SpiraAdded by Spira

Throwing Weapons (投擲武器, Toutekibuki?) are a recurring type of equippable weapons in the Final Fantasy series. This specific type of weapons refers to the widest selection of different weapons in the series, and generally includes and groups Shuriken, Boomerangs and Chakrams. Thrown Weapons generally possess the Shoot elemental property, and are Long Range. These properties make them extremely useful due to the fact that they are generally equippable by Thieves and Ninjas, which are two vulnerable and fast physical jobs that gain survivability when placed on back rows.

There is a distinction between Throwing Weapons and Throwing Items, where the former refers to weapons that can and must be equipped to be used in battle, while the second refers to weapons or items that are specifically designed to be used with the Throw ability. Characters who can use Throwing Weapons, commonly have access to this ability.

Recurring Thrown Weapons also include the Moonring Blade, the Rising Sun, the Wing Edge and the Hawkeye.
