Tremor (, also known as どとん, Doton , lit. ? Unleashed Earth) Doton and Earth Veil, is a recurring ability classified as Ninjutsu magic. It deals earth-elemental damage to enemies.
Tremor is a Ninjutsu, used by Edge in the DS remake, that inflicts Earth-elemental damage to all enemies. It costs 20 MP to cast and is acquired at Level 40.
Tremor returns as a Ninjutsu spell for Edge and Tsukinowa. It functions in the same way as it did in Final Fantasy IV. Edge learns it at level 50, while Tsukinowa learns it at level 42.
The Ninja learns three different levels of Doton abilities. Doton: Ichi is learned at Level 15, Doton: Ni at Level 40, and Doton: San at Level 75. Each Doton ability does earth-elemental damage and lowers the target's resistance to wind damage. Both effects increase in efficiency with the level of the Doton ability used.
The Ninja can use Doton. It inflicts earth-elemental damage and Blind on the target.
Ninjas learn Doton at Level 45. Doton does earth-elemental damage to all enemies in an area of effect around the Ninja, and inflicts the Heavy status for twenty-four seconds.
Earth Veil is usable by the Ninja, learned from the Osafune. It inflicts earth-elemental damage and Slow. It has 15 Magic Power, a range of 4, costs 4 MP to cast, and needs 200 AP to master.
Earth Veil returns as an ability usable by the Ninja with the same properties, but it now costs 250 AP to master.
Deals earth damage to all enemies.
Tremor is a level 7 ability of the
Ninja class, requiring 155 AP to learn. At the cost of 18 MP, the user will inflict Earth-elemental damage to all enemies.
