[edit] Steiner
It states clearly in his infobox that he is indeed a Knight. What's the problem here? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 03:15, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, I does not like infobox, then. It should be standard throughout the wiki that in a game that does not have job systems, jobs are not used the label characters. In IX, my opinion seems stupid, because Steiner is obviously a Knight. However, you cannot say the same for VI, VII, VIII, X, and XII (even though IV may agree with IX). I dunno. It happened before and the consensus was that it was uneccessary and led to edit wars, just like what you had with FaythofFenrir.
- What could happen is we make IX the exception, I suppose, but still.... there was a squabble about whether Amarant was a Ninja or a Monk in the past and it led to some ganshing of teeth. 8bit 03:22, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
- Easy, he's both, just like Rikku is a Thief and a Chemist, and Rydia is a Summoner and a Black Mage. With some characters like Terra and Celes, I can see why the edit wars pop up, but being able to use magic doesn't make you a Red Mage, especially in a game (like VI, VII, VIII, and XII) where everyone can learn every spell. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 03:30, September 23, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Garnet
At first I wasn't sure why you considered Garnet attractive, I thought her cute but nothing awesome. Then I saw this....now I understand. :p Drake Clawfang 00:13, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- It's actually a funny story. I read a thing on-line where a guy ranked his top 5 FF women, and Garnet was third (Rydia, Terra and Aerith were 4th, 2nd and 1st respectively). He cited her for being cute, but also "when she goes into Trance, she gets Rydia's outfit and hair". I didn't get what he meant, then I saw that image. And now I do. Drake Clawfang 21:32, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Also, I still agree with what you said of her on my talk page, Garnet is poised and delicate, she's not outright sexy but still attractive. The same article made a good point: "there are no ugly women in Final Fantasy". Thinking back, he's mostly right. Drake Clawfang 21:37, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- True, but there are oversexed women in the series. I won't point anyone out in particular. *cough*. It's kind of sad to think that if they did make a female character with less that a perfect figure, she'd probably be disliked by most every fanboy. This is a viedo game, I guess ^^; 8bit 21:41, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Oversexed? I can point out a few. Hell, I adore her but Rydia counts for sure. You don't want to know the kind of fanfics I've seen about her. *shudder* Drake Clawfang 21:44, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- That why you stick with quiet academic types like Garnet. ^^ 8bit 22:00, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry to bug anyone here but I couldn't help to read this conversation and I can believe someone else likes Garnet. Many people don't give her too much credit, she actually reminds me to Rosa in that aspect. Also, about why the FF are always like that is because sex sells, a sad true. ---- TenzaZangetsu 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh 8Bit, Garnet's aren't like Rydia's, but she still gets it bad. Let me put it this way - Zidane has a tail. I'll let you fill in the rest. Drake Clawfang 22:24, September 25, 2009 (UTC)
I saw your reply on Drake's talkpage. I myself am kind of neutral on Garnet, but like you, I <3 her hair. That is, until she chopped it off. What the heck? Was that really necessary? I don't think she looks nearly half as pretty with short hair...I'm playing through FF9 for the first time, and I think I'm going to use Eiko instead... - +DeadlySlashSword+ 01:36, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed DSS, she looked better with longer hair. Drake Clawfang 01:44, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Same, I think she look better with longer hair, I think all girls look better with long hair. Now don't get wrong idea, I hate IX but not Garnet. She is my less favorite female protagonist. But it a shame she fall in love with a Bamboo. ZEROX (C) 01:59, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Yay! Everyone propagate my luvz for Garnet! 8D
- @Drake: ...................................ew? no? not thinking about this?
- @DSS: Ha, exactly. Her haircut was kind of.... T-T. Still in the ending scene, she grows it all back, so <3. Her profile picture is also better with the long hair, I think... it makes her look more thoughtful.
