Thundara (サンダラ, Sandara?) is the second level Lightning-elemental Black Magic spell. Thundara is also known as Electro+ in Spanish and Blitzra in the German version.

Final Fantasy

Thundara, also known as LIT2 in the NES release and Bolt2 in the Final Fantasy Origins release, is a level 3 Black Magic spell than can be bought in Elfheim and can be learned by the Black Mage, Black Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Ninja classes. Thundara can be cast by Beholder, Vampire Lord, Water Naga, Astos, Lich, Kraken, and Tiamat.
In the NES and Origins releases, it inflicts between 30 and 120 Lightning damage. In the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary Edition releases, it inflicts moderate Lightning damage depending on the caster's Intelligence and costs 15 MP to cast.
Final Fantasy III

Thundara is a level 3 Black Magic spell with a base power of 55 that can be bought for 1,500 gil at Village of the Ancients, Northwest Saronia, Doga's Village and Falgabard. One can be found in the Vikings' Cove, while any non Magus, Sage, Black Mage, and Red Mage class can use the spell through the Zeus's Wrath item or the Thunder Spear and Thor's Hammer weapons. The enemies Vulcan, Magician, Hein, Goldor, Kraken, Hellgaroo Mage, Flyer Mage, Giant Rat, and Sorcerer can use the spell against the party.
Final Fantasy IV

Bolt 2, retranslated as Thundara in the GBA and Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection releases, causes medium Thunder damage to one or all enemies. The spell is already known by Fusoya, Tellah, and by Rydia when she returns as an adult. Porom learns Thundara at level 14.
The spell costs 15 MP to cast in all versions and has a spell power of 50 (64 in non-DS versions). Thundara can be cast by Zeromus EG, Golbez, Mindy, and Ramuh.
Final Fantasy IV -Interlude-

Thundara returns as a Black Magic spell in the sequel of Final Fantasy IV. The imposter Rydia along with Palom and Rydia already known the spell. It deals moderate Lightning-elemental damage to one enemy or minor damage to all enemies at the cost of 15 MP.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

The spell returns in the sequel and can be cast by Rydia, Fusoya, Golbez, Palom, Black Mage, and Leonora. It still costs 15 MP to cast.
Final Fantasy V

Bolt 2, retranslated as Thundara in the GBA release, causes medium Thunder damage to one or all enemies, and it is a level 3 Black Magic spell. Black Mages and Red Mages can use this magic, and it can be bought in Karnak or Crescent for 600 gil. Thundara costs 10 MP to cast, and it can be cast by Carbuncle, Flaremancer, Ra Mage, Omniscient, Ramuh, and Reflect Mage.
The Mystic Knight's Spellblade ability allows the character to attack with the power of Thundara in the sword.
The player may utilize this ability by catching and releasing a Skeleton.
Final Fantasy VI

Bolt 2 is retranslated as Thundara in the GBA release. The spell causes Thunder damage to one or all enemies, and can be learned from the esper Ramuh at a x2 rate, from Maduin at a x3 rate, or from the Thunder Shield at a x5 rate. It has a hit rate of 150, power of 61, and is vulnerable to Runic.
Thundara can be cast by Chadarnook (Demon), Crane (Left), Crane (Right), Goddess, Gold Dragon, Inferno, Joker, Level 30 Magic, Magic Master, Moebius, Number 024, Humbaba, Veil Dancer, and Misty.
Final Fantasy VII

Bolt 2 is the second level spell of the Lightning Materia, and can only be used after the Materia has 2000 AP. It costs 22 MP to cast and has a base spell power equal to 1.25x the base magic damage. The spell can also be cast with the Bolt Plume item.
The enemies SOLDIER:3rd, Yang, Garuda, Grimguard, and Unknown 3, as well as the bosses Rude and Lost Number all utilize the spell against the player. Rude only uses the spell at Rocket Town and Sunken Gelnika, and will never use the spell on Tifa. Unknown 3 will also only use the spell if a target is not under the Poison status.
In the 1996 demo release, Bolt 2 is available to Cloud from the start, and only costs 8 MP.

