The recent deletion for the Template:User walkthrough ffiv and its reasoning beckons me to ask:
So, since the template was deleted because it is applied to only a user and his userpage, should the rest of the usermade templates for userpages and walkthrough namespaces also be deleted/moved somewhere else?
Awaiting reply.

It depends on how many pages a template is going to be used on. If a template is only going to be used on one page, then there's no need to make it, but if it's going to be used on even five pages, then it stays. Most userboxes are used, or are intended to be used, by multiple users. This particular userbox was designed by one user in a way that would really not apply to anyone else. You can read what it said. And if you feel like you want to restore it, go ahead.

If either are interested, I made a generic walkthrough userbox. But a userbox for a specific walkthrough for a specific game seems something that should be kept to custom boxes.

Ah, thank you then. It's no biggie, designing Userboxes is my thang now. :p
So I suppose this also applies to all of the templates in the Category:User templates? Because I'm not talking about userboxes only. I'm pointing to usermade infoboxes for walkthrough use, random templates for userpages and such and such, because as far as I'm concerned, your walkthroughs use the pseudo-templates. —BLUER一番。 10:48, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Well many of the user templates there are talk boxes, but others just seem to be custom user boxes that can be moved to the user's page and don't need their own templates. As for walkthroughs, is that not okay anymore? Because Blue Highwind and myself both use Boss templates for our walkthroughs, and many people use Navs. Drake Clawfang 15:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

FëasindeTalk"In this spheric universe, love is inverse." 15:03, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Don't mind ILHI too much. Albeit his hard work, he's our resident douchebag.
Censorship because of the overall low quality or even relevance of many comments around the forums is hardly something nobody has ever pointed out. You are more than welcome to express your views on the matter. Keep in mind, though, that if you delete comments other than your own (and sometimes even those) you are bound to get into trouble.
I emphasise: Remember you are not allowed to touch other people's comments (unless they be spam) no matter how idiotic you may think they are.
—W/B Aah, but you see I am right. Piss-taking of other people who appear to be not as intelligent as yourself is my fun. Someone who creates a topic asking for a superior class to be put in place, and then immediately asks himself to do the job is someone... who isn't rare enough. Arghh, that kind of a person is a real pain. Joining here not that long ago and asks to be among those who work extremely hard to keep the place in place, and have done so for longer than many can remember. The answer would be no, but lent to them in a way that does not seem so harsh. I just laugh at them, and then my views of them from then onwards will always be... well, idiotic.
Also, your comment elsewhere in regards to me not just being remembered for my writings in talk pages not always making sense... seriously, what-else would I be remembered for? It's like you are trying to make me think what they could be, and yet giving me no idea to your implications, just something associated with antagonising. Well, you is wrong because you're one of few who see me in that way. Or aren't as courageous in saying it as you and I, possibly because my reverse would end the thing in my favour. Anyway, douchebaggery, it's an insult that's not even funny. Hell, if people actually used insults that made sense. If people's insults were direct and made-sense, rather than "your Mum" comments and insults where they call a person the name of something else. I am not a douchebag nor dickhead -- possibly an idiot but that actually makes sense.
In real forums, moderators delete spam, only so they don't get boosts in their post count for crap. We don't have post counts here, and removing messages does not lower their edits to forum-space. People taking the piss in a joking way is not against..... I actually can't be bothered, an admin deals with behaviour when they see it necessary, though they don't read all forums. But what I think you are referring to Blackheart is just for the person's mutilated humour.
BTW, I don't wish for you to reply Fae. Do so but this isn't going anywhere happy.

I would never do this, and neither would most other users. For example, three/four of our users are Australian, and are young. Now, a plane ticket from Australia to the UK/US is expensive. I'd guess £500 (a ticket from Scotland to Japan is £600, so that's what I'm basing this on). I'm 20 and I only have £200, so not even I could afford such a trip, nevermind people still in school.
The way you talk about all this makes it seem like you think this is jsut something people throw together on a whim. Conventions take a lot of time and money, and no one on our relativly small site would put that much investment into it.

Well, "The Fierce Battle", aka, megaboss theme (Atma Weapon/Statue music), is Kefka's normal theme, but apparently Dancing Mad is an unlockable track, so it is there. And Forsaken, yes. In that video, Kefka got the three button commands perfect, so he performed "Light of Judgment". But if you get the commands wrong, he uses Forsaken instead.

