Jimcloud - Yeah, I'm a girl. So what? TALK- 01:51, February 10, 2011 (UTC)
I don't have a lot of rules to my talk page, but I may as well spell them out.
Talk bubbles or text, either works. Just keep it consistent.
I can see no good reason to use profanity when speaking with you. I'd appreciate it if you did the same.
If I sent a message to you on your talk page, I'll probably respond on your talk page. However, if you send me a message here, I'll respond here. Remember to check back.
Heya.. I'm just gonna open up a new section because I think I'm going to need your help a lot.. I either come across files that need to be renamed or I accidentally upload the file with the wrong spelling, or wrong letter case. I'm slightly OCD as far as the latter is concerned, so I'm gonna start a list of stuff I need you to rename for me :p
(will continually remove the ones you have renamed and add stuff to this list)
(i'm back :p)
It's no problem. Done and done. By the way, I think we have Blade: Ko, it's the one with the tiger, right? If so, I'll move both it and Blade: Ga to their proper names. Jimcloud 19:10, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
Yes it is! Just edited that in. Thanks a bunch. I'll keep you posted if I find anymore. Kimlasca warrior (talk) 19:45, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
I think I found you on the game :D I would have said hi there, but sadly my game is buggy where I can't input text at all, including the code for the special summon stone :< Which one did you get? If you need a code I have extra! Cecily 06:25, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, nice to sort of psuedo-see you there! I have sadly not obtained a summon stone :( if you have an extra code, I will gladly take it. Jimcloud 06:30, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
Yup, that worked like a charm! Thank you very much :D and I will let you know if there happens to be a free spot in my party. Jimcloud 07:01, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
I'm glad that worked! Did you get just Cloud, or was it Cloud & Zidane because I had gotten 2 emails with the same code so I wasn't sure exactly how that was going to turn out. Cecily 07:27, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
I got both Cloud and Zidane, yeah. Weird that you would get two emails with the same code, though, how odd. Jimcloud 07:34, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
It may be because I had initially signed up that particular email without the referral code and then signed up and with the same email with all the various codes I found online (lol) but in the end only ended getting 2 emails-one declaring the code for just cloud and the another for cloud & zidane. Cecily 07:44, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
I've been screen capping images using Screenshot Ultimate but it sucks a bit since there is a delay making it hard for me to get some images. If you know of better (free) app that can take pics instantly I can get pictures of Carbuncle & Atlas before the text shows up. I have already gotten some of the things screencapped, I just need to sort and process images later. Cecily 21:24, December 20, 2012 (UTC)
You could try to take a picture of them during the battle, hoping that there's not some sort of weird effect that takes place as the screenshot is taken. It might be best to take a couple, actually. Also, I didn't think of it, but a pink fragment picture would be cool as well. And thank you :D Jimcloud 21:45, December 20, 2012 (UTC)
Hey Jim, have you transmuted any items yet in the game? Even if you transmute something that has been maxed evolved, then new item will be without any limit breaking (and thus can still be evolved), right? I think someone from my brigade is lying to me about it to mess me up because they didn't like how helpful I've been to the others (like wtf?) I've organized a ton of data from the Japanese wikis and comparing weapons and abilities to figure out what would benefit most from transmuting since my crystal suppply is limited. Cecily 15:51, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
I just checked, and no, they do not carry over. The naturally higher level limit of the higher quality weapon is there, but the level limit raising doesn't transfer over. My Sargatanas went from max level 125 to max level 120. Jimcloud 17:23, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
Just list anything that needs disambiged in the Articles to Move topic. Easier for someone like Cat to see it there and then move it~
Jimcloud - Yeah, I'm a girl. So what? TALK- 04:21, December 20, 2012 (UTC)
*laughs like the pilsbury dough boy* But in all seriousness, it's been placed there. I didn't think about it :\
Atelier.Eladrin (talk) 03:22, December 25, 2012 (UTC) Except that page is implying that they were branded by the god pulse, when that is CLEARLY Anima doing the branding....hence why I have and will continue to keep correcting it. jeez, if you're going to have info on here, at least make sure it's accurate...which if you're an admin you aren't doing very well at....with all due respect of course.
