I don't think it's been that long since somebody last talked to me, but I've pretty much retired from FFWiki now. I'm not coming back until every FFXII fan is killed or activity lessens. Never was one for crowds...least of all, crowds of fanboys. I no longer consider myself a fan of the series, since it jumped the shark already. It ended with X.
Anyway, nice to see someone else that genuinely likes X as much (though, maybe not as much) as I do. To me, the game was a liberating experience; it had something intangible that I've seen very rarely experienced in a game. To me, it's beyond all criticism. The many really small flaws the game has are so outdone by the good that it's not even funny. And as good games as FFIV and VI are, they just don't have that dynamic "it" factor. I guess I just played it at the right point at the right time...heh, had I become a fan of the series prior to playing it, I might have found it not to be as good, in hindsight, but for me, X really is the definitive game in the series.
As for CSM, he's just a bitter, power-hungry, sarcastic individual that I find to be an unfit leader. At least he was last time I checked...and people don't really ever change, no matter how much they may or may not try. As for BH (I know you're reading this, "space monkie") the guy's just a self-absorbed, un-funny, self-promoting shill. When the community is infused with people like these...no wonder I left.
Yeah, I realize that I do sound bitter, and I can quite assure you that I am. FFWiki has degenerated into a haven for embittered, obsessed fanboys, dumb opinions and spam, and I no longer wish to be an active part of it. But still, it's people like you who apparently have a level-headed view of things for which I occasionally return, so thank you for that.
