Guest appearances[]

Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin[]

Tyro appeared in the event A Little Visitor (小さな来訪者, Chīsana raihō-sha?) in Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin as a playable character.[1]

Unlike other crossover collaborations with Valkyrie Anatomia, it is not Lenneth who meets Tyro upon his arrival to Midgard, but Mystina, who happened to be nearby, trying to find something interesting to do since she was bored. Tyro is able to see Mystina, which surprises her since Einherjar cannot normally be seen by ordinary humans, and after learning of Tyro's world and what he does, she offers to show him around as his guide to escape her boredom. Despite the fact that Tyro is normally forbidden from interacting with people in other worlds, Mystina points out that she isn't from the version of Midgard the game takes place in and hails from a different timeline entirely (the original Valkyrie Profile). In exchange for being his guide, she asks if she can have the same outfit to wear as the boy does, which he gladly accepts.

Mystina in Tyro's scholar clothes was available for the player to recruit during this event, and even had her adopt a Final Fantasy combat style in place of her standard one, including a sixteen-hit Fight command that makes her swing her weapon repeatedly at the enemy, something Sorcerers in the Valkyrie Profile series cannot normally do.

Tyro was easily earned as a playable character after completing the initial segment of the event. He was the only character in the game to be completely silent in battle; on the status screen, his VA is credited as Unknown for some reason despite the fact he doesn't have one. In battle, his three action commands are Fight (a sixteen-hit physical attack) and the spells Tornado and Chain Thundaga. When he uses the latter two, the classic sound effect for Black Magic is played.