Final Fantasy XIII Ultimania Omega identifies the figure with a half-covered face as the god Pulse. You can read more details on this from Pulse's article.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 04:04, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for the tip! Really, really helpful!! I noticed some of the pictures weren't in there and I managed to get screens of them from the game. I keep getting 'You cannot upload photos on this wiki' when I try to upload them though. Any assistance? :)
Should Bind, Rasp, Frost, Flash, and Choke get their own status pages? If so, I'll put them on Articles to Move. --Shockstorm (talk) 22:28, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, not sure. Probably a good idea, though, especially with Flash, Rasp, and Choke, which are abilities in other games as well. (Maybe the others too? Dunno.) Jimcloud 22:45, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
Jim, you mentioned in the FF Airborne Brigade ability section (here) that "Coss-Slash" was a summon stone instead of an ability. Well, both Stone and Ability share the same sprite. If you don't believe me, here's a screenshot that shows it along with other abilities:
Yeah, they both look the same, I know, but their backgrounds are different, which was my point. Even if they look the same minus backgrounds, they are effectively different images, so we should have both. Jimcloud 18:43, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Hey, I just noticed that the backgrounds and some stuff for the ability images change depending on whether it's N, N+, R, R+, SR, and SR+ (i.e. a dark blue frame appears in N+, etc.). It's also happening with the summon stones/weapons. Do you think we should post those images as well??? Kimlasca warrior (talk) 20:24, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I've been wondering about that myself as well... the difference almost seems too minute to merit more than one image for each, but I don't know :\ You could try making a forum page for this, perhaps with two images shown for a side-by-side comparison, and see what the Wiki at large thinks about it. I'm kind of torn, myself. Jimcloud 20:32, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Tia-Lewise - Sponge, and a bit o' jam! It's not the Shawshank bleedin' Redemption! TALK- Happy birthday! 14:56, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Very disappointed that nobody has given any off-IRC birthday messages to our loveable admin, so I shall do both :D Hooray, you've hit the big 2-0! Now get a job. Sound familiar? xD Anyway, have fun sweetie!
Hey, I responded to your post on FFXI on my talk page. It's kinda long so I won't repost it here but please check it. Thanks Hashmalum (talk) 12:05, February 27, 2013 (UTC)
The renders shouldn't really be in with the artwork, since they are in-game images, not art (and I have a complete set of all FFIX weapon artwork coming, so there's definitely enough to justify weapon artwork as its own category). Otherwise, all the enemy renders, character renders, and really, every image taken from the game would all be lumped into the artwork categories. Espritduo (talk) 00:38, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
I... didn't put them with the artwork, did I? Jimcloud 00:40, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, but I think I see what you think you saw. All those images with the scratchy background aren't artwork, they're images of the renders scanned and cropped from the Ultimania. It seems we have those scans of renders, and then the actual renders as separate images, and then a small smattering of real concept art. The actual concept artwork is considerably different from the renders. Espritduo (talk) 00:44, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
Oooooh, does this mean I can get out the deletion stick and smack some scans of renders? Jimcloud 00:46, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
Sure, knock yourself out! I mean, they look nice, but the artwork will look better, and the true renders are the "legit" versions, I suppose. Espritduo (talk) 00:57, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
I guess the question would be whether or not the arted renders display anything different than the renders do sufficiently to keep them. Are the differences (coloration, for example) a quirk of the scanner that uploaded them, or actual differences from the printing of the Ultimania? Jimcloud 01:24, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
Probably a combination of both. No printed/scanned reproduction is going to be perfect. Only a purely digital reproduction, like the render-grabs we have from the game itself, show the 100% true coloring of the object. But, looking at the List of Final Fantasy IX Weapons, they do work well on that page, no? I dunno, it's up to you.Espritduo (talk) 02:27, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
