But I have a grievance. One of the things that attracted me to this wiki in the first place was its friendly community spirit. However, I was singledhandedly driven away by your heavy-handed maintenance. In all honesty, you've been a total hardass, and that's made it impossible to enjoy my contributions here or do anything but be royally pissed off. Even Yuanchosaan told me you've become really unworkable. Now, I'm interested in returning to the wiki, but there are some things I want from you. I want you to treat me like a human being with feelings, instead of acting like a robot. I don't want you to mass-tag my articles and uploads without talking to me about it first and asking about my intention. And I want you to discuss things with me rather than merely talking to a bureaucrat. In this community, we need to function like a community, because if we can't even treat each other like human beings, we might as well be Wikipedia with inline citations in every paragraph of every article. Now, for starters, when you deleted Template:jpn, you broke two very important articles I wrote, User:Gilgameshkun/Final Fantasy I Script and User:Gilgameshkun/Final Fantasy VI Script. Doing this without even bothering to check the integrity of where the templates were used was sloppy and made it seem like you just don't care. Had it not occurred to you that I intended to eventually incorporate the scripts into the main article space? They're official game scripts. Anyway, simply renaming the template link on the script pages doesn't work, because {{jpn}} references Template:jpn, while {{/jpn}} references User:Gilgameshkun/Final Fantasy I Script/jpn. User:Gilgameshkun/jpn might have been a reasonable place to put the template, but only works if you reference {{User:Gilgameshkun/jpn}} each and every time. Considering how massive the game scripts are, this is unfeasible because it needlessly repeats text. The whole point of Template:jpn is that it's reusable and can be used in multiple articles, and I'd thought of eventually using it in Japanese text citations in the main articles as well. But when you deleted the template and I recreated it, you deleted it again and blocked it from being recreated. All that really shows me is that you're rude and don't care about other users on this site. Now, can we work together with treating me with respect? I won't for a single moment put up with you treating me like an idiot. And yeah, I kinda have an angry tone right now—you piss me off a ton. Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Neither {{jpn}} nor {{/jpn}} would work, but I forgot that userspace templates might be more case-sensitive in the first letter. I'll see if it works to use {{/Jpn}} instead. ...no dice. It thinks I mean User:Gilgameshkun/Final Fantasy I Script/Jpn, which doesn't exist. And even if it did exist, it defeats the purpose of making the same one template reusable on multiple pages (including User:Gilgameshkun/Final Fantasy VI Script. - Gilgamesh 12:30, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it works the same way as Unix/Windows-style directories. Otherwise {{/Jpn}} would look for Jpn in the root space, which would be the article space. - Gilgamesh 13:05, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

No, it works. /Archive I looks for Bluerfn's first archive. Typing [[../]] in the Archive will look for this talk page. Read this. So [[/]] will look for a subpage; [[../]] will go back to the parent page. And ../'s can be stacked.  ILHI ^(W/B) 13:43, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
