TALK - Summoner of Nyan 02:23, December 5, 2013 (UTC)

Hello, fair stranger.

  • Consistency is nice. Don't keep switching between text/signature and talk bubbles.
  • Talk page archives are just that, archived, and shouldn't be edited.

If the matter requires a quick response, feel free to email me or try the IRC channel; if I am online, I'll be able to help you. Ping me by using "Tia-Lew" in your post. But if the matter is something any mod or admin can deal with, not just me, use the Staff Noticeboard.

Featured Article MessagesEdit

Main TalkEdit

Hi, this is regarding the post you wrote at "http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Queazy". 1) Thank you for the warm welcome. 2) So marking the type of images I posted as "generic fair use" is good enough for licensing, right? 3) I thought I did mark them as generic fair use, did I not? 4) I don't care if they get deleted if there are better looking icons uploaded to this wiki, all I care about is that visitors to this wiki get the information they need. If my images get deleted, could the better looking replacements be put in that page first, so visitors to this wiki can see what the status icons look like? Thank you. Queazy (talk) 11:20, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Congrats for the promotion! Continue helping our comunnity as you always did. JC Holy Knight (talk) 01:28, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

I know I'm really really late to the party with this, thanks to my severely reduced wiki presence until very recently, but I wanted to throw my congrats in on your promotion anyway :P -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 19:13, March 14, 2014 (UTC)

Eh, not everyone notices this stuff. Hell, even Cat didn't realise for a week afterwards. Cheers! Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 19:20, March 14, 2014 (UTC)

This guy...Edit

Like, I don't mean to harass someone from the back but, how come this 'contributor' just added a few categories to Hope Estheim, but suddenly changed the whole page to a single word??(see here).

What I probably would guess(not really), not really sure what 'action' is to be taken on the 'individual', but come on? That was clearly a prank!MarrylLuna(Zahasuki Harikuni) (talk) 10:30, January 25, 2014 (UTC)

a) Unless it's serious, we don't ban on the first offence, and we stopped giving out generic warnings ages ago, so the correct course of action is to just revert and ignore.
b) The correct term for that kind of person is 'idiot'
-- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 10:44, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
He didn't add a few categories. In Oasis cats are handled in a separate box. Ergo, he replaced the page a word, but the cats remained. 86.157.190.28 12:58, January 25, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up, Marryl, though I was unavailable yesterday due to my work schedule. If you ever see anything like this, revert the edit and if they resume editing in a way that could be seen as vandalism, please let an admin know on the Staff Noticeboard, and it will get sorted. Got'cha, at first, I thought that dude just made a fake page or somethin'. This sort of thing just kinda freaked me out sometimes.MarrylLuna(Zahasuki Harikuni) (talk) 04:11, January 28, 2014 (UTC)

Ronso Rage page reordering Edit

I don't know how to respond directly to your message concerning the Ronso Rage page, but...

Do you think we should we re-order them back? Because frankly, I think that if we do, we should put something in the table that says in what place they can be obtained. Makes it easier for people currently playing the game to get help from the wiki.DenimMage (talk) 21:53, January 29, 2014 (UTC)

This is the right place to do so if you're concerned. No no, don't undo all your hard work. I had a quick search and I can't find a full ingame list to use as reference, so for now it's all fine, but it may get changed if someone can provide said list. But again, thanks a lot :) Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 21:56, January 29, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Edit

Do you know who developed the AI template? I'd like to thank them. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 00:16, January 30, 2014 (UTC)

The newer, grey background AI, I believe was made by Jeppo, but as for the original, I'm not entirely sure. I'll just ask on the IRC now and see if anyone knows. EDIT- I've been told Jeppo is likely the one who developed it from the start. He's still an active user, go and say thanks :) Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 00:19, January 30, 2014 (UTC)

JUNONL3Edit

"JUNONL3 - Warps the player to an area not usually accessed in gameplay. Despite being in Upper Junon, opening the menu will display the location as "Lower Junon.""

The area is in Lower Junon, and can be accessed normally. There are three areas of Junon, Upper Junon, Lower Junon, and Under Junon.

