Stop fucking messing up the FFTA articles/sections by altering the widths of columns. --Frusion1021 04:47, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Just add 'em to the FFX-2 job pages. Hopefully we'll get pages on each one. I'm not too familiar with that game (of the Job system games, I'm mostly familiar with FFI and FFV). Crazyswordsman 04:12, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I just wanted to say I'm impressed

With all the FFX-2 work you're doing. I could never do that! Crazyswordsman 02:34, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Dang man, you're like a machine. :) I'm having a hard enough time updating more than 4 articles in a day, but you are just pounding them out. oakenfelder
Personally, I'm also impressed. I just logged on to view the recent changes and pretty much the entire first page is you going on a serious updating spree. Grats.

[edit] One thing

It's no particularly big problem, but could you slow down the image uploadery just a tad? We don't want Copyright laws on our back do we now? --Auron Kaizer 18:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, I wouldn't worry about the garment grid images since i made them all. Lycentia
Oh yeah, you have a point =P That's going to be eligible for a featured article in no time. --Auron Kaizer 18:56, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Believe it or not, it still counts as copyright infringement. All the pictures we have break the copyright laws. --Hecko X 19:17, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Of course. But nobody cares. Gaming companies basically let fans use pics of their creations. --Crazyswordsman 08:32, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images

When uploading an image with the same exact motif as a an already uploaded image, only more detailed or in better quality (e.g. this contra this), then please use the "Upload a new version of this file"-function as
a) We won't have to deal with duplicates
b) it saves space
c) I won't have to manually clean up everything and waste hours on that.

Also, Image categories should always lead to the respective game and nothing else, regardless of the motif. It can be of a summon, a class, a character, whatever, it should still only be called "Category: Final Fantasy ? Images". I have reasons for this. Once enough images have been categorized, my plan will come into fruition... Thank you. --Hecko X 06:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I originally started doing just that, but the images i was replacing were on the main character articles and messed it up. And I couldn't find the image tag so I could just resize them. Only then did I just make them as new files. Lycentia 00:02, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, but there's still the category issue that you are not following. I'm changing them for a specific reason, not to annoy you. Please abide by the instruction given rather than changing them back. --Hecko X 23:26, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry. Missed that part of the message. I shall follow thy instructions. ^_^ --Lycentia 23:28, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Awesomeness ^_^ Anyway, since you've been so active with catagorising, I've started on the galleries which a fully name- and controlable (as opposed to before where everything was automatic and... not to cleverly named some of the times, e.g. "687867.jpg" for... I think it's Kadaj) --Hecko X 23:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
BTW, there's a batch of images in the category Final Fantasy media. Should I re-catagorize em into images category? --Lycentia 23:48, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Good thing you're doing it, this is one of the things I won't do, due to persistent boringness. --Auron Kaizer 00:28, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Really? When I'm bored I just wander around catergorising stuff... that and adding "wanted" articles, and de-crapping others...--Goldberry2000 00:54, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
"Final Fantasy media" really should be for images from the Final Fantasy game. Crazyswordsman 01:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SERIOUSLY

How many pictures do you have??? O_O --Auron Kaizer 15:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Note that she is categorizing existing images, not uploading new ones. --Hecko X 16:57, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not ignorant. --Auron Kaizer 18:21, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not implying that you are, I'm just stating a detail I thought you had overlooked. --Hecko X 18:33, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
According to my disc, I've got 1,023 just final fantasy pics, not counting wallpapers. Those are on another disc. I never get rid of anything :P --Lycentia 00:04, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dirge of Cerberus

Figured I'd better correct you before you got too far ahead. The full title is spelled:
Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-
not
Dirge of Ceberus: Final Fantasy VII
--Hecko X 23:31, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry. I was just matching the other two category titles. --Lycentia 23:33, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, they should probably be corrected... Along with the one simply named "Dirge of Cerberus". Heh... ^_^ --Hecko X 23:39, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FFXII Maps

Wow! How did you make them so clear ? Excellent job, thanks :D Renmiri 00:22, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dancing Mad