Drake Clawfang - You've got guts. I like that in a victim. TALK - 18:50, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Lol, wow. Okay, quick tutorial, CSM. What Kefka pulled off there was "EX Mode", achieved when the purple bar next to the HP meter fills. When you enter EX Mode, your appearance changes and you gain new attacks. But, when you damage HP successfully, you can perform an "EX Burst", which is yeah, a Final Smash sorta move, where you input button commands or tap a button rapidly, etc, to power your attack up. EX Mode/Burst is basically, Dissidia's Limit Break system.
Here's the original magazine scan, comparing Dissidia "Forsaken" to FF6'as "Goner": here

Hey, CSM. I'm using the FFVI character pages to test trial an infobox idea I got. Inspired from Earthbound's Wikia no less. You know I do this only to... as I always put it... improve layout and design for the wiki. Hope you're okay with me using the SD artwork as the main image - I always thought they were the closest to portray the characters. I got nothing against Amano, but...ah... those SD images are so standardized that it was kinda neat to see them all in the same pose in all their article. And of course sprites go back into the infobox; sorry for kicking them out last time, I realized it wasn't such a good move after all. Well, I did all of the FFVI playable character infoboxes....then I got to Gogo and Umaro and I realize they don't have their SD artwork LOL, so we'll use the Amano artwork instead for all of them yeah? And I think we'll use Amano art for all infoboxes where applicable - I would say FFII to FFVI gets this treatment.

I think I can see some of what happened. There's a misunderstanding between all of you. ILHI thinks that the three accounts might be run by the same person, which we call "sockpuppets." Unfortunately there's no way to prove whether you guys all have three accounts that are legit, or whether or not they're all sockpuppets. The whole argument is disjointed, so I'm going to bring this up on the forum and I will only believe independent observers, not you guys or ILHI. And we don't tolerate harassment here, and right now until I hear a story I'm implied to block everyone involved, including ILHI.
—W/B It's sorted now. Because they didn't seem to give information which explains all my points to believe they were a part of sockpuppetry until the end, and later on my talkpage. My question is why do people like to bring this up after I had said I'll shut up on Grl's talkpage? My talk page is now filled with people telling me to shut up after I already said I would.

Blue, I think he's asking for the ROM, not the patch. Unfortunately there's a gag rule among video game sites about linking to sites that have downloadable ROMs because of copyright issues. It's complicated, and at times it's unfortunate (and there are lots of sites that have admins that are much more threatening than I am about it, ie "answer this question and you'll be banned," type thing, or "we don't care that you can't find a ROM,"), but unfortunately that's the way it is. The best I can legally help you with is Googling it, and it's not as hard as you think. Also, I highly recommend importing the game so you own a legal copy which would make any case against you harder to pull. I imported a legal copy myself (and it's sitting on my dresser in its celophame!), and I don't regret it. Think of it as a way to say "thanks" to the creators, who busted their balls doing this. Good luck!

Drake Clawfang - You've got guts. I like that in a victim. TALK - 00:16, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
They chose villains and heroes depending on their connection. This is why Jecht and Golbez got in over Seymour and Zemus.
And yes, Seifer should have been in over Ultimecia. Not only is he the superior character, but after subbing Squall's story and watching it, Seifer would have also had much better character dynamic with Squall too. Ultimecia is just...bleh. She's as unimpressive a villain in Dissidia as she was in FF8.
Goldberry2000 - That was a rhetorical question, and the answer was my fist TALK - Sandbox {time}
I actually agree with that. Seifer would have been far better than Ultimecia, because she was only a real enemy for THE LAST DISK. At least Seifer and Squall have a HISTORY. Golbez and Cecil makes sense, of course.