Under Junon is obvious, but Junon is on two levels. Which makes sense since Junon is very vertical. 92.24.164.7 17:54, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

Ah yes, I remember now. Thanks JBed, I'll get back to editing soon. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 17:59, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

FFII Unused MusicEdit

It appears that the "unused music in FFII" is a real deal as there are vids of those tracks on the YT: Shop Theme, Airship Theme, Battle Scene 3, and Dungeon Theme (reused in FINAL FANTASY VI as "The Magic House").—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 18:19, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

Re: That thing I'm doing to try and fix some of the Dimensions pages Edit

I'm trying to write articles for the Four Generals and Divine Generals, any ideas/recommendations as to formatting and such? I'm in the middle of a lot of things, so my ability to properly write up an article is somewhat diminished. 6_9 Lord Grammaticus (talk) 00:32, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Well I'm not very knowledgeable on Dimensions whatsoever, but I think the best thing to do is look at some other articles for reference, then look at the MoS which will probably tell you the best way to lay it out depending on what information you have that is relevant to your articles. Sorry I can't be much more help than this. It's also late and I should be in bed :P good work though and do keep it up! Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 00:38, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Say Edit

How'd you code your signature? Lord Grammaticus (talk) 22:44, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, it's a lot simpler than it looks. Jimcloud taught me not long after I started here. I just put the coding I wanted- font colour, links etc. - into User:Tia-Lewise/Sig (You make your own, with your username in it), then typed {{User:Tia-Lewise/Sig}} into User:Tia-Lewise/Sig2 (again, modify this to have your username rather than mine). Then went into my preferences, and in the signature box I wrote {{SUBST:User:Tia-Lewise/Sig}} making sure the "I want to use wikitext in my signature" box is checked. Then after that, writing in the usual four tildes will subst' your signature and bring up your fancy modifications.
If that's made you foam at the mouth I'll gladly do it for you if you tell me what you want your sig to look like. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 22:54, February 7, 2014 (UTC)
Nah, seems simple enough, though I'll keep that in mind. :3 Just needed to know where to stick it all. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 23:18, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Final Fantasy II unused tracks evidenceEdit

So, I found proof about these unused tracks, you mind if you help me source it? I don't know how to do so. I think I have to link it on superscript.. is it?

http://www.rpgfan.com/soundtracks/ff1&2/index.html

...the battle theme 3 is nice isn't it? It is in the only copy in the world of the beta FFII, the theme was inside and is likely to be for the Emperor battle, but the Emperor was inaccessible at that time. :( They shouldn't have rushed things. Final Fantasy II had more potential than 6 and 7 combined...

Those are not minecraft images. I used a rendering program to render the image made in minecraft. In the same fashion someone might use photoshop to create an overhead of a town, I used Minecraft to re-create a 3D representation of the town. Still art in the same vain, but different. How is this fair? It's not even a screenshot.

I understand the logo and name bit. Were I to remove that from the image, would you still allow it? Also, I noticed you removed the ingame render for Baron and the Ancient Waterways from the Gallery of Baron. Is that because I had put my name on it? I can reupload a new version without my name/logo etc.

Hi, I recently uploaded another map to http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient_Waterway and I was wondering if it was copacetic with the guidelines? Also, do you think it is best to omit the map at the top left, replace it with the FFIV logo, or make the image wide by moving the top-right area to the right of the bottom right area and cropping out the top? I tried that but it seemed rather wide and I want to keep the resolution as tame as possible. If you have any suggestions about the format I would like to hear them. I plan on doing this for most prominent locations in FFIV because nobody has mapped out the game very well from the PSP iteration. Thank you for your time. Pot Shard and redirects Edit

Hello, I'm still not fully aware of how things work on FF wiki but I was wondering about a redirect for the Pot Shard item. Trying to go to the Pot Shard page redirects to the List of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Items when it is also an item dropped by Cait Sith in Final Fantasy XIII-2. Should there be a disambig or how would that work on this wiki? Great Mara (talk) 08:22, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

