Thunder is generally the hardest-hitting of spells in any tier of Elemental Magic. The spell can be purchased from vendors in Lower Jeuno and Aht Urhgan Whitegate for 45,930 gil, and it may also be found as loot on several high-level, mage-class enemies.
Thunder III appears in Final Fantasy XIV as a Thaumaturge ability available at level 46. The ability deals lightning-elemental damage to a single target with the potency of 60 and deals damage over time with a potency of 35 for a period of 24 seconds.
In the Japanese version of the game, Thunder III is called Thundaga.
Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, thunder can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide).
