[edit] Caravan
Well this place is nice and short. Go into the only tent and buy the only item from the only shopkeeper. Its a Bottled Fairy - which is excellent so that now if we die the Fairy will come and revive us once. Oh shit, that's Zelda. Unfortunately the Fairy also costs 40,000 Gil which should really drain your wallet. If you don't have 40,000 Gil you're pretty much fucked. You're going to have to hang in the dungeons for a while until you've killed enough monsters to acquire the required sum.
Now that we have the Bottled Fairy (doesn't that sound like a gay bar?) lets fly back to Gaia. Don't worry this is the last time we're coming here. As soon as you enter the town, the Fairy will escape back to her pond. Bitch I paid good money for you, you'd better stay in your fucking bottle. You need to go all the way around that cobblestone path to the Northwestern corner of town. Then head East for a hike through the woods until you find the Fairy. She'll then graciously give us some Oxale. Oxale is a wonderful substance that allows you to breath underwater, but only in dungeons. For some odd reason we can't just walk on the ocean floor or anything. Perhaps its the pressure.
[edit] Waterfall Cave
Fly back to the desert where our Fairy friend had been kidnapped by the carnies. Now go South a bit and row row row your boat gentle up the stream until you find a waterfall. Along the way you'll spot a sleepy little village to the East, we're going there next. But first we have to visit my dear friend Senior Roboto.
Now I love this dungeon. Its a giant maze, but actually its the simplest dungeon we've visited yet. There are no bosses and no secret treasure rooms. And definitely no ice spikes or lava. I can simplify your path by saying just hug the bottom path. But since I must make this walkthrough as long and complete as humanly possible here are your directions. First go North until you see a fork. Head West and ignore the path South - its a deadend. Now just keep heading West past a five point fork, you should see that the Southern route is just a short dead end. Now you'll finally find yourself at the Westernmost edge of the dungeon. Head South down the winding road til you find our Holy Grail.
Its a Treasure Room inside is some really fun stuff: Wizard's Staff, a Ribbon, 13450 Gil, 6400 Gil, 5000 Gil, and a Defender. That Ribbon will protect you from every kind of Status Effect, equip it on White Mage she's the linch pin of our party. But the fun part of this dungeon is Senior Roboto who has long broken down and only speaks in gibberish. He'll hand over a Warp Cube. Totally useless at this stage, but we're going to need it if we ever want to snag the Crystal of Air.
[edit] Onrac
Row your boat down past the mountains and get off in the trees to the East. Now head North a bit to enter that village we saw earlier. Stay at the inn. The price is obscene, 300 Gil, but do you really want to risk a Game Over to trek back to your Airship? The Magic Shops have only one good spell: "Healaga". You should know what the root "Heal" means by now. Go to the Item Shop and stock up on supplies, we have a dungeon to crawl through. Now go outside for a bit and save.
Our new objective is to head to the Southeast corner of Onrac and talk to the two people hanging around a Barrel. The lady will reveal herself to be a Mermaid. Awesome, I've had a bit of a Mermaid fetish since I was three-years-old and watched the Little Mermaid (hey it could work, you just need some sexual imagination). She'll beg you to save the Mermaids then disappear forever. So jump in the Barrel which for some odd reason is actually a Submarine in disguise. Hey look a movie, we don't get too many of them in these early games. Now we have reached the resting place for the third Crystal.
[edit] Sunken Shrine
- Teacher: Class, this dungeon is underwater so what kind of monsters will we find?
- Class in unison: Water-based
- Teacher: and what are Water-based monsters weak against?
- Class: ............
- Teacher: Come on you little retards, this is easy.
- Jimmy: Ummm...umm...Fire?
- Teacher: Jimmy, what did I tell you about being stupid? Get the fuck out of my classroom, you don't deserve an education. No, its Thunder, you pathetic scraps of genetic misalignment. Enough of this exercise, let the walkthrough continue.
Gotcha Mr. BlueHighwind. Head North all the way to the main platform. Now head East then all the way South until you see a Treasure room in the corner. Inside there will be 2000 Gil. Now go all the way North and head West a bit until you see some stairs. Go up them.
Head South and ignore the Treasure Room, there's nothing inside. Head West then South a bit to find a large Treasure Room. Inside there's only 20 Gil, you can ignore this room as well. Head North and then West. Now go all the way Northeast until you find a room containing the Diamond Armor. DUN DUN DUN!!! This is by far the best bit of treasure this dungeon has to offer. Now go all the way South, inside the next room there's a Light Axe. Go East to the fork. Head up the North path to find yet another Treasure Room. Within the walls of this room there is a Mage's Staff. Now go all the East then South to find some stairs and yet another Treasure Room. This one contains 12350 Gil - that'll help ya recover the losses you took after buying that Fairy. Now go up the stairs.
