—Description

Astos is one of the villains fighting for the side of Chaos in Dissidia 014 Final Fantasy. Astos is a sneaky, agile elf and will constantly shy away from battling and then resurface to surprise and ambush foes. He wields 2 daggers that he uses in battle - but sparingly. He stands, as with Garland opposing the Warrior of Light and Princess Sarah.

AttireEdit

Astos’ default appearance is loosely based on his normal sprite appearance. He has moss green skin with white hair and dark purple ripped trousers. He wields two small daggers that are pale blue in colour in his hands.

His Alt 1 is called ‘Light Elf’ and is based on the concept of Astos but as a Light Elf rather than a Dark Elf. He has a magnolia skin and brown neat trousers. He wields red daggers in his hands.

His Alt 2 is called ‘Woodland Monarch’ which gives him silver robes around his body that are ripped and he is adorned with jewels around his neck. His daggers are silver in colour.

His DLC is called ‘Royal Illusion’ in which he dons the disguise of the King of Cornelia. His appearance is based almost directly on the appearance of him as an illusion. He has long silvery hair and long lengthy golden robes with various jewels all over. He has 2 very long daggers in his hand which are golden in colour and adorned in rubies.

BattleEdit

Astos is described as an Agile Acrobat. He uses a combination of moves to change his size and his position from his foe before hitting them with weak attacks. Astos is lethal when mastered but the difficulty of mastering him is great and he has weak attacks which are not very strong or reliable. Due to his speed and agility, Astos is useful against slow, brutish opponents like Garland and Exdeath however, when faced with a fast opponent like himself such as Onion Knight or Freelancer his speed and trapping attacks become useless as they can be outrun and when faced with another opponent who can change their distance and are long range such as Kuja or Ultimecia, he again becomes vulnerable as his attacks are predominantly short range.
