Vacuum Wave (真空波, Shinkūha?), also known as VacWave, Razor Gale or Air Blade, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It manifests as a shockwave of wind, and is a high-powered magical attack.
Razor Gale was initially called Air Blade in the older translations, is part of the Blitz command usable by Sabin. It deals wind-elemental damage and all enemies with a spell power of 78, it also ignores split damage. Sabin learns it at level 30.
Razor Gale is one of Odin's abilities in Gestalt Mode. It deals both physical and magical damage to the target enemy.
Halves an enemy's HP.
Vacuum Wave is an ability learned by the Monk at Job Level 15. It cuts an enemy's HP in half. Vacuum Wave costs 18 MP to use and 370 AP to learn.
Vacuum Wave is a Brave Attack for Exdeath that fires a blast of wind at the opponent. The blast can bounce off some obstacles and begins a Chase Sequence, and can be used twice in succession as one of Exdeath's counterattacks. Exdeath knows the ground version of Vacuum Wave initially and learns the aerial variant at Level 24. It costs 30 CP to equip and 180 AP to master.
Vacuum Wave returns as a Bravery attack for Exdeath. He now learns the ground version at Level 2 and the aerial variant at Level 3, and it takes 120 AP to master.
Lightning has Razor Gale as an HP attack. It sends a circular blade of wind forward with weak tracking. Lightning knows Razor Gale initially, it takes 300 AP to master and costs 30 CP to equip.
Dissidia Final Fantasy (2015)Edit
Razor Gale is the second HP Attack learned by Lightning, learned at level 2. It functions almost identically to the PSP incarnation, but now functions more as a homing projectile.