Disambig. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 09:50, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
Yep, in this case it would be a disambig as they share a name. I'll look at this now and make the necessary changes if need be. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 10:21, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I see. Thanks for that. Now I have an idea what to refer to if I run across it again. Great Mara (talk) 03:20, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Pretty sure Chac qualifies as a superboss. Karifean (talk) 17:20, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

How so? Paragon possibly, and Trema certainly, but I wouldn't put down anything else in the Via Infinito as a superboss. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 17:21, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Chac is FAR stronger than the game's final boss and, arguably, the hardest boss in original FFX-2. At least some people would argue that, myself included. She has the second-highest HP value in the game and her Heaven's Cataract is one of the absolute strongest enemy attacks in the game. I could go on and argue about how she's harder than other bosses, but that's not the point. She may not be at the bottom of the dungeon, but more than deserving of a spot as superboss. Karifean (talk) 17:29, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Chac Edit

There are an awful lot of "in Oversoul" and "not in Oversoul" phrases in the Chac#Strategy section. How about we leave strategies for normal under the Strategy heading and put Oversoul-specific strategies in an Oversoul subsection beneath? VvAnarchangelvV (talk) 18:46, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Wait! Don't reply, or you'll break your perfect record of 8,888 edits :) VvAnarchangelvV (talk) 18:50, March 17, 2014 (UTC)
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER. I think we established a little while back that we wouldn't have massive strategy sections with a million and one ways to defeat it; if it can be condensed down I don't see any issue with this. Couldn't be much worse than this, right? Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 18:57, March 17, 2014 (UTC)

Gaming FooterEdit

Hello! I'm Santi. I was checking which wikis use the Wikia Gaming Footer to add them to the list, and I noticed your wiki doesn't appear there. Maybe it's because your footer is outdated and has just some wikis, but that's not a problem now because I created a sub-template that includes just the list of wikis (w:Wikia Gaming Footer/List of Wikis) without the box. This way, your wiki can have an updated footer with the design style of the other sections of the main page. If the wiki likes the idea, send me a message and I'll add you to the Gaming Footer (or do it yourself). This is just to let you know. Goodbye! — Santiago González Martín (talk) 21:46, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Seymour Guado's WeaponEdit

Hi, Tia-Lewise

Seymour's weapon - hide

I found a video where the player uses codes to unlock Seymour. In one of the videos, the player reveals the properties of Seymour's weapon. Before adding this image to the corresponding page, I need to know if it is reliable, because the weapon has sensor, which in the fight against Sinspawn Gui, confirming that this weapon has sensor. But I don't know much about the other elements: Magic +5% and +3%.

Should I or should not add this to Seymour's page?. If it is not, please delete the image to avoid problems. Thank you.

Noctis Lux Kaelum (talk) 16:02, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Noctis, thanks for showing this to me. I think maybe this is something that might be accessible in the game's debug room; we don't currently have an article for it but I'm sure there is information online that might tell us. Until we can confirm it we shouldn't add anything to the mainspace, but I'll certainly look into this; leave the image with me! If I find anything in the next few days I will let you know. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 00:29, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

"Do as I say, not as I do" Edit

Just a thought: if you're going to accuse others of being rude, then would you mind not jumping down people's throats for failing to add a license to a screenshot and whatnot? I mean, it really doesn't help new users feel welcome when you post tl;dr stuff over something incredibly trivial. It doesn't exactly encourage new contributions. I know you'll probably dismiss this since you're an admin and I'm just some user, but I thought I'd say something since no one else will. Oh, and thanks for referring to me as just some "bot". That's incredibly encouraging and thoughtful to referto people who are actually trying to fix content like that. --Shockstorm 23:04, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