I missed Diablo's comment before. Yeah, early on Kain was being considered to represent FF4 on the villain side, but he ultimately got cut for Golbez. I know you don't like Nomura, CSM, but apparently he really wanted Kain in the game. There's no plans for a Dissidia sequel yet, but Nomura's said if there is a sequel, as far as he's concerned Kain is guaranteed to be in it.
@Goldberry - Exactly. In Squall's Dissidia story, Ultimecia is nothing. She manipulates and deceives Squall for no real reason, and Squall fights and opposes her...for no real reason. Their dialogue is bland, typical "foolish hero!" and "evil villain, I will defeat you!" stuff. Nothing like the interaction from Cecil and Golbez, or Terra and Kefka. Hell, I hate Sephiroth, but he and Cloud have a reason to fight each other, their dialogue is good at least.
Ultimecia and Squall have nothing to work off of, no story or history at all. Had Seifer been in the game, with his history with Squall and their rivalry, there could have been an awesome storyline there. Oh well.
I've subtitled Parts 1 and 2 of Terra's storyline, if you want to watch. Kefka is much fun as ever - he tells a combination of lies and truth, pisses off the heroes doing so, then loses his patience for that and starts laughing and blowing up shit. Oh, BTW, I found this - it's the script for Terra and Kefka's final battle in Dissidia's final stage. See if any of it sounds familiar....
Kefka: It's not enough...More! More destruction! Terra: Stop it already! Any more destruction is meaningless! Kefka: Meaningful destruction is boring! Meaningless destruction is fun! If people know everything will eventually be destroyed, why do they continue to build? If they know that they will eventually die, why do they continue to live? Once you're dead, it all becomes meaningless! Terra: Because there are things we must protect. Isn't it enough to search for meaning during your life? Kefka: It's all futile. The world and all of you will soon be eradicated! Life...Dreams...Hopes..Where do they come from? Where do they go? All of these things are empty and unsatisfying! I'll destroy them all.... I'll spend my brilliant life destroying them all!

Crazyswordsman - Final Fantasy VI, because Drake says he wants to link to FF7 every day, which is bad because that game is so far inferior to FF6. TALK - 23:13, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Resend me the email; I forgot I don't use my school email anymore. If it's about my lack of being here, I've been REALLY busy with real life.
And as for the CT DS, "Master of Kitchens" was the last straw. Accurate translations are not always good translations.

I figured real life was getting you down. It happens to everyone.
Anyway, my email was just asking about running a poll for a new admin, since Bluer has been deadmined (he left to go to other wikis) and Hecko is also long gone. I was thinking of running a poll with Faethin, 8BitBlackMage and Yuanchosaan as possible candidates.
Also, ILHI should probably get rollback.

You're a bureaucrat; you know you can do Rollbacks. And I think Faethin is a great choice for adminship.
(and I promise once I finish CT DS with near-max stats (as in the point where a New New Game+ won't accomplish much) and finish my most recent Mother 3 playthrough I'll get back to work on that walkthrough).

Don't worry, I was aware that I can grant rollback, I just feel uneasy not getting a second opinion. I'll start the election for a new admin tommorow.
Also, that's dedication. I beat the Dream Devourer and then put the game down. I now hope Chrono Cross finally gets a freaking PAL release.

Chrono Cross is like FFVII: a great game, but disappointing considering its preceding act.
Hey, CSM. You may recall some time ago you deleted the USERNAME template, citing as the reason that it doesn't work without modifying the js codes on the wiki. Well... I think I've found the necessary code on Uncyclopedia. Obviously, I can't edit the Wiki's copy of the MediaWiki:Common.js file, nor would I dream of doing so without approval. My point is, I think that if you put this code into it, the USERNAME Template would work.
/** Username replace function (template:USERNAME) *******************
* Inserts user name into <span class="insertusername"></span>
* Originally by Splarka
* New version by Spang
*/
function UserNameReplace() {
if(typeof(disableUsernameReplace) != 'undefined' && disableUsernameReplace |
| wgUserName == null) return;
var n = YAHOO.util.Dom.getElementsByClassName('insertusername',
'span', document.getElementById('bodyContent'));
for ( var x in n ) {
n[x].innerHTML = wgUserName;
}
}
addOnloadHook(UserNameReplace);
DISCALIMER: I know nothing of javascript, and not much of html, so if the above does not work, well, I can't help. But if there by some freak chance happens to be anyone who does know it, they could possibly go to the Uncyclopedia one and maybe see what else is needed.
—W/B I could have told you all that ages ago: but where would we ever actually need this template? The odd joke here and there, but I never saw a need here.
Why does it have to have a particular use? When is any wiki likely to have a need for it? The closest thing to a "need" is surely the "You" article on Uncyclopedia. The ability to insert the viewer's username seems to be pointless in itself, yet it still exists. So why shouldn't the function, and by extension, the template?
In fact, I have another point. If you think we shouldn't have it because it's useful only for entertainment, then let's also erase non-factual userboxes. That's basically all but the wiki-related, personal and completed/fandom/hatedom/etc.
