Hi! I noticed your uploading the PSP versions of the Bands for TAY. A couple weeks ago I got screen captures off videos online for all the missing ones on that page because it was driving me nuts having the blank slots. Are you using a capture card on your game or are you getting them some other way? Either way, if you need help collecting any, I might be able to help out by searching once again. If not, then that's fine too, I just thought I'd offer :) ~ TheMoonclaw 02:19, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
I've been grabbing screenshots off Youtube (specifically from this user's LP). I do intend to get a PSP eventually, but that option isn't available to me right now. Firebird 03:32, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
Lol, that's where I got my pics from too for the Bands, but I was having trouble finding the PSP ones, though. I don't have that system either. ~ TheMoonclaw 02:13, September 11, 2011 (UTC)
Nice job with the Band pictures! Looking good.Keltainentoukokuu 12:36, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Only, what, 2 Band images left to get??? Nicely done! The page looks great now. I hope your also enjoying your new PSP :) ~ TheMoonclaw 06:50, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
I must say, I'm impressed at all of these images you've uploaded so far! I wish I could help out with that, but alas, I cannot. Do you have any other plans for images on either of these two games (I don't know how much can be gotten from Interlude since I know nothing about it...)?
Summons, ninjutsu spells (if I can find a place to fit them), abilities, the bands I haven't cleaned up yet. There's nothing in Interlude that can't be obtained in the two mainstays.
Ahhh. I see. Well, at least that'll clean up those parts. Though am curious if you couldn't get status images too (I'm assuming the spells look the same in both games like they did in the original versions, so I'm assuming that the statuses probably do as well).
Just dropping by to say nice job uploading those images. They all look nice (I do agree that Protect probably shouldn't be mentioned as a status though...since it wasn't a status at all in the original FFIV...). On topic of statuses though, I do wonder if you can't get the menu images of those (for both things like the icons for statuses, and for the transformation images, though I wouldn't think you'd want to try and get ALL of the Pig/Toad/Mini images from the menu....that'd take a bit to do I'd reckon). Also, erratic pace indeed lol...@_@
Keep up the good work nonetheless! I really should update my Sandbox on what all images are needed from that game too...though that'd mean I'd have to go through every article here on the wiki just to see what's not there, and I'm not familiar with TAY to do that. Aw well~
Gotta say, that's a LOT of images you've gotten from both games so far. I'm rather impressed x_x;; Truly, I am. That's a lot of work just getting the attack images alone, let alone all of the ability and spell images for the playable characters you've gotten from both games.
Now I'm curious, since I brought this up before with the status images, does the PSP versions even have icons for statuses in the main menu window? I know they have portraits for the transformation statuses (Frog and Pig anyways, dunno about Mini...and I don't know if they did anything different with those like they did with FFII's PSP frog images...), but not sure if they use icons for any of them at all in either game x_x;;
No problem :)
Yes, there's menu icons for the out-of-battle statuses in the PSP version. I'll get those soon, they're easier to screen-rip than portraits (which I may or may not do because they'd be difficult to clean from a screen-rip than ripping them straight from the game file itself, which I think is what User:HoodedMan did. Where is he, anyway?).
If anything, you could get someone else to clean it up like Drake maybe if he's up to it. As for him, I have no idea...he did kinda just vanish, didn't he...hm. Though with those, we'd probably only really need them from one of the two games (or three, if you include Interlude) since well...they'll probably be the same for all of those I'd think.
So now I have to ask, what do you have planned after you get through all of whatever you're doing (I'm assuming it's just enemy attack images for now, or the ones you CAN get...I have no idea if there's brand new ones in TAY or not. Probably so, but...)?
Oh yes....THAT thing...I remember commenting on several fixes while putting images on pages for these monster pages about how horrible quality those pages are (and they are pretty bad...it's bad when FFIII has more coverage on monsters than another game...). I might try to add in sections for battles against said monsters, but most of the time in that game you can just simply smack them around with physicals (like in VII...which is kinda hard to MAKE good battle strategies when all you need is attack for the most part). Though I guess with IV, it could be split between all other versions and the DS version, since DS has the biggest change in monsters...of course, I'm not replaying IVDS even if anyone paid me to....I hate that version so much >_<
This kinda reminds me of when I was trying to revamp the FFT articles since those were pretty bad before (luckily those got beefed up a lot compared to before, but I can't help but wonder if there isn't more that can be done on them...), and also reminds me of how bad the articles for FFTA and FFTA2 need done too...you might get someone to help on that...I hope. The wiki overall, while it is comprehensive in a lot of places, is rather lackluster in several other places. Mostly due to nobody caring about said games (like the Tactics series)...still, makes me wonder why NOBODY has given IV as much attention...

Been meaning to do this for a while, but thanks for the FF4 PSP images, we've far too few of them and fewer users able to provide them. :)
Come vote in the Soul Shrine and take one of my Final Fantasy quizzes.
Oh, sorry about that. I shouldn't have assumed that it was author request. But thankfully I can easily restore the page. If you want me to protect the page from IP accounts if the vandalism continues, just ask. ScatheMote 12:29, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
Is it alright if I edit your Sandbox? See, I recently found cheats for the GBA version to alter my level and party, could use that to quickly work out character stats. Cat 15:26, April 12, 2012 (UTC)
Go ahead. Actually, I'd really appreciate it if you could find level up stats for TAY...Firebird(talk)FF4sandbox 16:43, April 12, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, don't have TAY. Might try it out this summer, though... Cat 23:11, April 16, 2012 (UTC)
Since you're one of the few that has this, perhaps you can help with finding out whether some of these glitches happen in this or not. I'm not sure if ALL of them were fixed, or just some or none at all, but would be helpful if you could. Gonna ask a couple others on this topic too to see if they can help as well. If you can do this, would help with updating info on whether or not the glitches exists in that version or not (I haven't checked to see what's in the GBA or if it's even mentioned, but yeah...).
Seeing as you got a lot of the ones before, would you be able to ripe party sprites as well? There's two portraits and a lot of field sprites we lack. DoreikuKuroofangu 05:13, May 13, 2012 (UTC)
Looks like someone on TSR finally started uploading PSP sprites when I wasn't looking, heh. (you could try using those; haven't been here recently because I got a copy of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep recently and haven't put it down since) I've actually been wanting to do the field sprites for a while, but I assumed you'd want it animated, and I don't know the FPS rate for field walking (there's three sprites for each direction as opposed to two in the earlier versions). Firebird(talk)FF4sandbox 08:39, May 14, 2012 (UTC)
Ah BBS, a worthy game to be consumed it :). Yeah, I got the SR ones, I don't particularly care if they're animated or not though. I'm actually not sure now if the old field sprites were taken from a website or if I animated them myself, come to think of it. DoreikuKuroofangu 14:21, May 14, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, a few other things I noticed. Would you be able to get the menu portraits for Calca and Brina, and the alt-colored portraits for Monk C and the Guards? DoreikuKuroofangu 21:02, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not quite sure how far your sprite extraction goes, if that is how you got the PSP sprites, but would you perhaps be able to confirm that the enemies shown here are indeed dummied, and if so which ones are from FF4, Interlude, or TAY? Thanks. DoreikuKuroofangu 22:01, October 3, 2012 (UTC)
That Napalm Bomb looks a lot like the Melt Bomb (PSP version) if I remember correctly, I'm certain that it has a darkish colored palette. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:04, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
