Tonberry is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2. It is generally not a good idea to fight it in Chapters 1 and 2 because your party is fairly weak to take down an enemy with 9,999 HP. Tonberries are also found wandering the halls of Via Infinito.

Battle StrategyEdit

The girls should be equipped with with strong Dresspheres such as the Warrior so they can do a lot of damage quickly. They should hit it hard and fast with their strongest attacks. The player should be careful if a Tonberry gets Oversouled, because then it has almost forty thousand health points. If the party has a Cat Nip, then one shot from a girl in critical health with it equipped will kill it.

Via InfinitoEdit

Tonberries are a special enemy in Via Infinito. They can be found on any floor, but never in any random battles. They will be walking the halls, and if you come in contact with one, then a battle starts with it. Sometimes, fighting a Tonberry is required to complete the floor, and occasionally, fighting one will teleport you closer to the exit.

Also, you can encounter a regular Tonberry, with a tiny Tonberry standing beside it. If you talk to this duo, you get a free item.