Can you convert it to mp3 so it's easier to use? --Crazyswordsman 03:39, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Can we use mp3s here? I thought we could only have oggs? --Lycentia 22:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Try uploading an mp3. I know Uncyc is mp3 compatible, so I'll have to ask one of them how to do it. --Crazyswordsman 23:02, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Can't you just hit ignore warnings to bypass it?--Goldberry2000 23:51, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Nope. It won't accept the file at all. --Lycentia 23:53, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, that sucks.--Goldberry2000 23:57, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks alot

Thanks for fixing that idiotic redirect I did yesterday; I must have been really tired to have made it redirect to itself... anyways yea, thanks. Oh yea on a side note, I have done nothing on my quotes page for ages, but rest assured your quotes will be used when I get around to it :P --Goldberry2000 11:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Are you copying your album pages from Wikipedia?

If so, let's not make them clones. Expand on them a bit. --Crazyswordsman 07:20, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

If I was copying everything directly from Wikipedia, I'd be done by now. And I was going to ask for help with expanding. I'm not good at writing. --Lycentia 22:14, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nice Userbox

I like the Userbox with the Cactuar. Can I use it? I too spend too much time here, although my edits aren't as numerous, this wiki is always in the background. Diablocon 00:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Go ahead. --Lycentia 00:58, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, the fairy from the wikifairy userbox, is it the fairy-enemy from Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis? --Hecko X 08:20, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
It's one of the faeries from Tactics Advance. --Lycentia 08:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Oh yeeeeah... Those from Tacticss Ogre had blue leotards, not red dresses. My bad ^_^ --Hecko X 11:45, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for adding the See also section on all the job pages, I was going to do the same thing, except it was going to be at the bottom as its own section (so the Priest page, for example, links to the main White Mage page, as well as white mages from other games). Diablocon 12:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I wasn't totally sure where to put them, but I noticed that was were they were on the X-2 and TA pages, and just went with the majority. --Lycentia 21:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Would it kill you to just ask before you make edits, like with the character/game templates back there? Not to mention the now messed-up Userbox page. Also, I did not see why you had to desecrate my Seifer userbox. --Auron Kaizer 15:52, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

The red text on a black background is a strain on the eyes. And I already explained everything on the other talk page. Are you just determined to start a fight or something? Cause I'm not biting. --Lycentia 21:14, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
EDIT: Also, I was trying to coordinate the colors of the templates, so you could tell which game in you were at, just by looking at the colors, and trying to make it look less like it was just ripped off for wikipedia. --21:20, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Are you not able to take one bit of criticism without making it sound like I'm trying to "pick a fight"? I don't see what's so straining about it anyway, maybe you should turn down the color on your monitor. --Auron Kaizer 22:58, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Holy crap

I just got to say, good work catagorising nearly everything on the Wiki, that must take an increadible amount of focus (or an increadible lack of sanity). So, thank you Lycentia, for making the Wiki a nicer place to navigate. Diablocon 12:19, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I second that motion, and raise you a "you rule".--Goldberry2000 13:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Why, thank you guys. --20:54, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Knights of the Round

Nice one adding the video for Ultimate End. It looks great on the page and does better than a picture with a caption ever could.--Goldberry2000 16:44, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I added it cause I couldn't find any good pics. --19:21, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks again

Thanks for adding the rest of the FF III jobs (with pictures and all). I was in the middle of it, but alas, as I tend to do, I got distracted and did somthing else. However, I can help unstub the ones you've made at least. Diablocon 12:00, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Just glad to help. I had the pics so I decided to add them. The info, however, not my best area :P --20:35, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey.