I admit I've been a bit too harsh with the licensing and categorising stuff before. I've done my best to calm down with it now regarding the way I speak to users. However, it is policy, and not a trivial matter, (because failing to license results in us breaking Fair Use and thus Copyright), to add licenses and categories every time an image is uploaded, and, as it can be in real life situations, having to tell one person over and over who does not seem to be listening can be frustrating, and it really isn't fair for someone else to tidy up after another when there are clear instructions on the Upload page. In the case of a new user, I hope you'll find I'm much nicer about it now; I have acknowledged the fact I have a bit of a temper sometimes.
Which brings me to the current situation. Your words make you the second user to have hit out at Techno over these new changes without maybe having a neutral-toned discussion with him first to bring yourself up to speed. And frankly I'm tired of it already. The majority of us think he's doing a good job and he works well with other users with regard to speaking to others before any action is taken. I'd hoped maybe you could have done the same before saying he couldn't be bothered to check WhatLinksHere when quite simply, it probably didn't cross any of our minds when we were working. We have all been working on this. We're all to blame one way or another.
I'd be flattered to be called a bot. But considering I often do the same work as you, am I also a bot? Maybe? I don't like to bother Drake and Cat, who operate our wiki bots, so I do their work for them. As do you. Yes, I did mean it as a dig but I'm starting to calm down now.
With regard to you taking offence at a few harsh words, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you wish to know more in real time about what's going on, we usually discuss this over at the IRC these days. Feel free to jump on anytime. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 23:21, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

1) If a new user uploads 1 image and you make a huge post telling them why they're messing up and OMG it's such a huge deal that they didn't license and categorize, etc, then yeah, that is pretty trivial, not to mention incredibly unproductive. Which is what you have done, multiple times. 2) You mainly act as the chief arbiter of what is considered a "Good Article". I don't really see you fixing links, categorizing stuff, adding content, etc. I do however see you messing a lot with minor things (like the other day when you removed some info, and Kelt had to restore it because it was correct and she had actually played the game and all). And no, I didn't take offence, and it would be hilarious if I did considering that I'm not exactly the most polite person. I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy and having a little fun while doing so, that's all. Oh, and I do sometimes go on the IRC. Although I expect I'm not missing out on too much. --Shockstorm 07:01, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Hey. I'm just gonna throw my 2 cents on the matter. This is because the argument basically was my doing anyway.

Firstly, I'll warn you that you've opened yourself up to personal attacks since you began by making one. This was wrong in the first place for several reasons; checking Ad hominem and Project:No personal attacks basically explain in depth why it's unsuited for this environment and counterproductive. On a more personal level, you opened up the opportunity for us to aim one at you.

So secondly, Tia's point about you basically being a bot was more valid than either of your points. Your first jab at me was irrelevant because as stated, it took an admin to delete the page, and you could have easily sorted the issue yourself. Your job at Tia missed the point entirely, as you claim that since she told people off about images before, then she is suddenly on the same level as you. However, your jab at me is completely different as yours was not trying to resolve any policy or fix anything, as I demonstrated, it does the opposite. Secondly, whether or not it feels 'unwelcoming' is irrelevant as firstly I'd be more welcomed if someone actually noticed I did something, and furthermore if someone new was turned ofd by a policy, they likely weren't a good contributor.

Oh, you are also under some impression that the user rights have any impact on the validity of someone's response. Tia is an admin, true. That means that, what separates you other than a title? 4 buttons. Protect, ban, delete, promote. In fact, if we're going with that, and how many more buttons affects the validity of their opinion, then I clearly win as I can edit pages you can't, right? Your point is irrelevant.

Finally, she never discouraged your edit patterns. I think she's addressed this fully. But her point was basically that, finding stuff to fix is nice, but you chose to fix it, just as you could have chosen to report to a bot owner. Me choosing to make a metatemplate? Sure, my choice, but it involves a hell of a lot more to it. Involving other people's points of view, bug fixes, collaboration, etc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is your argument was wrong from the beginning and you clearly lack any moral high ground. My advice? Don't try to stir arguments and then claim you're pro - productivity. --FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 23:44, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you decided to write all that or why you're concerned about this. Obviously I don't care about personal attacks, lol. I can take it, I've said as much, and this certainly isn't the first time I've yelled at people here. I don't care about user rights at all, but based on what's she said in the past I'd say she does. Your ability to rapidly construct strawmen and knock them down is quite amazing, I'll give you that though. Anyways, you brought it upon yourself to mess with the templates, so it stands to reason that it's your job to fix them. Plus I didn't know how all the XI enemies should be arranged and such, and I didn't want to make a mess of the template. And finally, what's this about my "argument"? I didn't make one, I just was pointing out some dumb things that you did.