- @ZEROX: I dunno why you hate IX, it's my favorite game by far. You call Zidane (who is also the best male lead in the series by far ^^) "Bamboo" why? 8bit 02:15, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps he meant "Baboon"? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 02:35, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- That would make more sense. More over I'd like to hear a reason you dislike Zidane that doesn't boil down to, "Oh, the art style is kiddie." or "Oh, he isn't doesn't have a manically tragic character so that=a terrible character."AnonyMan 02:42, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Why I hate IX, it too overrated in this wiki along with Zidane and Vivi, to the point it annoy me. And him having no Magic doesn't help. He the only protagonist with no Magic. And yeah I mean Baboon, that what my glories god of destruction call him. ZEROX (C) 02:47, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- wtfno? It's called Dyne? Dyne > Omnislash Version <insert integer here> by far. Zidane is also a great deal more interesting than Cloud and Squall put together. And gameplaywise, IX knocks VII right out of the water. 8bit 03:01, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
I pity you, NeoBahamut, for not understanding the true glory of the spirit of badass incarnate, Zidane Tribal. Truly yours must be a wretched existence. Perhaps you would shed some light on your horrid fate and explain why you hate him? Drake Clawfang 03:05, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Zidane is as cocky and cookie-cutter as they come, if you overlook the whole "thief" thing. IMHO, Bartz is better. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 03:13, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- I want a list of other "cookies" like this from before 2000. Drake Clawfang 03:19, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Zidane is Bartz, except with MUCH more character and development. You must have stopped playing after an hour if you don't realize how Zidane character grows throughout the game. But minus the idiotic spontaneous drastic 180 turn in personality like a lot of RPG characters do. There's a difference between Begining of the game Zidane and End-game Zidane. AnonyMan 03:23, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- I use to not hate him just don't care for him. But after been here for awhile and look at some user pages and all I see is Zidane is the best protagonist, which start to annoy me, same thing with Vivi. However I did started to like VI more, and after play Dissidia, Kefka tie with Sephiroth as my favorite villain. It just Zidane annoy me and Dissidia made it worst with his voice actor. Beside Cloud and Terra are better protagonist with better villains and their from two greatest FF games. And we should end this pointless war over who is better. ZEROX (C) 03:26, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, ZEROX. There's The Best Hero Thread. I'm sure this would help solve it.--Cluna 06 04:32, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- ZEROX, you brought up the hating IX and subsequently Zidane on my talk page, so we get to defend IX and its host of excellent characters with as much gusto possible. IX is so much more... sunnier than its fellow PS1 games. So much variety in characters, even the graphics are brighter and more inviting, the storyline makes mucho sense, and the music is love. 8bit 04:49, September 26, 2009 (UTC)
- VI is still better and it not overrated. I hate to said this but VII is 100% overrated, Cloud and Sephiroth too. But Cloud reminds me off myself and VII was the reason why I started play the FF series. If it wasn't for VII I will never play VI and never get to know Terra, the only video game girl I actually fell in love with, which give me hope to find a girl just like her, and my favorite psycho god (who call Zidane a Baboon). There are a few thing I like in IX, one is Kuja and it music is good, my two favorite song are Dark Messenger and You're Not Alone. But VI is still better, it music, story, and it doesn't graphics is not 3-D graphics, but I like 16 bit graphics better. And it has Kefka, which is the best and the most enjoyable villain ever. And yet their user who hate VI, which I don't understand. Anyway I'm sorry I brought up that I hate IX, it was wrong of me to slap that in your face. But that just me, I speak the truth. I understand if you are defending IX and Zidane, I'll do the same with VI, VII, Terra and Cloud. So can we just stop with this pointless argument now. ZEROX (C) 05:34, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Can you be on the IRC in an hour and half to discuss TC? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 18:42, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
Hey, 8bit, do you mind if I make a post to TC? I'll send it to you first to review, if you like.
