A Tasty Excursion to the PastEdit

I'm easily irritable whenever I see what I view as careless mistakes. Proper capitalization within ability names is a must. ._.

Grimoire of the Rift job articles are easily perhaps the most neglected pages on this wiki, which is why I've dedicated a sizable amount of edits to that single topic.

I'm even stunned that I have the time to edit these articles due to, well, life.

And as for the name itself...

Collectively, I created quite a few usernames I could change to, including Anonymous Suspicious Suspect (solely for the initials), Prophet Tenebrae, and, of course, Necrosanity. Anonymous Suspicious Suspect was conquered up a few weeks after the name change, and Prophet Tenebrae didn't really appeal to me, so I resolved to change my name to Necrosanity. And I'm in no position to erase all my previous edits (and glory) on either wikis to go back to Unsane.

... To answer your question, the name change was initiated approximately 01:34, November 27, 2012.

Okay, I'm done. I think your friend needs to decide whether she wants to say FFIV or IV or Final Fantasy IV, because she keeps dithering between the three. Guiness is spelt Guinness, with two N's, and it should really be The Guinness Book of Records. It should be more formal; make 'would've' 'would have' and so forth. 'so much FF games were released' needs to be 'so many.'

Dear Tia,

As for Aerith's page, I strongly disagree with you. I think using "combat abilities" is not accurate. Please, read this with an open mind. "Her combat abilities are limited" is far too vague, and quite wrong actually.

1.As every other party member, she has 4 limit breaks.

2.She has a "normal" stat growth despite leaving after disc 1, and will have her strenghs and weaknesses just like any other character (see http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/197341-final-fantasy-vii/faqs/45703 for proof).

3.If you decide to compare her solely on disc 1, then she is just as viable as any other character. She even gets the edge seeing as she is by far the most competent with magic, and magic tends to deal more damage than physical attacks in FFVII, but this is debatable.

4.If you decide to compare her overall, then assuming that she would be usable during the whole game, then again, the statement above applies, especially since magic gets more and more powerful as the game goes on.(But other characters compensate by having damage-dealing limit breaks)

Therefore, her combat abilities are not limited, the character itself isn't usable after disc 1, but through this disc, she is as good as anyone else, and for some reason she was programmed to keep up if she was to be around longer. I don't know if you played FFIX, but by definition Aerith has no limitations unlike, for example, Beatrix who couldn't enter trance and couldn't use any support abilites.

She could have had just 1 limit break, or her stats could have maxed out earlier( like Tellah's MP in FFIV for example), but they don't, do they? Do you see my point? The term "limitation" or "limited" associated with "combat abilities" is not good since she doesn't have any, unlike other past Final Fantasy characters as mentionned earlier.

However, she DOES have less powerful weapons than the other party members, and no matter how you see it, she won't ever be able to get stronger weapons than the princess guard, hence my initial edit.

I hope I didn't bore you to death with my long comment, and that you'll see my point and edit this section.

Me and JBed often disagree on stuff, don't worry about that, we still get on okay. Rule one of talking to Drake is be precise about what you're asking, he does sometimes have issues with temperament but he is one of our most valued contributors, holding the highest editcount at over 60,000, and being a moderator to boot. I suppose I'm quite protective of the wiki, and I do apologise for my rudeness of late, I am in no way trying to scare you off. We all differ in our opinons of what constitutes a decent edit, and I am just one user, and a regular one at that, pay me no mind half the time!

		It's still not significant enough to warrant its own article. An alernative is to create a Locations section in Baron Castle, where you could include Cecil's room and explain the events that take place there. You know how to do a Locations section? If not, look at, say, Lindblum for reference.

		No, the gallery always stays at the bottom of the article. Anchor the image for the location either to the left or right, I prefer the left. But don't make the section unless you plan to complete it, just having Cecil's room in there would look messy. Like I said, look at some location articles for reference.

		No, you're bringing up valid points and it's great you're doing so, not enough of our articles have Location sections where needed. Yes, add in the infirmaries if you feel the need to (I'm in Chester on Wednesday so I can give your efforts a look at) but if you feel you don't have the time to do a load of Location sections, stamp articles which need it with the {{Expand}} template and someone will come along and do it, probably me or JBed, since it's our pet hate xD thanks for all your recent work, it hasn't gone unnoticed.

Sortable tables Edit

Hi, and thanks for your message. Let me explain why I think that sortable tables are useful. In my edit to Spellblade_(Final_Fantasy_V), I added a "spell type" (support/debuff/attack) in the "effect" column (an extra column would have been impractical). By sorting according to "effect", the reader could easily see the (IMHO) very useful support & debuff effect near each other, and the (IMHO) almost useless attack effects in a separate part of the table. --Abacos (talk) 09:54, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

About the Image LicensingEdit

Um! I understand about that matter. But some users have been talking about that page Shiva (Blood of Bahamut) page for it's not being a direct sequel of the Final Fantasy series. *Totally confused*Edit

Sorry to bother you but I was trying to edit this page -> http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bomb_(Crisis_Core), to add a missing Enemy Ability to the table but when I try to edit, the code for the table ends with the "Interruptible" category. There's nothing else after that; "Abilities" and "Additional info" are clearly visible on the page but I can't see them in the code so I'm confused @_____@ what am I missing?  Silent Voice  10:36, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Don't ever worry about bothering me, I'm always happy to be on hand to help. Hmmm, I've been here two years and I don't really know Interruptible...I'm answering you via my phone so I can't really check, but if you've already saved an edit that went wrong, undo it (I'll tell you how to do that if you need). What I tend to do with tables is keep the edit mode in one broswer tab and the view of the article on another so you can see how the code makes the table. Your columns- Abilities and Additional Info- are at the top of the code, and after that, every additional pipe- | one of those- signifies the info that goes with them. So if there's three columns you'll have three pipes following, separated by |-. The pipes on their own are what you add the information after, so if you're looking to add a missing something, you find an empty pipe in the code and add next to it.

I really hope that's what you were after...I have to admit I'm not the best with tables. You can always post on the article's Talk page if you're having trouble. Well, I hope I helped a little. Tia-Lewise 11:18, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Ah! I was about to give up and just post on the talk page when I decided to look at the actual code of the Crisis Core enemy infobox template. The code is wrong. It doesn't include the last two categories (Abilities and Additional info). Somehow they still show up on the page but they're not included in the code, which is probably why they can't be edited. They could be hidden but there's no indication of that (I couldn't find any hidden structure code). I'm not gonna mess with it because I'm new here but I think that's it.