Can you get FFIII-VI summon sequences as well? --Crazyswordsman 15:44, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I remember finding the XII summoning sequences on YouTube when the Japanese version came out. Want me to find those? As for III-VI, I think GIFs would work well for them. Diablocon 15:49, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Don't know. I found YouTube stuff. But if someone has a good GIF making program they should do it just in case something happens to YouTube. --Crazyswordsman 20:31, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dyne (skill)

Hey Lucy, saw what you did with the Dyne (Skill) article, nice job finding and embedding the videos. Any chance you could do the same with Blue Magic (Final Fantasy IX) (if you're not doing it already)? --Hecko X 00:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

No prob. I'll see if I can find em. --01:05, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FFXII summons UBs

Hehe, awesome idea that. Why didn't I think of that? And WHY couldn't Zeromus be Leo?? -_- --Auron Kaizer 22:55, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

I was hoping Zeromus could be Gemini, but Zalera is cool enough. Good additions Lyc. Diablocon 23:21, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I was originally planning to use pics of the zodiac stones from Tactics, but when I saw the XII espers were associated with the signs, I figured they would look better. ^_^ --02:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually, we can do both. Each Zodiac stone in Tactics is a unique colour, so while the picture can be of the XII Esper, the actual colour of the box can be that of its respective Zodiac Stone. Also, I want to make one for Zodiark, just for completeness sake. :) Diablocon 14:50, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Edit: I edited each one so that it has the same colour as its FFT Zodiac Stone. Some make sense (Aquarias is a nice blue colour), but some are just weird (Virgo is also blue, even though something like white, gold or silver would make more sense). Diablocon 16:20, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You misunderstood

I meant to make it look like every other template, with a width of 100%, at the centre of the page. Diablocon 21:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

That's a bit boring. The long before the current (ugly) one, worked just fine. --Auron Kaizer 21:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Where'd you get that Rydia sprite?

Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6.

[edit] An Idea

Seen as you where the person who sent me my first message (thanks by the way), i was wondering if i could perhaps bring an idea forward for the site as i assume you know what you're doing without a doubt =]. My idea is for us to have opinion articles on here aswell as the usual factual database articles, people could post critiques or games/characters etc, and it would add an interesting dimension to the site. My apologies if this has already been done, and stupid me hasn't noticed. But I think it would be an interesting idea. Thanks for your time =]

I found those sprites on the Japanese game site. The only way I really know of getting them, is to use a ROM file and an emulator that can take screenshots. That's how it's done with NES and SNES. But I personally don't know anything about PSP emulation.

TALK - I can't hear anything outside of this hat, kupo... {{{time}}}
When I said that, I meant Bartz's order. Since he can equip all weapon types, it seemed the most logical choice because that way I would assumably see the fixed order for all the weapons, instead of with most everyone else where they stuff the weapons they can use on top. Firion has the same order and falls under the same setup as well.

Do you think level order is the right way to do it? I'm used to things following game order. Though considering how this is set up... eh.

Technically, I am using the game order. I just have it re-sort the list by level. When I sort it like that, it seems to also sort it by type as well as level. It's the same type order on the weapons page.

Well, I'm sure that's not the default organization. But eh, I'm best at organizing under any unanimous decision, so I won't be doing anything to change it. Someone else can decide if that works or not, if they do.

And keep up the good work.

[edit] Dissidia EX Burst Vids

They're a nice addition, thanks for them. I feel bad for saying this, but, is there any way to get them with the interface showing, so viewers can see exactly how the player powers up the attack? As is though, they're still great, thanks again. Drake Clawfang 04:16, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

I didn't save the game format videos. I'd have to start over from scratch. I took out the interfaces cause I thought it would look a little better. I would have just liked to remove the lower part of the interface, but the options are limited to everything or nothing. --Lycentia 04:26, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Ah, that sucks...well it's okay then, thanks for them as is! Drake Clawfang 04:30, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Dissidia XI and XII

I guess you missed this in my talk page due to my late response, but yeah, in the equip section, Shantotto and Gabranth are represented by an XI and XII, respectively. Also, Shantotto's is hero color and Gabranth's is villain color, so you don't have to worry about if they're new colors or not.
And while we're at it, should we put the Combinations page in a table? I only ask because I was thinking of adding the respective equipment to it. Probably will in non-table form but I dunno if a table would suit it or not.
Hmm, idk. I would say, try doing it non-table first. If you don't like how it looks, go we can go tables later. I'm just not sure of the best way to organize it in tables. -- Lycentia 12:14, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I already did it. But what do YOU think? I'm not really much of a good judge of layout. I usually just mimic. Though with the large weapon selection for some, maybe it'd be a bad idea after all.
No, it'll work. Let me work a little magic on. I think it just need a little makeover. -- Lycentia 12:35, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead. I'm just the info input guy really. Looking forward to see what you have in mind.