Obligatory poke for artworks, MSN, IRC and EoS edits, my fellow member of the Chemist Association of the FF Wiki. :P — YuanSalve!Acta 07:51, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
- I was going to say asking for ZEROX's/Arma's/Were's permission would be a good idea, but you got it already and posted! YAY FOR FAN EDITS! That makes Nelo and Yuan taking an active role. :) <3 CAFFW. I've been on IRC several late nights... way too late nights... XD We'll catch other on the weekend, hopefully. 8bit 16:25, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Fanfic
Not gonna stalk ya or harp on it, just wondering if you kept reading after chappy one is all. :p Drake Clawfang 07:59, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
- You should link me to website again, because after IRC closed I forgot link. I thought that the first chapter was the only one, because I saw "ten chapters left to write" or something at the bottom. But if you wrote them already, cool! Link me again so I can add it Favorites properly and read the rest, please. :) 8bit 16:25, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, here you go. Drake Clawfang 16:53, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
- This is why you do not give 8bit a link when he has homework to do. Because he spends two hours reading nearly everything on the link and doesn't do homework. I read up to Chapter 9, and I must say, I love it! You do a nice job of exploring the mindsets of almost every character in the fic; Zidane, Squall, and Bartz are the only absentees, along with the two slain villains, and although Cloud and Terra are the supposed main characters, the others are given ample spotlight. In addition, you remain true to their in-game personalities yet give them another dimension; I absolutely LOVE Kefka!!!!!! Never much cared for Cloud (^^;), but all of the villains are excellently written for, IMO. I hope you keep going! Try to throw Zidane in there if you can, but you're doing a nice job alternating between heroes and villains.
- And keep in mind I'm no pro lterary critic, so in hyper 8bit terms: LULZ! I HEART MUCHLY! 8bit 02:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Lol, glad you like it. And yes, Zidane will be there. I've been trying to work in a small interlude with him and Kuja for a while but since Kuja's kicked the bucket, that can't happen now. The story though isn't just gonna cut out once Terra and Cloud get their Crystals, it's going right through to the Chaos battle, so all the other heroes will appear, Zidane includes. You know I can't leave him out totally. ;). Drake Clawfang 18:44, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
I think a while ago, I suggested you do a super special awesome FFIX walkthrough. Any chance of that ever happening? ^_^ Drake Clawfang 03:26, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the thing is, I'm in college, and we don't have a TV. XD Being seperated from my Playstation would make it hard. :) The soonest I think I could write one would be winter break, which would be the beginning of December. I might do it, though, since I'll be home for three weeks... I haven't actually played a Final Fantasy game since later August. Getting back into my favorite game in the series would be a wonderful reprieve from the studyload. 8bit 02:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah. If it always turns out not to be enough time, do what I do for FF8 - watch YouTube. :p. Drake Clawfang 03:18, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Kimahri guide
I created a guide on how to use Kimahri in Final Fantasy X (I just got tired of people constantly complaining about how he sucks.) I have it finished (with three different ways you can customize him, with the possibility of more being added if any users request it) and was wondering if it was okay to post that its completed on the Shinra News? Here it is if you wish to have a look Exdeath64 00:24, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- That's because Kimahri does suck. Drake Clawfang 00:41, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- No character sucks. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 00:44, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Absolutely. Everything is in how you use something. I mean, the way I play, Lulu sucks and I'd pick Kimahri over her any day.--Werefang
[T/A] 00:47, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- I used Kimahri. I did. Developed his sphere grid and all that. Found him totally useless. Lulu and Yuna had stronger magic, Auron had stronger attacks, Tidus and Wakka had better speed and accuracy, and Rikku....well aside from Stealing she wasn't all that useful either. He was useless to me. Drake Clawfang 00:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- I mostly use Tidus, Auron and Yuna and sometimes Lulu. But Kimahri is more useful then Cait Sith and especially Umaro. ZEROX (C) 00:58, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmz. Usually, announcements for userworks are limited to elaborate walkthroughs. I, however, by no means control the Shinra News, but I'm leaning towards the negative response. Since my talk page has become almost forum-like in this section, I'd advise creating a forum in Zi'tah about this with the premise of arguing for the Ronso's competency. It would allow people to reply to it, like they've done here. 8bit 02:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Right then, understood, sorry it took so long to respond to this, College life has been catching up on me. (And Clawfang, did you even look at the guide? I posted three separate ways you could make him fairly competent.)Exdeath64 02:45, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
