The Sending (ability)

The Sending (異界送り, Ikai Okuri?), also known as To the Farplane, is a Limit Break-type ability associated with Yuna. It first appeared in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy as a damage-dealing EX Burst for Yuna, since her original Overdrive from Final Fantasy X was a support-oriented ability. The ability is based on the sending ritual Yuna performs in Final Fantasy X where she sends the pyreflies of the dead to the Farplane, but it is not an ability she can use in battle in that game. Menu description

To The Farplane (Sending in the Japanese release) is Yuna's EX Burst. Yuna dances on a pillar of water and summons all her aeons to attack her opponent in sequence. The player must time button presses with an on-screen graphic of a ring of energy closing in on a button icon to maximize the damage done.

Her pose from a Final Fantasy X promotional poster () is included in the EX Burst's ending and pyreflies are presented during its performance.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper

Template:Sideicon The Sending is a character-specific Soul Break exclusive to Yuna via rod Magistral Rod (X). It deals holy-elemental damage to all enemies with the damage equal to 717% of the base magic damage, calculations dependent on her Mind. If Yuna completes battles alive with Magistral Rod (X) equipped, she can eventually master The Sending without needing to be equipped with the weapon in question to use it.
