Thanks for the BD:FF info :) --Shockstorm (talk) 02:52, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for adding info on Bravely Default. There's hardly anything to be found online for that game besides pictures.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:19, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

Want to learn how to categorise files? :) There is the "add photo" button in the default skin, but don't use that one, you can use http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Upload (you can put this in your toolbar in the default skin too). It has instructions but basically just type to the summary field . How to see what categories already exit I think the easiest is to go (top navivation in default skin) Directory --> Main Categories --> Games --> Bravely Default: Flying Fairy --> Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Images and see what's already existing there. An image can belong to more than one category, like both artwork images and location images, or artwork images and character images. I haven't put the job images to the character images though, because I consider them more like...gameplay related images. You can browse some other games' image categories to see what they look like too. You can create a new category, like if we suddenly get a lot of images of Bravely Default magic spells they would go to Bravely Default Ability Images, but that probably doesn't exist yet. If you want to create a category you give this "made up" category to a picture anyway, and then in the file view you can click on the category and it gives you the option to create it. To create it you just click "Create" and make this category a subcategory to Bravely Default Images category.

An image should also have a license. If the image is from a game released by Square then it is always Square Enix's copyright no matter who puts their own watermark on it. If it is an artwork or in-game render you can type SECopyright on the summary (the drop down box for the license is the same thing, if you type it you don't have to pick one from the box). Why it works to type instead of using the drop down box is because for images with Scan or Screenshot license you should do it like this: Weekly Famitsu and Bravely Default: Flying Fairy.

If it's all confusing just ask. Also if you have any image editing program, it works to crop as much white space off images as possible. PNG is a good file format for many images because it is lossless and because you can make them have transparent backgrounds. Usually in an image editing program you have some optimize button somewhere that lets you have best quality with smallest file size.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:38, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

And please remember to do this every time with every image you upload (I just categorised/licensed one of your images for you) :) If you can't find any you've forgotten to categorise/license, look in here and you'll probably find it. EDIT- Oh, because I'm sort of paranoid that people don't ever read other's talk page 'rules,' just letting you know I replied to you on my talk. You need to use square brackets for categorising: , and the Category: needs to be there as well. These {{ are for templates. When uploading a screenshot put Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and it will automatically place it in Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Screenshots category. If you don't specify the game, the image will go to the Screenshots category, which is not meant for individual images, but to tie all games' screenshot categories together. It is advised not to file images in the general Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Images category unless you don't know that category they should go to or they don't seem to belong to any of the subcategories. That's because these categories can get very bloated.

When you are editing a file (or an article, or a category) in the default wikia skin the categories are shown on the right side in a column. I'm just saying because you might collapse this section and hide them unintentionally. :)Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 19:46, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

You can put it all into the Summary box, anything you type there just appears on the file page. Typing in the category in brackets always adds a page to that category, so if you typed to an article it'd categorise it there. You can also add categories to an article or file at the bottom of the page when you are viewing it, but there is no way to mark these edits as minor so it's not so convenient to categorise many images in a row like this. But you can just add the template if you want, and then in the file page look to the bottom to add categories. This is auto-fill so it's easy to find the right category.

You get the Fair Use category because the SECopyright template always puts that one I think. Sometimes templates are made to add categories to pages automatically.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 22:39, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

It's ok for images to go to Fair Use Images, you can ignore that category completely. You can always edit the image info afterwards to add or remove anything, so yes you can add category when uploading and then edit the template in.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 00:35, October 20, 2012 (UTC)
