Tenebrae (テネブラエ, Teneburae) is a location in the upcoming game, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and the country where Stella and Noctis are from. Little is known about it at this time, though there is a legend in Tenebrae which states that those who can see the "light" will obtain special powers.

Tenebrae is a Latin word meaning "darkness" or "shadows".
