Ungaah! It is I, your favorite and beautiful despot, Emperor Mateus. As you, my fabulous citizens, obviously require entertainment (Because TV hasn't been invented yet), I have graced you with this arena. I mean, besides getting ruled under my iron fist, what else do you have to do? Since those hideous rebels destroyed the Dreadnought, your gambling airship of love, this is all you have left. But rejoice! We will enjoy ourselves!
Before you is the epitome of brutality. Hundreds of scoundrels from across the world, gathered here to fight for your pleasure! Not to mention regular slaughters and even holiday specials! In fact, in the comment stands, you can even comment on the fight and your glorious country, without fear of censorship! Yes, that's right - freedom of speech! * You must be honored to have an excellent ruler such as myself.
And, because the last time I raised taxes, there were massacres punished riots, that is out of the question. So, the only solution is for you to visit these other government-sponsored events! * Check them out and Nominate new fights so we can keep showing them!
Hey, their faces actually look really similar... Jimcloud 22:25, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
For me, this is not a difficult decision. 22:39, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
I dropped Durarara some time ago, but may give it another try later. From what I've seen Masaomi really is a lot like Zidane, I liked him. However, we are talking about Zidane here, the FF god of awesomeness himself! No one can beat him (only a selected few, who are not from FF though)! --RazielZero 22:49, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
Eh, this guy needs it more, and DRRR is epic anime. NeoZEROX 22:19, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

a) Durarara!! is awesome incarnate. b) Erm... anyone who's played Dissidia or Duodecim would know that ANY of the main characters or antagonists from the first 13 games, plus a few extra characters could beat Zidane. Jim, you be surprise how much these two are alike, there a reason I suggest this fight, even though I know Zidane will win. NeoZEROX 22:33, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
@King Nothing: Umm, in Dissidia/012 you can beat anyone with anyone. I mean a good Zidane player can easily beat any of the other characters. It all depends on the skill of the player (or players if you don't play against computer). I think that all the characters are fairly balanced, except maybe 1 or 2, and even then they are still beatable. --RazielZero 14:23, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
Well in that case I guess this List from the dissidia forums is junk right?. I don't know how he's performing in dissidia 012 these days but apparently in Dissidia he kicked ass. Razordash22:25, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
The whole thing about "any main series hero or villain and some side characters can kick Zidane's ass" was me poking a hole in your point about "Zidane is god of awesomeness and hardly anybody can beat him." Granted, I haven't beaten IX yet (although I do actually own it now), but given my current point of progress.... Squall, Cloud, Tidus, and Cecil were each far more devastating at the equivalent points in their games. But, going with your theory about Zidane being the uberbadass, who are the few people you would say can beat him, RazielZero? King NothingWhere's your crown? 12:02, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

