Public Service Announcement
Edit
I'm taking a sort of hiatus from the FFWiki. I'm still lurking, but not editing very much. At the moment, I'm busy helping with the Wheel of Time Wiki[1]. I'll be back eventually though.
Another Announcement
Edit
I would like to point out that Vancouver is in fact not the capital of British Columbia. My city, Victoria, is. Got it? Victoria is the capital. It is on Vancouver Island, not in Vancouver. It is across the straight from Vancouver. Victoria. Got it? Thank you.
About Me
Edit
You can just call me Johnny or Jon. (Not 'John', however. Never that!)
I grew up and live in British Columbia, Canada, the land of free health care and P2P lawsuit protection. My interests outside my bedroom include swimming, cross-county, track and field, tennis, badminton, movies, and just chilling with my buds. On days that I decide to have no social life, I like to draw, play video games, stare at this computer screen, watch more movies, and read. Otherwise, I'm either at school or at work.
Gaming
Edit
My first gaming console was a Playstation which I received when I was 8. The first game was A Bug's Life, one of my favorites, which was soon joined on that list by the original Spyro The Dragon trilogy.
The story finally started, however, when I was 11, and I was lent Final Fantasy VIII. I became immediately attached to the series and quickly got my own copy. And then that's when the fun began.

My competitive athletic life is on and off, depending on the season. I'm an endurance athlete, and take part in cross-country, track and field, swimming, and occasionally the odd of game of tennis or badminton. As most of these seasons are quite short, I compensate with various athletic courses at school to keep myself in shape.

Superbosses
Edit
While I have completed every mainstream Final Fantasy game's storyline, I do not pretend to have felled every superboss. Often it's because they require a lot of leveling which I am not prepared to put in a lot of time into right away, and so they wait. Note; I'm only listing the main-series ones here.

Game standings (Main Series)
Edit

1: Final Fantasy VIII
This was the first Final Fantasy game I played. Coincidentally, Squall ended up becoming my favorite character in the series. I really liked the futuristic aspect of this game and enjoyed the military structure and back story.

2: Final Fantasy IX This game was a really fun one. The mini games were amusing and I was pumped for the huge use of Black Mages and Moogles. (The part where they replace Omega Weapon with a giant, multi-coloured bouncy ball was the only down-side to this game.)

Added by Oranejo3: Final Fantasy VII I know this would usually be a lot of peoples' #1, but it's not quite that up there for me. Although this game DID have my favorite antagonist (Sephiroth) and the materia system was pretty interesting.

4: Final Fantasy VI This was another very fun one, rather than epic. Like IX, it bordered the line between explosive and cute. I really enjoyed the humongous cast as well, as well as the large storyline involvement of the Espers.

Added by FFfangirl5: Final Fantasy IV Really liked the story line and the large cast of playable characters. I also found it very refreshing to not have to brainstorm on which characters or jobs I should be using at any given point.

6: Final Fantasy There's something that's just undeniably great about the original game. Sometimes such simplicity is golden.

Added by Born from Darkness7: Final Fantasy XIII I really had a lot of fun with this one, but I had to throw it somewhere in the rankings.

Added by Squal7: Final Fantasy X This is the median line. Don't love it, don't hate it. Wasn't the most memorable of the series, and a little easy, but it was still a good story line.
Added by Cloud Strife8: Final Fantasy XII The main problem here was the monotony of travel. With such large spaces between each destination in the storyline, getting anywhere took quite a while. Furthermore, if your characters were underleveled, the game was actually TORTURE. I had to take a good hiatus from the plot to power-level a bit before being able to continue. Also, the storyline seemed a little weak. The more obvious, political aspect is a little more clear, but nearing the end of the game, everything becomes confusing, with little being explained. Plus, where was the love interest?!

Added by Paramina9: Final Fantasy II It was alright. It DID have the first complete story line in the series, but as far as it went, it could've had a little more...pizazz?

Added by Artwork010: Final Fantasy III I sort of found this one bland. Still the same ol' crystals being destroyed and letting in the evil. It might have been because I played the DS version, which tried to give a little background to the generic characters, but it didn't work out well. I found that the characters have to be completely generic, like the classicalness of the original, or be completely the story like later games. The in-between didn't work well.

11: Final Fantasy V This one was the blandest of the bland for me. I don't know why, but it just never caught me up in excitement at all while playing it...
