Trainer is a dressphere that appears in Final Fantasy X-2. The Trainer dons a long, flowing skirt with long sleeves and gloves, while Paine's gloves and sleeves are in a seamless, full-length, evening glove style. The torso, sleeves, gloves, and outer leg areas are made of protective stitched leather; this is particularly shown by Paine's gloves acting as a falconer's gauntlet for perching Flurry. Each character trains and commands a different pet for various abilities.
[edit] Acquiring Trainer
In chapter 3, if answering the Ronso's concerns correctly in the previous chapters, Kimahri will present the party with this dressphere.

[edit] Trivia
- In the Final Fantasy X-2 artbook, it is stated that the pets owned by the girls when using the Trainer dressphere are actually spirits. It is assumed that the Trainer Dressphere houses the spirits of Kogoro, Ghiki, and Flurry, just as the Songstress Dressphere holds Lenne's. In that respect, the girls are also summoners when using this dressphere (although they can only summon one "Aeon").
- Kogoro physically resembles the dog often seen with Yojimbo, Daigoro. Their names are even closely related, as Dai in Daigoro means great or big, while Ko, in Kogoro's name means small, young, or child.
- Originally, Paine was supposed to own a snake. See her page for more details.
- The three pets of this dressphere allude to the tale of Momotaro, where the hero's compainions are a dog, a pheasant, and a monkey on his journey.
- The girls' pets could also be compared to One Piece's Admirals, mainly Admiral Aokiji (Blue Pheasant - Flurry), Admiral Kizaru (Yellow Monkey - Ghiki), and Akainu (Red Dog - Kogoro), though One Piece's Admirals are themselves named in reference to the tale of Momotaro.