Also, all the characters are not fairly balanced *points at Shantotto for generally sucking (which suits her), Feral Chaos for not having enough CP, Tidus for being too damn awesome (with his Quick Hit chains), and Squall for being way too damn awesome with his combos.* King NothingWhere's your crown? 12:12, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
*SN destroys Mecha by using Play Rough* Disrespecting Shantotto; is your head full of fluff!? -- ShantottoNobody, 16:36, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
No, I just don't like Shantotto. She her in-battle quotes are annoying, her stupid rhyme fetish is annoying, and her EX-Burst is too complicated to remember in a pinch, and her playstyle is just plain awkward. King NothingWhere's your crown? 18:45, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
Mech... that's only your opinion. Quite Frankly believe it or not Feral Chaos right now is proving to be over-powering despite his crazy CP cost, he's officially banned from tournaments since the first tournament was a joke. Squall is proving to be very good, but Tidus and his "awesome quickhit" is agreed upon by most experts on the dissidia forums to "not be that awesome" due to it's long start ups time which can only be used for counter-attacking since the attacks can be easily blocked. and Tidus only has one safe poking attack in Hot-Step. Other than that feel free to wail on me. Razordash12:11, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
True, it is only my opinion, but my opinion is based on my experience. I like having certain mobility upgrades available on my characters, and I generally like them to have a full moveset as well. Take Feral Chaos's size into account, which makes using him difficult in some of my preferred levels (such as Magicite Factory/Tower/whatever, Phantom Train, Pandaemonium, etc.), and I find him to be, well... not nearly as effective as I'd like him to be. The fact that all his attacks have Wall Rush is somewhat annoying too, because it means that on some levels, you can't initiate chase sequences. As for Tidus - granted, I haven't really done much multiplayer, but given that I can set it up so that ANY brave attack can chain into HP damage, I find him to be pretty darn good... actually, even a bit better than his old man, at least when it comes to BRV battle. King NothingWhere's your crown? 18:45, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
Firstly, Shantotto's EX Burst is one of the easiest to pull off perfectly; certainly, it's easier than all of those requiring multiple button combinations (which is about, what, half of them?), as well as Tifa's and Laguna's (which are somewhat awkward) and any that require timing (e.g. Squall, Ultimecia, Tidus, Jecht). Secondly, stop picking on the rhymes; I grow tired of seeing this hate so many times. Thirdly, I'll concede a certain degree of awkwardness in Shantotto's style... but only if your expectations for using her are flawed. Personally, I like the fact that hers is one of the most unique styles – certainly, it makes her much more interesting than, say, Tifa.
On the subject of Feral Chaos's attack properties, I think you'll find that he can initiate Chase. In fact, every single one of his BRV attacks can. So if you're getting Wall Rush every time, it's just you being too slow to react after landing the hit. Why not try Auto-Chase, hmm? Certainly, it can be very difficult in small arenas, but not impossible. I'm pretty sure I've had him initiate Chase ridiculously close to a wall before now -- SorcerorNobody 21:30, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
Tifa's EX Burst is awkward, but Squall's, Tidus's, and Jecht's are actually pretty easy. Secondly, I will NOT stop hating the rhymes, because Etrigan is the only one who, IMO, can really pull it off. On the subject of Feral Chaos, Yes, I KNOW every attack has Chase AND Wall Rush. The fact remains that a lot of times, EVEN WITH AUTO-CHASE, I find myself on a damn small stage (Edge of Madness and Phantom Train being the perfect examples), the damn wall just isn't far enough away for Wall Rush to be ignored and activate Chase. King NothingWhere's your crown? 12:07, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't say Squall's, Ultimecia's, Tidus's and Jecht's were difficult in absolute terms, just that they're not as simple as Shantotto's. No timing at all is always easier than any timing, even if the timing is also easy -- SorcerorNobody 17:01, October 10, 2011 (UTC)
For someone who never played XI and doesn't care to AND has trouble remembering EX Bursts that are more complicated than timing or "press this button now!", Shantotto's is just too damn hard. Couldn't have kept it simple like Onion Knight's, could they? King NothingWhere's your crown? 12:09, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
So basically, it is too hard for people who are too ignorant/stupid to give a good game a chance and/or remember a simple sequence of things? Not to be rude, though I most likely am, but in that case it is clearly just you who is lacking skill, and not that the thing is difficult whatsoever. Also, if they kept it like Onion Knight, it would be boring and just another copy. This way, it is at the very least original. MirrorshardSceada 12:40, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
I've noticed that we keep butting heads, you and I. Anyway, let me put it this way - even if I wanted to play FFXI, I couldn't, because I don't have a computer that could run it without ten-minute loading times. And the sequence trouble is a result of ADHD, (expletive deleted). The Emperor's, Kefka's, Gabranth's, and Gilgamesh's EX Bursts are original, but they're not half the headache Shantotto's is. King NothingWhere's your crown? 13:42, October 11, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't mean the "no one can beat him" thing as in fighting and Dissidia or whatever. It's just that out of all the FF characters he is the one whose personality, abilities, fighting style and appearance I like the most. I know that if it was a real fight a lot of the other characters could beat him. I just have a kind of a list of the characters from different games/movies/anime I like the most. It's not about fighting power but rather awesomeness (in my opinion of course). If you really want to know I can tell you some of them, like Lelouch (Code Geass) and my namesake Raziel (Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver). Sorry if I may have over-exaggerated it a bit and caused a misunderstanding. --RazielZero 16:02, October 8, 2011 (UTC)
Lelouch, agreed. See also: Simon the Digger and Kamina (Gurren Lagann), Haruko Haruhara (FLCL), Shinji Ikari (Rebuild of Evangelion), Aya Brea (Parasite Eve), Superman (Pre-Crisis), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner), and The Incredible Hulk (Grey Hulk, not the Green one). And yet others, as well. King NothingWhere's your crown? 18:45, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

There are plenty of choice fights, like Kain vs Jecht, Kamina vs Coop, stuff like that. Why not just put up one of those fights, instead of disliking fights that are put up for your voting public and putting uncreative fights in its place. SidVI 08:36, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
No, no, that's not it, guys. Please don't think of me negatively, but I try to put up fights related at least somewhat to FF, because I've found that it gets me more votes on average then other fights, especially if related to popular characters or aspects. But I see this isn't getting me anywhere, so...from now on, for the first time in ever your friendly neighborhood Emperor is going to listen to the public and try to appoint fights with more of an open mind... yaaay! And you guys who spoke against me won't be executed... for now --ShirubaKurono 21:58, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
