[edit] Summary
Here's a message someone dropped at my mailbox that other day, he wants me to broadcast it:
"Me hate broccoly, me think they suck. Me also hate carrots, because they taste weird... Last week me sent him a letter and the next day me went to this man's house,me then found carrots and broccolly in his fridge. Me then took a butter knife and slowly cut the man's throat with it. Me then use the entrails as me christmass decoration before sending a letter to a random man who me will kill.
Me"
Weird huh?

[edit] Leon's Cave
Time for a change. Three awesome versions of an already awesome game.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: A3 (Awesome 3)
Now, WAIT!! Before moaning, THIS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH FFTA and FFTA2. In fact, it's an alternate (badass) version(s) of FFT. One where Ramza and his constipated voice are not the protagonists. Instead it will show 3 protagonists (hence the Awesome 3)
Alas, no matter how I do, I can never make the 3 badasses in a game, so I'll make three versions of a different version of a game. If your head haven't exploded yet, here are the 3 (awesome) protagonists of the 3 games:
- Wiegraf, the Just.
- Dycedarg, the cunning.
- Gaffagrion, the batshit insane.
But let us start with the 1st, the one being closest to the real Final Fantasy Tactics. Let us start with...
The Tragic Tale of Wiegraf.
Now despite being one of the most batshit crazy boss of Final Fantasy, Wiegraf does have good potential to be a protagonist: Peasantry fighting for freeeeedooooom, dead relatives, great failure in the 1st chapter, shell shocked veteran. And many more.
The battle system is practically the same with FFT, with Wiegraf's boys are the remnants of the Corpse Brigade and the Knights Templar. But there is a change: Morale. If a unit "dies" in battle often, his morale drops, if he have, say zero morale, he quits the party. On the other hand, having the party leader kill ten enemies in one hit boosts the morale, and so does winning a fight. And another thing is to have the male unit hang around in strip bars and the female units in shopping malls or something.
Oh, and Knight Templar is a starting job for your units who are... Knights Templars.
Let's start the story with...
Chapter 1: The Meager.
This chapter is basically the COMPLETE ripoff of the FFT one. Minus the Delita angst. This is because it's a tutorial chapter, so the units and everything wont matter. It is also to show the player what Ramza has done to the Corpse Brigade and to show that not even the heroes are saints.
Recommended to be half as long, we dont want you to be too attached to the not-protagonists, would we?
Chapter 2: The Tragic
This where the real game starts. We starts with Wiegraf praying on his sister's tomb, before having what's left of his corpse brigade rushing in and inform him that the Northern Sky are approaching.
Your units will have the same amount of JP, Level, Experience and all from Ramza's unit in the previous chapter by coincidence. But your men (and women) are much more battle suited and you have less money.
For a good half of this chapter, Wiegraf will spend his time heading east, away from he Northern Order, while picking up Ex-Corpse brigades on the way.
Oh, and errands are useful. You can use the artifacts in battle. Like for example, the Trident is a water damaging spear, and the Breads permanently raise a unit's HP by 200 when eaten, and the books teaches some spells or techniques on a permanent basis (meaning the book wont vanish after you use it once.) ect. And Wonders are dungeons used to get even more special equipments and characters.
Now, back to the plot: After going for a while, the Brigade are blocked by the Templars, they cant keep going east, to the Pope's territory, they cant go north, to the Southern (Irony...) Sky's territory, they cant head South since there's only water there, and they definitely cant head West.
So what do we do? We head West. This is more of a mini boss fight where your men will fight shitload amount of Northern Sky knights. In the end, your men are imprisoned, Wiegraf escaped and started to cry on his sister's tomb again, cursing his bad luck. That's when he'll meet a Templar and starts the pact with the devil. Now we'll spend the other half of this chapter attacking Eagrose and free your men. (Oh, and you can deploy EVERY men you have in a battle. No more pesky rule of 5.) After freeing his men, he accepts the Templar's help and so does starts...
Chapter 3: The Badass.
This chapter have of both Wiegraf doing the Church's dirty work and scoring a vendetta with Ramza. This is also where you can hire Gaffgarion after his defeat. With Gaffagrion, not only you rocks, but we can get to Ramza much faster. Without him, you're a dumbass and you gotta do it the hard way.
This is where Wiegraf proves himself to the Church. Plan Mustadio's dad's capture, all you, plan the "waterfall" incident, all you, start the war between the two Orders, All you! In the end, you are rewarded with an awesome skillset and most of all... The ARIES stone, which you CAN use!
