I'm an Australian, I'm a guy. Caucasion, 192 centimeters in height with brownish blond hair. I'm a martial art enthusiast, meaning I practise and study martial arts when and where I can and right now I'm fairly confident in handling myself against most black belts in my region.
Final Fantasy VIII was the first FF I played, so I guess it makes sense that it is the one I know most about. Years onward I experienced other titles ranging from the Nes and SuperNes games to FFX and X-2.
As a gamer I am the proud owner of several consoles:
Nintendo (original), Super Nintendo, Sega, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Gameboy Color, Gamecube, X-box and have experienced, if not possess a copy of, some of the landmark games of videogame history (Super Mario Bros (original), Legend of Zelda (original), StarFox (original), Pokemon (Red & Blue), Halo, Super Smash Bros, Final Fantasy VII, Goldeneye, etc).
Right now I'm studying videogame conceptual creation and animation in QANTM university, Brisbane.
My attraction to the FF series is probably to do with its fascinating ability to produce 'sequels' that are original and innovative but still have the same feel and slight familiarity that make it part of the previous games.
The stories, worlds and designs are amazingly advanced for whatever the time of release is and they seldom fail to disappoint.
Though again, due to my growing in the FF7 and FF8 era, the flying ships do take some getting used to ^^'.
Some other notes that impress me:
The FF7 villian Sephiroth is always listed among the top videogame villians. (Along with Bowser (Mario Bros) and Ganondorf (Zelda)) A testiment to his character design and story. (sorry Kefka fans)
Cloud and/or Squall almost always appear where there is a FF cameo in another game. (Kingdom Hearts, Itadaki Street, Chocobo Racing)(think that perhaps they will appear in Smash Bros. one day?)
The fact that the first enstallment saved its producing company (Square) from bankruptcy. (1987)
