul of Chaos dungeons. Unfortunately we aren't finished yet but I Rocking Chair will guide you home.
Lifespring Grotto
Edit
Remember Melmond? well we don't exactly have to go back there however we have to go back near it. You may remember passing a Whirlpool a couple of times and not knowing what its for. Well it actually houses some of the baddest motherfuckers to ever step onto your Cartridge.

| B20 | BOSS BATTLE |
This place only has 20 floors compared to the 40 killer floors of the Whisperwind cove. However we still have to go through here twice so its just half as much to right but I have to play for just as long. Despite having 20 floors the bosses in here are so strong that I recommend going in over level 60 just so they don't tear you apart so quickly. You may want to equip those strong weapons and buy every spell in the game and use all those Luck Plus ect. To give you that extra edge in here. Its not going to be easy.
Sunken Shrine 1
Edit
Well we are underwater so this actually kind of makes sense that there would be water here. This floor happens to have a lot of rooms but its pointless entering most of them. There are only two rooms here that have treasure one is in the North-West corner and the other is around the middle of the room. You can find the exit in the South-East.
Sunken Shrine 2
Edit
Pretty much the same as the first Sunken Shrine floor however there aren't as many rooms here but the exit is in the South-East corner again. There is treasure to the North on a little bit of land and two to the East one right East and the other one a little bit inwards from that. The final one is right near the exit in the last room.
Sunken Shrine 3
Edit
This place is an absolute mess. There is water all over the place and dead ends are plentiful. There is some treasure that you can find a bit in from the West. Another one can be found just north of that. The final chest is along the southern border where you need to go up a little to find the stairs.
Sunken Shrine 4
Edit
This is the floor with heaps of big rooms. Otherwise it i very similar to the other Sunken Shrine rooms. You can find treasure in the Southern Points of the room and in the North-Eastern corner. The stairs are located to the Northwest.
Sunken Shrine 5
Edit
This floor is another boring under-the-sea floor in this annoying dungeon. Again you can find the treasure in the southern corners and another one is around the middle of the level slightly to the East. The Exit is to the North-West.
Sunken Shrine 6
Edit
Thank Christ this is the last of these annoying Sunken Shrine Floors. Some-one needs to clean the walls of this dungeon seriously. There is a treasure room along the south of this level and also another one in the North-West corner. If you want to leave go back to where you entered and travel in a big horse-shoe shape towards the West.
Simply is south, West then North.
Sky Castle 1
Edit
Yes we are back here again somehow. You can travel across the various paths that appear here however if you keep going South and East you will find the exit. To the East there is a treasure room. There is also another room to the West of the main path and near that is a path that will lead to the last treasure chest.
Sky Castle 2
Edit
Welcome to hell, No I'm serious this is Final Fantasies equivalent of hell. The paths here cannot make up their mind so instead disappear an reappear at will. You can also fall of the edge (A first in Final Fantasy main series I think) and it will hurt you. This level luckily doesn't have any enemies but you'll be falling off the edge so many times that you will still lose a fair share of HP. Save as soon as you enter this floor. The directions are as follows...
- You appear at the central point of the room, remember this
- Head north until the crossroad.
- follow the path right and South
- Continue South past the next intersection
- Once you see the next Split-Road go South-West
- Another cross road continue South-West
- Keep on going until the next intersection where we go North
- Continue North and it will take you East then South again.
From here on just head north ignoring everything else in this level Don't turn off the path and hopefully you will find the exit. I hope that worked otherwise you are on your own. There is plentiful treasure here but it really isn't worth it. If you are desperate to find it then be my guest however I will not help you because your more likely to die before you find it all.
Rocking Rocks
Edit
There are pillars everywhere here that happen to get in the way no matter what you do. There is some treasure to the North-West and South-East of the central part of the room so grab them then walk your way around the outside of the room to the South where you will find the Exit. You should pass the other two chests on the way but for those who didn't they are in the South-West and South-East parts of the floor.
Pillar Room 1
Edit
This room is hard to navigate because there are so many pillars blocking the way. It is quite normal to get lost so don't stress. If you are getting sick of this place leave at the North-Eastern point of the room otherwise lets go find some treasure. There are two chests that you can find around the South-East. There is another chest around the North-West part of the room and the final one is a bit to the south of the Exit.
Pillar Room 2
Edit
This room is a hell of easier than the previous floor. There is treasure in the North-East, South-West and North-West points of the room. There is another chests along the North section on this room and once you are done exit via the South-East.
