The Tentacles are part of a boss battle in the game Final Fantasy VI.

They use their special ability, Stun, to inflict Slow on a character, and then grab hold of a character to absorb their HP and MP until they use Release, which can be detrimental because now the party is down a character. However, since the Tentacles only do this to Slowed characters, equipping Hermes Sandals prevents this from ever happening. They also use Bio. The upper right Tentacle is vulnerable to Poison, so Edgar should use his Bio Blaster and all characters should try casting Bio on it. It is also vulnerable to Petrify, so Break works well.