Thundara fires several bolts of light at an enemy, potentially hitting multiple targets. A variation called Dark Thundara does damage and inflicts Poison and Silence. Thundara has costs 14 MP to cast, while Dark Thundara costs 20 MP.
Thundara Materia can be bought from the The Happy Turtle shop for 3,000 gil, or created through Materia Fusion by upgrading from low level Magic Materia. Thundara can be fused with status inflicting Materia to create Dark Thundara.
Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy VIII is the first game in the saga to have the spell called Thundara. Thundara causes medium Lightning-elemental damage on one opponent. It is a common spell that can be drawn from various mid-level enemies in the game, as well as refined from items and lower level spells. Casting Thundara in battle increases compatibility with Quezacotl by 2, but lowers compatibility with Ifrit by 0.6 and with Eden by 0.2.

Thundara is a spell exclusive to Vivi that deals moderate Thunder damage. Alternately, Steiner is capable of using Thunder Sword via the Sword Magic skill. Vivi learns Thundara from the Thunder Staff for 50 AP, and it costs 12 MP to cast. It has a spell power of 29. It can be reflected and works with Return Magic. Thundara can be cast by various enemies, the earliest by Black Waltz 2.
Final Fantasy X

Thundara is located on Lulu's section of the Sphere Grid. It causes medium Thunder-elemental damage to one enemy, and it is accessible to all playable characters. Thundara can be cast by many enemies, including Larva, Seymour, and Behemoth.
Final Fantasy X-2

Thundara is learned from the Black Mage dressphere. It costs 100 AP to learn and 24 MP to cast. It can also be used if equipped with the NulShock Ring or by passing through the green and red gates in the Thunder Spawn Garment Grid. Thundara can also be used via Yuna's Festival-Goer dressphere ability Thunder Geta. Thundara is used by a large array of enemies in this game.
Final Fantasy XII

Thundara can only be cast when its required license, Black Magick 3, is learned. Thundara inflicts moderate Lightning-elemental damage to all enemies in range. The spell can be bought in Eruyt Village or on Mt. Bur-Omisace for 3,000 gil.
In the International version, Thundara's license is Black Magick 6 and the spell can be used by three Job classes; Black Mage, Red Mage, and Uhlan - although Uhlan must acquire the preceding Quickening license.
Final Fantasy XIII

Thundara is a Ravager ability available to Lightning at Crystarium Stage 1, Sazh Katzroy at Crystarium Stage 7, Oerba Dia Vanille at Crystarium Stage 7, Hope Estheim at Crystarium Stage 4, and Oerba Yun Fang at Crystarium Stage 7. It is a lightning-elemental magical attack against target and nearby foes. If target is staggered, effectiveness increases. It costs 2 ATB gauge segments to cast.
Thundara can be cast by Adroa, Dahaka, Odin, and Right Ailette.
Final Fantasy XIII-2

Thundara returns as a Ravager spell. It deals moderate lighting-based magic damage to enemies, but its effectiveness is increased versus staggered enemies. It is learnable by Serah Farron at Role Level 18, Albino Lobo at level 52, Apotamkin at level 17, Circuitron from the start, Debris at level 34, Greater Behemoth at level 21, Nekton at level 68, Pink Lily at level 14, Pleuston at level 45, Valfodr at level 16, and Zwerg Scandroid at level 40.

The Thunder Rod teaches Thundara to the Black Mage for 200 AP. It costs 12 MP to cast, has a Magic Power of 40, and has a range of 4 with a vertical reach of 2. It is stealable through the ability Steal: Ability, and is also susceptible to Return Magic and Absorb MP.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Black Mages learn Thundara through the Thunder Rod, while Seers learn it through the Enavia Chronicles. In both cases, Thundara needs 250 AP to be mastered and costs 14 MP.