Looks pretty good. Again I'm not a very good judge, but it looks better than before. Then again I never have any idea on how to think up aesthetics. But yeah, good.

I see you're working on Distant Glory. I don't know who else to ask about this since I don't know anyone else's progress, but I must ask:
Is there any chance you can snag the Heike's Blade and Heike's Armor and record their stats on the proper pages? I really don't know if I'll have the convenience to get them off Genji drops myself, and I already grabbed mine, so I need someone else to get the info for them. And since the Heike's set is the set you get in the Distant Glories, you should be close to getting them.
If I manage to snag em, I'll add em. No prob. -- Lycentia 12:49, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks. You should probably snag them easily once you get the ultimate battle pieces and plan accordingly. By the way, the Rosetta Stone is the 7+ DP reward, just like every single other story mode save the Prologue and Inward Chaos, so that's something you can put in your Distant Glory sandboxes.

[edit] EX Bursts

Do you think you could upload and add videos of Gabranth and Shanttoto? Drake Clawfang 04:18, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Sure. Should I do all of Gabranth's, or just the "Black Hole" one?-- Lycentia 08:34, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Er, sorry to intrude, but what did you do for the previous ones? Just do that. The only ones I looked at if I recall were Kuja's and Tidus's, and both of those are "if you don't get perfect you get less hits/damage but the same finisher". In fact, Blitz Ace wasn't done perfectly. ...in fact, Blitz Ace looked bleh without the HUD. And it just doesn't seem right to go without the HUD and minigame if it's always used (plus it shows people who haven't played how it works). The only reason I haven't asked about it being changed is because you said you'd have to start from scratch and I didn't know if you wanted to or not.

By the way, if you aim for Shantotto's perfect it's pretty easy as once you find Flare it's as simple as X X down X X down X X down and so on. The order never changes outside of shifting every skill the same amount down or up (and wrapping around to make up for the overflow), and you can go from bottom to top with down (and probably top to bottom with up ) so little thought is required.
All of Gabranth's, I would say. Most EX Bursts obviously, change if they aren't perfect, it would be excessive to note all the variations. Drake Clawfang 17:18, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Drake, you kinda contradicted yourself there. All of them would mean showing three different versions of the EX Burst (The three different Concurrences). Personally I'd say go for the Black Hole concurrence if you were getting perfects, as I asked above.

Whatever, I meant all his Quickenings, not Concurrences. I knew what I meant. Drake Clawfang 17:44, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

It's not like I don't TRY to get a perfect execution. I've never gotten a perfect on Blitz Ace for some reason. And I DID manage to get Black Hole with Gab. I got all the Concurrences. I just wanted to know if you wanted me to try to cut them all together, or just add the "Black Hole". -- Lycentia 22:53, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Music pages

I'm curious as to why you're removing the See also sections on the music pages you're adding links to. — YuanSalve!Acta 11:30, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Because the links in the section are already in the templates. -- Lycentia 11:32, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
See alsos link to more closely related things, that are more likely to be of the viewer's interest than the rest of the things on the Nav. I don't really care much, jus' sayin'.  ILHI (W/B) 11:56, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] CoD

About the earlier revert, I'm not sure what it was but somehow the coding you modified changed the appearance of the edit tabs at the top and the left sidebar. You fixed it now though, so no harm done. :) Drake Clawfang 12:50, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I just forgot to close the DIV tag. That one little tag can cause so many problems if you're not careful. >_< -- Lycentia 12:58, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