It's always fun to see people who have barely edited previously suddenly declare themselves experts on all matters related to our wiki, and then claim that they're 100% right. My advice to you would be to buzz off and admit that you're acting like an arrogant, tone-deaf putzhead. --Shockstorm 07:01, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Congratulations on missig the point. It's not that you shouldn't care about personal attacks. You shouldn't be making them and then claiming you are for productivity. Your attitude implies that you are the arrogant one, anyway.

Barely edited previously? LMFAO, I'm sorry but what? We've just told you that you barely edit yourself, merely doing jobs a bot could. I have been editing wikis for 7 years, been an admin on 4, and am the primary template designer on one. So what's your point? Now edit counts determine the validity of your response? Seriously...

Make a mess of the template? What? Removing "enemies" is making a mess? Come on, as a bot, you should know that's not the case. And no, I won't buzz off. Because you're the one attacking me, amd Tia. I actually find your attitude kinda hilarious. Oh if you want me to point out dumb things you did, I guarantee that they would outnumber mine and that unlike mine would be pinned entirely on you.

Why I'm concerned? Why do you think? Shall I spell it out for you? You are attacking me and my friend and I have a right to defend myself. Also your arguments are hilarious and childlike and I thought it'd be fun to run them to the ground.

You're a damn good troll, I'll give you that, because I just replied to you. A damn good troll. Also a spoilt kid whl doesn't lkke when things don't go his way. I guess I'll finish with a fuck ypu very much, and have a nice day, since you're resorting to pettiness I think stooping to your level is appropriate. --FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 12:49, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry Edit

Maybe it's old news, but I just wanted to let you know that my crazy rantings on your talk page and the thread weren't really justified or necessary, and it's not something I'm proud of. To be honest I am a bit of a hypocrite, and I didn't read any of the messages anyone posted afterwards (and I probably won't read/post anything after this one either). So if you guys were talking about banning me or something (idk lol) I didn't see it. I just felt like I should say something since what I said was pretty over the top and hurtful (well, that's how I would see it if I were told those things. You might have thicker skin than me). I have a tendency to take one little thing and turn it into a big shtstorm. Pretty immature of me. Oh, and you can show this to Techno, since this applies to them as well. --Shockstorm 03:34, April 29, 2014 (UTC)

It's good of you to now see everything from another side, and apology accepted. I'll extend my own apologies for being a sarcastic bitch. Let's sweep this away now and start afresh. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 16:48, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
Hey dude, don't worry at all. I don't really get mad at people or hold grudges that much, or rather, I try not too :P so don't worry about it. We're all human, none of us are perfect. I also didn't get mad at anything you said either, the only thing that annoyed me was an insistence on bashing other people as opposed to being helpful. Clearly this is no longer an issue.
I'll repeat what I said to you the first time we spoke: you're a damn good editor in the sense that you have the patience to make tons of fixes without really getting worn out. The whole getting mad at people stuff is just a natural human reaction to natural human behaviour. As such, it doesn't bother me, especially now that you've apologised.
tl;dr - Apology accepted, I wasn't all that bothered in the first place either. And yeah, as Tia said, let's pretend nothing happened ^^--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 16:57, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

It works a bit differently: you get pods for winning any given BATTLE in a tournament, not for winning the tournaments themselves. The info about getting pods after any battle is written in the "Tournament Cups" part. Karifean (talk) 01:47, May 3, 2014 (UTC)

By the way, I wanna ask you if I can create an page called Gallery:Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles or anything like, and put all the images there sorting by subsections (Artwork, Concepts, Screenshots, In-Game renders, etc.). It's an idea for all the wiki. I also took a look into the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the gallery section looks a mess. Well, I aprecciate you by giving me welcome. Thanks. :) AnEoTselkie (talk) 18:49, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

I got it. But I propose to create a gallery of images like this one. Looks a lot better. Also there is lacking a lot of images from the original FFCC.

