Vulture (ヴァルチャー, Varuchā?), also known as Northern Vulture, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy VI[]
Vultures appear as an enemy in the forests and plains around Kohlingen. They can use the ability Shamshir to halve the HP of a party member. They can appear alone or alongside an Iron Fist.
Final Fantasy XI[]

Vultures appear as avion/diver-type enemy in the Mosphoran Highwaste. As they are flying enemies, they can only be hit with ranged weapons, magick, or by using Telekinesis. It is also fought at stage 20 of Trial Mode in the International Zodiac Job System version.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
The Northern Vulture (just "Vulture" in japanese) can be encountered as a regular enemy in the East Shroud, as well as spawning during Stand-in Sentry and Carrion Baggage. A separate Northern Vulture (ノーザン・ヴァルチャー, Nōzan Varuchā?) can be encountered during Migrant Marauders.
Beyond the Northern Vulture, vultures comprise one of the largest enemy families in Final Fantasy XIV. Also commonly known as buzzards, bateleurs, or falcons, they are ubiquitous across Eorzea and beyond, being frequently encountered as regular enemies and in dungeons.

Etymology[]
Vulture are large birds of prey that usually feed on carrion (dead or dying animals and rocks). Vultures use their large wings to soar in the air for many miles without having to flap. Vultures are also called buzzards.