Yes I read about how you make him good by getting him into everyone else's sphere grid. Here's an idea - use the party members already there! I don't need Kimahri to be a thief, I already have one. I don't need him to be a Black Mage, I've got one of those too. Kimahri sucks based on principal - his niche is that he doesn't have a niche. And if his only purpose in battle is to fulfill any purpose needed, then he has no true purpose at all. ie, he sucks. Drake Clawfang 03:14, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] You poked me
Jerk. Did you need something? It was yesterday and I was asleep I think. --Gamer2127 20:05, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
Ummm no. You're still using irc.wikia.com I'm guessing. Once you close that, everything that had been said can't be recovered. If you posted it in the open chat then I more than likely have logs of it. Otherwise there's nothing you can do. --Gamer2127 19:36, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
- Wait, you're talking about how to get the timestamp to show up? That's simple. When your irc tab is open, click the hammer in the top right corner. Then just check the timestamps box. Then they'll appear, and you can copy and paste with timestamps 'till the cows come home. --Gamer2127 19:41, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] BL's userpage
I saw the vandalism on her userpage a little earlier. The IP has the same IP as JudgeZarbi. Myself and NeoBahamut just compared IP's to someone claming to have talked to me today. They were the same. On that basis, I request you block both the IP and JZ. 1stclasswarrior 22:04, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Award Templates
This is something I was talking to Faethin about on the IRC, and he told me to notify you. The basic idea is recurring the Award system. What we came up with was this:
- The White Mage award for link-fixing, spelling and grammar, and general maintenance
- The Black Mage award for massive, large-scale edits
- The Warrior award for vandal-fighting
- The Monk award for uploading and working with images
- The Red Mage award for work with tables, templates, formatting, etc
- The Thief award for updating pages and Shinra News with information
As Faethin said, users would nominate other users, and the staff would give out two awards a month.
What do you think? Drake Clawfang 03:19, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Also, Here. Scathemote has also suggested that the Thief award could be for helping and welcoming new users. In general, I think the Thief class is hard to apply to any Wikiwork, so if you have any ideas on what else it could be for, please share. Drake Clawfang 03:47, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps the Thief award could be for more community-oriented pages? I.e. working on Final Fantasy Wiki: Pages, Shinra News like you said, assisting others on their talk pages contributing helpfully to forums, etc. But jah, I am liking. Staff emprises mods + admins, yes? I'm thinking there should eb a private way to have the actual discussion of the awardees... on IRC, maybe. 8bit 00:25, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- That's a good idea for Thief. And yeah, it would be Mods and Admins both I'm assuming. I'll talk to Fae. Drake Clawfang 00:39, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
I was thinking of making a forum to announce the Awards may be coming next month, explain how they'll work and see what the members think. That okay? Drake Clawfang 19:30, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Good idea! Go ahead. Didn't I say I was going to do that? And then I forgot? D: 8bit 19:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] IX Jobs
Are you sure there was no Job system? There's Job fields in the Character boxes and they're on the Job pages. Drake Clawfang 03:22, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Which I hate. Kain Highwind is on the Dragoon page; does IV have a job system? The keyword is SYSTEM. IX has no interchangeable job system. 8bit 03:31, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Not all games have Job "Systems", but they may still have Job "Classes". IV and VI each give clearly defined titles to each character. Like, Celes is a Rune Knight, etc. Drake Clawfang 03:40, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- From the MoS: An Appearances section, which list appropriate traits for the job as it appeared in each game that had a job/class system only. System. The difference is that in a class system game, multiple characters can choose job. You cannot choose what job Rydia or Vivi is. I would completely efface the "Job" section on IX templates if I could. I think DSS was going to attempt to integrate pages and get rid of (Job) pages, as in Knight (Job) simply is named "Knight", where every Knight appearance, job or no, is listed. However, we're not going halfway with this. Either we go by job systems and ONLY the system, or we completely rehaul what we take our (Job) pages to mean. This would, ultimately result in their tagless assimilation, as with the Knight example I gave you. 8bit 03:50, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- I would rather we keep the Jobs on their separate pages among games. The Job pages like say, Knight (Final Fantasy III) and Knight (Final Fantasy V), have extensive coverage of the Job's specific abilities in that one game. This would make it rather bloated if it were all on a single page.
