Tenebrae (テネブラエ, Teneburae^?) is a location in the upcoming game, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and the country where Stella is from. Little is known about it at this time, though there is a legend in Tenebrae which states that those who can see the "light" will obtain special powers. Stella asks Noctis to come and visit her there.

EtymologyEdit

"Tenebrae" is a Latin word meaning "darkness" or "shadows".

Tenebr(a)e is also a Latin religious service usually celebrated in the evening or morning of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Friday, celebrated by the extinguishing of candles while psalms are either recited or chanted.