P.S When do I become autoconfirmed? I can't upload files right now, and I managed to got a image of Sun and Bloom from LRFF13. AnEoTselkie (talk)

Theatrhythm PollEdit

I created a character poll on my page. If you're interested, then check it out, and let other users know about it. I've organised it based on Crystal Shard unlockables from the upcoming Curtain Call. I look forward to the results. Vapor Rub (talk) 15:05, May 29, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, but advertising on people's talk pages probably isn't the best way to go about keeping people in a pleasant mood. Nevertheless, I'll probably take a look. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 18:42, May 30, 2014 (UTC)

It's not that bad. I'm moving in with my other half, so at least I'm in a familiar area. Still, after 14 years in this town, to be moving to the city is going to be odd. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:14, June 2, 2014 (UTC)

Tetsuya Takahashi Edit

Hello. I saw your post on my talk page thanking me for creating the Tetsuya Takahashi page. However, for some reason I got banned. As a result, I think I'm just going to start editing this Wiki using different proxies where nobody will know who I am.

Anyway, I had this photo of Tetsuya Takahashi that I wanted to add to his page as a profile image, but seeing as I'm now banned, I can't add photos. I feel all my positive contributions have been ignored. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you could add that photo in my place. Thanks. 193.109.196.226 02:24, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

Your edits on that article were, at first, decent, but then I noticed your other edits and it clicked who you are. Stating you will use a proxy will also get you banned. Please stop lying, we all know you are SQEX/ActiveTimeBattle. Your edits are far too predictable for you to make any excuses. We have methods of detecting proxies and linking them to previous accounts and location and I am the one who requested this was used on you so really, your efforts are null. So please stop coming back time after time, it doesn't matter if your edits are good, you were originally banned for ban skipping and you'll continue to be banned for it. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 10:40, June 29, 2014 (UTC)
So... Are you going to add the Tetsuya Takahashi photo to the page or not? I take it you're not going to, so I'm just going to blank all my contributions to the page. I'm not going to leave my contribution incomplete. 193.109.196.224 20:44, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

When deleting imagesEdit

When you delete images could you check if the file is used on any pages before you delete it? This image is used on a protected page. 88.107.148.59 16:52, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

Apologies, I mustn't have been paying much attention. If that's the case though, surely we shouldn't put images up for deletion until we have ourselves either made sure nothing links to it, or else replaced the image with something else? EDIT- In any case, I've just replaced the image with an existing one to make up for the mistake. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:13, July 3, 2014 (UTC)
Well, yes. Things in the speedily deletion category should be assessed before being deleted. This is why reasons are placed and duplicates are specified. Otherwise anyone can add anything to that category and it will surely be deleted.
This process is simple with Dup templates as the image up for deletion has a replacement. An admin can decide whether the two images serve the same function, and if yes then which is better. They then delete the one that is not as good at serving the purpose. Before deleting the image they need to make sure that the file is not used anywhere.
The person putting the file up for deletion should also do this, however some people forget or do not think about it. Or in this case, could not change it due to a protected page. So I put it up for deletion knowing that an admin, one who can access the page, was ensured to see the file before it was deleted.
The admin makes the final decision so it is important that everything checks out, no page should use the file. Of course, it's not the end of the world if the admin forgets, however things are easier for people to fix while the file and its delete notice are still visible to everyone. JBed (talk) 20:36, July 3, 2014 (UTC)
I guess I didn't think too hard because it was a protected page that was closed and wasn't going to be accessed any more. Bad judgement on my part. Anyway, I've replaced it, no harm done I hope. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:39, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

Mysidia Edit

FFIV iOS Mysidia

I found this in Mysidia FFIV's gallery. Yea, you are right, the main Mysidia page is quite missing some images..but hold up - a shot of Mysidia in the complete collection is there on the section for FFIV. Is that insufficient? If so, I could add this ^ shot. I'm pretty sure the rest of the FFIV locations images are uploaded..s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 17:02, July 9, 2014 (UTC)

If they are all uploaded, they should have all been placed on articles, surely. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 12:22, July 11, 2014 (UTC)
You probably didn't see them because they're hidden away in the page's gallery. Mysidia (FFIV)'s gallery does have quite a lot of images there. I just noticed that most of the FFIV locations articles have the original SNES version shots in the sections, then the rest blah blah packed away in the gallery. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 17:32, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