- As for the Job titles, looking at the IV and VI character boxes, they have fields for the character's Job Title too. I think the best thing to do would be to keep the Job "titles", but not count the games as having Job Systems. Drake Clawfang 03:59, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Look at Blue Mage, Drake. I think a setup like this might be ideal. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 04:02, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- EDIT CONFLICT:In what DSS envisioned, yes, those seperate pages would still exist. The difference would be that Knight (Job) ceases to exist and is combined into the Knight page along with non-job occurences of Knights. So each game-specific job still has its own page, yes; they're just listed along with a larger set of related terms on the Knight page.
- Jobs in the Final Fantasy series imply a gameplay system. I have never considered IV, VI, or IX to have a job systems, nor do I consider their respective characters to have jobs, hence my desire to expunge those "title" sections from their character infobox templates. Include Strago and a Final Fantasy V Blue Mage on the same page if you wish. Just don't imply they function the same way gameplay-wise, because they don't. Strago has no business being mentioned on a page with the (Job) tag; this Blue Mage page makes everything happy by just covering Blue Mages as a whole. 8bit 04:09, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
I'm confused 8-Bit. There is no "Knight (Job)" page, so....huh? You're not making any sense. And I lost my reply to DSS earlier without realizing it was an edit conflict. Listing Strago, Quistis, etc, in the Appearances section, I'm okay with that. The only complaint I have is that with such things normally given in the Job's Profile section, it seems a bit unneeded Drake Clawfang 04:22, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- ....................................8bit is stupid. There haven't been any (Job) pages for quite some time now... the only ones left are those that absolutely need to be differentiated, like Black Mage (Job) because of the band and race in IX. Funny how one of the only (Job) pages left is one that I'm named after, as I used to think these things were prevalent. I guess if you really want to put character appearances under the appearances section, like in the Blue Mage section, go ahead, it should be consistent. Yeah, 8bit is stupid. Sorry. Which means now I guess I can't axe those sections in the templates. Still... I'd much rather have them listed up top as "notable examples".... but that's just my own preference. You guys are doing a good job of fixing stuff while I'm confused and behind the times over here. 8bit 04:31, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- EDIT CONFLICT: But if what I gather from 8bit is correct, those aren't appearances since those games don't have the job system and thus shouldn't be listed on the page. Are we going to have to replace "Strago is a Blue Mage" with "Strago resembles a Blue Mage"? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 04:34, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Strago specifically, no, his Job "Title" in VI Advance is "Blue Mage". Drake Clawfang 04:39, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Fine, bad example. Use Quistis, then. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 04:40, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Quistis? Yeah, no official job for her. I'm thinking for FF7, FF8, and FF10, we put "-Character- is not officially given a job class, but has similar abilities". Like for Quistis, on the Blue Mage page we put "Quistis is not given a specific job class, but is able to cast Blue Magic". Just a sort of "technically this character has no job, but you could consider them to have this one". This would not apply to FF2 and FF12 though, as under their battle systems any character can be whatever you want them to be. The character jobs in 7, 8 and 10 are a bit easier to discern. Drake Clawfang
- It might also be a good idea to write these guidelines down on a policy page somewhere. "Wiki policy on job classes". Drake Clawfang 04:46, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Rune Knight would be a better example. Don't use "main" for people like Quistis and Strago. And in games that don't use the job system, write about how they are used in the game. For example, Summoners and Black Mages usually have a major impact on the game, so the section shouldn't focus on the character/s who is/are a summoner/s but more on summoners in that game. This won't work in a lot of cases, like Cid Highwind/Dragoon because there aren't any other Dragoons in the game. But where you can... ILHI (W/B) 14:50, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Class Coding
I have to report a mistake for the class="FFVIIb" background colour. Currently FFVIIb is #00FFFF. It should be #B0C4DE. Jeppo (Talk) 19:37, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
- Errm, oops? I clearly skimmed over this when looking at it here. ILHI (W/B) 19:50, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
- It's fixed. Thanks Jepp! 8bit 20:33, October 16, 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. Also, I'm up to Template:FFXIIIcompl and I can't find the class code for the FFXIII compilation. Is there a class code for that? Jeppo (Talk) 10:48, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, it seems the Fabula Nova Compilation doesn't have a designated color swatch yet. I'm okay with the current colors; I'll put something on the template talk page and see if anyone cares. I also need to alter the table section in the MoS... 8bit 18:45, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Admin Help
As you may or may not be aware, I am temporarily losing my Wi-Fi. Which means I need a new admin to take over at the Mother wiki. The only problem is...I cannot figure out HOW to bestow adminship onto another user. I already know who I am promoting, I just can't figure out HOW to. If you could let me know how to do so, I would appreciate it. Exdeath64 19:27, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Do you mean Template:PMm, Template:PMl, Template:PMb, and Template:PMs? Those were part of a (failed) test to have alternating templates, so they're useless. The codes themselves are still on my userpage, so delete those pages at will. (I thought by now they were deleted.)

