Battle[]

First encounter[]

Guess we'll have to talk about this later!

Snow

Snow and Hope fight the Ushumgal Subjugator on the apartment rooftops. The boss remains in an aerial state throughout the battle, mainly attacking with the Fire-based Napalm.

Strategy[]

Hope's Barfire can neutralize Napalm, so starting the battle with Libra can speed up the process. Snow can alternate between Commando and Ravager roles, while Hope focuses on being a Ravager after buffing. Potions can still be used effectively for healing, especially if Snow has a Doctor's Code equipped, otherwise Hope's Medic role will suffice. Setting up duplicate paradigms allows for seamless ATB refreshing.

Second encounter[]

Always the hero. You want to die? You can't! I won't let you!

Hope

Hope begins the battle alone, but after his HP is reduced below 2%, or he brings the Subjugator to 99% of its max HP, Lightning and Fang join the party and the proper battle begins. Fang becomes the party leader, and the Subjugator's HP will carry over. Since the fight restarts, Hope's buffs will not carry over, rendering shroud use pointless. At this point, retrying to change setups is possible.

The Subjugator attacks party members with Laser Rain, and can target a single party member with Pinpoint Beam. When its HP drops below 40%, the number of attacks from these will double. Eventually after targeting, it will unleash Photon Blaster to deal damage in a line.

Strategy[]

It is imperative that Hope casts Protect on the party, and Fang uses Slow on the Subjugator. When the boss starts to use Targeting for its Pinpoint Beam and subsequent Photon Blaster, Fang can shift to a Sentinel. Once the attack is over, and everyone is healed, the party can return to Relentless Assault to stagger the boss.

Etymology[]

Among the earliest written documents from Mesopotamia are records of land sales or grants, often carved in stone with associated images, perhaps for public display. The Sumerian inscription on the Stele of Ushumgal records a transaction involving three fields, three houses, and some livestock. Ushumgal, a priest of the god Shara, and his daughter, are the central figures of the transaction, but because of the archaic script it is not clear whether Ushumgal is buying, selling, or granting these properties.

In foreign translations, Ushumgal is written as Ushmugal.