IV DS Statuses Edit

I wanna expand the FFIV DS Status page - it says "add status description". I know this sounds dumb, but what exactly does that mean? We just describe what each status does? But isn't that info already on the main pages of the statuses? Halp. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 13:06, July 21, 2014 (UTC)

It makes sense to include the info on multiple articles where the status is mentioned, I guess, so people don't have to keep flicking back and forth to different pages. I believe it means add a description, yes, and if it's already present elsewhere, just copy the information from the main pages, maybe shorten it a bit if necessary. Hey there Edit

I can't tell if that was the default automated message or if that was a legit welcome, but I'm just going to say thanks anyway. I have a question regarding message bubbles, are we supposed to use those instead of signatures? I've seen quite a few of both, so I'm guessing I can use both. I'll just ask to clarify, lol. -- ««FusionSoldier»»   •Talk•   °Contribs°

Oh, we don't have an automated welcome message here :) I left it for you myself. You may choose to use signatures and/or talk bubbles, whichever you want :) some users prefer one or the other to be used on their talk pages though so it's worth checking to see if they specify this somewhere. Personally I'm open to both as long as it's kept consistent within a section and doesn't jump between text and talk bubbles. I use bubbles if I'm on a forum thread that has lots of them already used for the sake of consistency, but most of the time I will use my regular signature that you see now. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 13:06, August 9, 2014 (UTC)

Ah, okay. Thanks for the message! Are we supposed to reply to users on our own talk page, or is that just something admins do? -- ««FusionSoldier»»   •Talk•   °Contribs°

you can reply to users wherever, we don't really have a policy about that. By convention it's done on one's own talk page but nobody actually cares C A T U S E 16:16, August 9, 2014 (UTC)

About OzmaEdit

I know you're an admin but when is the Ozma article ever going to be shortened ma'am. People are going to keep adding strategies cause everyone's always coming out with new ideas to try to beat that big pastel ball of hatred. As far as I could research I posted the only strategy on the page right now that can beat one of the most hardest unfair bosses in FF in a single round. I got the idea to look for that strategy when I saw a FF9 speedrun to raise money for Cancer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEWBHLSg8BY.

I saw how they chewed through all the bosses from the Silver Dragon all the way to Necron with Charge!. So I decided to look for a video if someone used Charge! to actually beat Ozma to show that it could work in practice. I was like wow I had no idea you could actually beat the guy reliably like Dual weild + Master Scroll style in FF6 style in one round.

I had to at least make it known that it was possible to give the community an outlet for their frustration of Ozma, and make the battle more accessible. Now I fear all that work and research I went into writing will just be pushed aside and put under "maybe after something that's not likely going to happen". Though I wish I could have given more credit to those guys who raised all that money for cancer playing the first FF I got to as a kid, for letting me find this out and put it together for everyone to use. Thank you for your time.

I wasn't even going to respond to this, but once I realised you were trying to guilt trip me into re-adding your strategy...um, no. Just no. Don't even go there. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 10:40, August 29, 2014 (UTC)

MaesterEdit

Hey :) Sorry about the mess up on the Maester page! Does anyone know for sure how Maesters become Maesters? As on (I think) the Seymour page under trivia it says that the portraits in the Guadosalam Mansion are of Jyscal and Seymour's paternal grandfather, implying that perhaps Guado leaders inherit their position. Of course its just as likely that info is wrong. Maybe the human Maesters have to be promoted through action? Is there any mention anywhere how Kelk becomes Maester or is it just that he's the oldest Ronso as he is also the Elder. AdeusValcross (talk) 12:25, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, no problem :) it happens, and sorry if I sounded a bit blunt, there's only so much you can fit into the summary box! I imagine the leaders of the Guado inherit the position yes, but Jyscal was the first Guado maester so there's a difference there. I don't ever recall seeing anything about Kelk and how he became Maester, but being elder of the Ronso is a good enough guess, I would imagine. That's what I wonder, since a lot of what we have already (i.e. FFI, II, III, and IV items) only have one appearance. Maybe we should bring this up to others to see what they have to say about it, because it's something to discuss...