Alright, what the heck? You just deleted Sabrina. Not cool. Pikmin Master 03:54, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- Final Fantasy Wiki:Media#Copyrighted Images. Sorry, PM, but I can't treat your image different from any other non-Square copyrighted images. 8bit 04:09, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- 8bit, small, low quality images are allowed for avatars on the wiki, or so Bluer told me. It's preferred that you use Photobucket, but either is fine. — YuanSalve!Acta 05:01, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- Except Pikmin Master was using it for his talk template, not his avatar. Faethinte audio 05:07, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, that's what I meant. Talk template avatar. — YuanSalve!Acta 05:17, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- So are they allowed or not? The policy page says that they definitely are not, so it should be changed if we are changing our position. PM's image was not small nor low-quality; it was only shrunk to fit the parameters of the talk template. I do not think that just because an image is "only" used for a talk template (many times they sneak onto userpages) that it should be given the green flag... or at least I don't understand the rationale behind that. 8bit 16:19, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

| Okay..... Xeno.....? Don't kill me, okay? Don't stab me with template code and then take my spot T-T
But I'm wondering if these templates are superfluous (in an abject 180 turn from my "lovely" comment). Maybe just a category would be fine.... because if you make an ability template, you need to put every single ability on there. For games like V/TA/TA2, with thousands of abilities, that would get cluttered. Perhaps we should only have the ability templates contain skillsets rather than individual abilities? But that won't work everywhere... meh.
Look, do this only if you have a general interest in doing it. I didn't express agreement for these templates so you could throw yourself into them and blame me for it ^^
But otherwise, I do like how you've structured the templates. There's a definite break between Magic and other Abilities in the IX template; I note you simply link to Seiken without linking to all the abilities in Seiken, which I think is good. Maybe you can do that for Magic as well, should magic be grouped into clear-cut categories as in IX.

| I had to take me frustration out on someone. Might as well be the higher up .V. (j/k ^_^).
Anywho, the reason I have all of the spells there is because of how the FFX Ability Template is. And the problem with the templates, aside from what you mentioned, will be doing them for games such as FFVII for instance. Also yes.....very cluttered. But they can't be anymore cluttered than the current Abilities template I suppose....problem is, how do you categorize such abilities if you're going to categorize them? It's a very touchy subject in a way I think....and is probably going to take more than just me and a couple other people to handle right I think ^^;;

| Perhaps this should be made known to more people, then? Forumspace it? Then we'll know if people consider it useful or not. This is mainly for organization content; it's not like a differing matter of opinion on a controversial topic, so I wouldn't expect any fighting over it. If people want to make the templates, well, go wild.

| I suppose so, though I don't visit the forums very often so I wouldn't know what would be going down (nor would I remember the topic being there). If you could, set up the topic there and see what people say. In the meantime, I shall go on my Wikibreak that I need (though it probably won't last that long now that ILHI said to make a page for each ability x_x. Then again, I could leave that to someone else, but odds are that it might not get done. I hate things not being done >_<).