Ice Cavern
Edit
The Spikes are back again. This shit is really starting to get old Square. You should be sick of this after the big run of Ice Cavern's that we had to go through the Whisperwind Cove. The three treasure chests here are along the Western Wall and once we are done the Exit is around the center of the floor
Dragon Hunting
Edit
We are back inside the Dragon islands with the big bad king of dragons, Bahamut. To prove your worth to him you must kill a certain amount of dragons and talk to bahamut again to exit here. Of course you can kill them all if you want to but it really isn't necessary. We need to save our strength for the end of this place.
The Book Club
Edit
This floor is pretty pointless. It's just a big library with interlectuals that have nothing else to do but sit underground and read. There are no enemies to speak of so you can take your time and gather the treasure. From where you entered this floor go north to find a chest then to the South-West corner. Along the Eastern wall is the final chest and the exit.
Canoe
Edit
No enemies here too. Just row your boat around the place looking for treasure that can be found along the western wall (3) and the final chest is along the Southern border.
Floor with Big Rooms
Edit
This floor has four separate big rooms in it. In each of these big rooms you can find a treasure chest. If you are looking for the Exit you can find it int he South-Western room in the corner to progress.
Let's Dance
Edit
We have beaten the four elemental fiends, Braved Cerberus, smashed Barbarricia, and survived Death-gaze and progressed through over 50 floors of pure torture to see people dance? These people are a nuisance and just try to get in the way as often as possible. You gotta give them credit though, their existence is placed in an underground cavern with no way out so they are making the best of their situation.
There are a few areas here to get though that are connected by warps. There is a chest around the North and to the East of the first area. then progress to the second area. There is two more chests at the South-East and North-East corners. The exit is found in the third area.
Fifth Floor Boss
Edit
The Boss location will change every time on this floor. Doesn't matter you can just walk around until you find it. Every Boss here is from Final Fantasy V which is easily one of the harder games in the series and the bosses here are no exception.
| Easy | Boss Battle: Gilgamesh |
|
HP: 8,888 Weakness: None It is the man himself, Presenting Gilgamesh. The man who single handedly saved the shocking plot of FFV from failure. He is a pretty easy boss compared to what is coming up. His HP is absolutely terrible and with nothing but physical attacks. These of course hurt so "Protera' is must and then it is easy sailing from then on in. Just dwindle down his hp slowly and he will be done before you know it. Salute the man as he fades away off the screen.
Tenth Floor Boss
Edit
Next up we have Atomos.
| Medium | Boss Battle: Typhon |
|
HP: 13,000 Weakness: None
"Wormhole" is painful and there really isn't anything you can do about it except "Full-Life" same with Typhon you should save before coming into this battle in case your White Wizard is hit by it. Now "NulBlaze" and "Protera will fix up this battle in your favor. Just hit him hard from here on in with whatever you have and he will go down soon.
Super Bosses
Edit
Here we go, Readers who are faint of heart should avert their eyes. This is the very best that this game can throw at you in terms of challenge and quite the challenge it is. This is the real thing and this is going to take all you got to win. On a good Note Omega is first he is slightly easier.
| Hard | Boss Battle: Omega |
|
HP: 35,000 Weakness: Lightning
"Wave Cannon" is absolute hell if unleashed on an unprepared team. If used twice you can also pretty much kiss your chances goodbye. "Earthquake" we have seen before but if it actually works it is so much more horrible than before. Everything that he has is just so much better than anything you have seen before. Luckily enough for you he actually has a weakness, "Thundaga" works really well on him so use that every single turn to actually inflict damage on the monster. "Healaga" is needed every single turn that you are not setting up defenses. You just gotta keep healthy no matter what and if it gets really really bad then get one of you physical attackers to start using all of your items to save you. If you win pat yourself on the back but don't get cocky it isn't over yet...
Well done, You managed to beat the second hardest Boss in the game but prepare for some real power.
| Hard | Boss Battle: Shinryu |
|
HP: 35,000 Weakness: None
Even with all this Shinryu is the hardest hitting Boss in the game. he has "Tidal Wave" "Thunderbolt" and "Icestorm" which will hurt you heaps even if you have all those barriers he will inflict serious damage. Don't worry this isn't the worst of it, He has "Flare" which can still manage to kill your guys even with those barriers. Whenever this happens your going to have to Elixir and Mega-Elixir to save yourself. If you ever get the rare chance to use it cast "Haste" or "Temper" to increase your attacking power. Any Tonics that you have you must use. There is nothing else in the game quite like this. Your Black Wizard should use "Flare" as he has been doing up until now. With an insane amount of luck and some well timed healing you can actually win this battle.
If you beat these to bosses you are the Man! Go out partying with friends get drunk and stay up until 5 in the morning to celebrate. This is without doubt one of the biggest achievements in your life*. Unfortunately we aren't quite done yet. Chaos has patiently been waiting for hours for you to come and battle him. Don't keep him waiting...
- If It is you really need to get out more....