The Zodiac stones: You can use them (unlike that two bit Ramza) and in return, your character will become BATSHIT POWERFUL. Even at the endgame, an Esper really is a powerhouse (I'm looking at you, FFXII...) The catch? Every other units in the field, be it friends or foe, looks alike. But, hey, at least you can get your Demon bitches to replace the mortals.
After all other chores, Wiegraf heads towards the place where he will have his Mano y Mano with Ramza. Oh, and here, the two useless Seers? They both die. Why, not only do they suck, but they RUINED the whole Zodiac Braves mythology. The male Seer should be dead, but nooo the stone helped him back. The the girl seer told Ramza that the stone's arent evil, it just manifests itself from the user's soul. But that's contradictory! Dycadarg and Wiegraf aren't evil, yet they become monster! And if that's true, then why wont Ramza use the stone to be Jesus? He's not evil! Hell, I bet those Seers are the evil ones, you cant be that pathetic without having an evil plans.
Now that's off my chest, let's get back. Wiegraf won, but Ramza flees. But Wiegraf, in his drunken Esper rage, killed a member of Ramza's party who was once Wiegraf's fiance (she's actually Agrias, she needs more depth) So the results: Not only Ramza vowed revenge for a friend's death, Wiegraf blamed the church for his situation. And so does Wiegraf cut it's ties with the church.
If a Templar who have Morale of less than.. say... sixty, will lave Wiegraf for his desertion, but any more and they will stay loyal to him.
Chapter 4: The Vagabond
Without sides, and friends, Wiegraf's boys are mere mercenaries on the run from the Northern Order, the Church and Ramza. This is where he'll meet Beowulf Cadmus, Balthier and other awesome sideway characters. In the end, he got caught between the Southern and Norther Order's fight when they are seeking refuge in Besselat. So what they'll do? They'll end the freaking war. How? The same way Ramza did. But this time, after you open the sluice, you meet Ramza (who are late for his part), and you, and your men simply wants revenge and fights them. You lose, you flee and you ends up with the just escaped, on the run Cidolfus Orlandeau. After a campfire together, Wiegraf realized despite his noble blood, Cid is a noble man who wants to end the suffering and destroy the church. HEY! Another awesome ally! Now, with a couple of Zodiac Stones, you are on a mission to stop the Templars. And 1st choice: Marquis Eldmore, the man who abducted Alma.
So here it is, yadada, on a assassination mission, and then! PAF! You meet Ramza, about to rescue his sister.
The enemy of my enemy is my ally, right? WRONG! You just go on a three way fight between Eldmore and Ramza. Oh, and if Cid's morale is less than 70, he goes to Ramza's party. YOU. DONT. WANT. THAT. TO HAPPEN.
Then you killed Eldmore, and have Ramza's admiration despite your earlier's attempt to kill him and you go your separate way. What am I kidding? After killing Zalera, Wiegraf goes straight for Ramza, but the kid escaped, and here you are, chasing him.
Chapter 5: The Hunter.
This goes the same, Wiegraf hunts down Ramza, who in turn leads him to the Churches. This leads him to Eagrose, where he killed Dycedarg for what he did to the Brigade. Some fights here and there until we go to the ending. Here you are, Ramza on one side, freeing his sister, you on another, avenging yours and Folfamrv on the other, killing everyone. After beating Ramza (not killing him) you realized it wont change anything and yadada boring morals (He's not the Cunning or the Batshit Crazy) so, now, on his sister's name, he's going to destroy Ultima instead of Ramza, since He knows it's a one way trip. If your men have less than 70 morale, they wont follow you to the death.
You beat Ultima, and ironically killed Ramza's sister in doing so (she's Ultima's host). And an Eye for an Eye later, Wiegraf, with is sheer badassery, cut the very reality itself and allows his men and Alma's corpse to get out of the dimension. But this weakens him greatly and he cant leave, so he died a heroic, lonely death in the Airship Graveyeard.
Ending
Ramza, grieved of his sister's death, but honoured to have a valiant man like Wiegraf in doing it, became the head of the Northern Order and the remainder of the Wiegraf's Brigade are either returning home with heroic rewards and recognition, or being the very elites of the Order. As we see each major character's ending (Balthier going back to Awesome Ivalice, Cidolfus being the Duke of Goltana, ect...), including some Generics (like meeting his/her families, leading men, retiring a happy man, ect) the credits goes.
But, as the great Balthier so famously said "heroes never dies" and indeed, after that very quote wqs said from that very man, after the ending, we see in the horizon a Knight in Shining armour and divine lights. It's Wiegraf, the new Saint Ajora and the all around badass.
THE END
Next Stop: DYCEDARG, The Cunning's version.
