The Unknown is an enemy from Final Fantasy VII. It appears to be a deformed biological experiment being transported in the Gelnika. The Unknown can be morphed into a Power Source, used to upgrade a character's Strength stat. Fire Armlets and Light Curtains can also be obtained from them.

StrategyEdit

It mainly uses powerful physical attacks, so staying in the back row or using Barrier or Big Guard is useful to avoid taking too much damage. It is ideal to inflict Sleep and then attack it with spells such as Trine or Aqualung, rather than fight it physically. One should not use Beta or Magic Breath as it will absorb them. If the player chooses to fight physically, a good strategy would be to have a character with both Cover and Counterattack equipped, then have that character in the back row constantly defending, while another party member attacks and another heals. Once the Unknown's HP drops below 50%, it will start to attack using Blaster, which inflicts magic damage to one party member. All Unknowns are vulnerable to Gravity.
