Any and all comments about this template's colours will be ignored. :P

Anyway, how shall this be expanded? Like the summons template where each game has it's unique abilities listed after the recurring ones?

No color comments? Oh well. Err...what about a look to see if the recurring classification method is better?

[edit] Lists

Should we perhaps add links to the game ability lists to the template? Drake Clawfang 22:40, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Expanding

TALK - 02:20, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Alright so I have some abilities that I'll be expanding this with (as you can see by the Plus % abilities), but I will also add in First Strike, One MP Cost, and Magic Booster at a later date. My current question right now is should there be an article for the Elemental Eater, Strike, Proof, and Ward abilities, and the same with Status Touch, Strike, Ward, and Proof abilities at all? I know that that'd probably seem redundant but.....just want to know what everyone's opinion is on that subject
Master Conjurer : 03:09, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I think the ones that share a name (strike & strike, proof & proof, etc.) should be on a page together.

TALK - Xenomic 03:11, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, sounds like a good idea, though what do we name the article? "Elemental & Status Strike", "Elemental & Status Ward", and "Elemental and Status Proof" (since there's no Status Eater, Elemental Eater would be on its own articles, and I guess this would include accessories and the like for each of these articles)?
Master Conjurer : 04:09, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Strike, Ward (Ability), Proof, and Eater (Ability) aren't taken.

Great. I'll take care of those after beefing up the other templates. At least I found SOMETHING to do to keep me occupied. lol

Well, I guess I also have to add a Touch article for the Touch abilities, though it only pertains to the Statuses, it'll keep in line with these articles, and fits much more neatly into weapons and the like that have those types of innate abilities.
Master Conjurer : 01:31, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
The ones you've done so far turned out a lot better than I expected. You do good work. I'm almost comfortable ignoring your edits when I patrol the RC.

Yeah, except those silly little mistakes I make every now and again. I'm just trying to fill out what's not there right now. I don't think Evasion Plus % needs an article right now, since I can only think of FFVIII having any Evasion +% abilities, unless there's others that I'm missing....other than that, I think I have all of the +% abilities now. Not too sure what else can go here. I also updated the Black, White, and Time Magic templates, so that they have ALL of the spells that were in each category (since they needed them). I'm also thinking of another template, which is in my Sandbox, that I need to work on a little more before I ask about it again. ^^

Also, for the Ward, Strike, Proof, and Touch abilities, think I should do to those like I did for the Eater ability page, where it lists what gives what ability?? I was thinking of doing so originally, but wasn't sure if that was a good idea or not. ^^;

[edit] Hmm.....Add Magic in?

Xenomic
TALK - 23:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Add in magic articles such as White Magic, Black Magic, Blue Magic, so on and so forth or not, since they ARE Command Abilities technically, but so isn't Item and whatnot.....

Template:Magic covers all of that.

Huh....for some reason that template seems unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time to me....like I've worked with it yet I don't remember it....I think I've been up for too long or something x_x

[edit] Okay

Most of the command abilities on this template are the abilities that characters have on their first screen. I'm really confused what should go on here. We have skillsets like Dyne and Tools, which work just like the Magic skillsets and the Item command. And then we have abilities in these skillsets like Thievery and Auto Crossbow, do they go on here? Why not?

This template is confusing.  ILHI (W/B) 22:03, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I think we just put on commands and not the abilities themselves, so we'd put in Dyne and Tools, but not anything in those like Thievery and Auto Crossbow. Basically, just the larger things I guess?? Unless we want to add in a "Specific Abilities" section to the template. *Shrugs*

I think the command ability section is only for larger commands sets that characters can select in battle. ScatheMote 22:15, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Split up command sets from singular command abilities? "Command Skillsets" and "Command Abilities", perhaps? 8bit 22:36, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Ooh, that actually sounds nice. So "Item", "Magic" and "Mix" go along with the skillsets too, right? Because when you select them, you don't perform an ability? We have definitions, we should do it.  ILHI (W/B) 22:42, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
That actually sounds good. And yeah, I think Item, Magic, and Mix would go with the skillset, since they ARE skillsets and not the actual skills. Xenomic 22:49, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good to me, Skillsets and specific Skills. Drake Clawfang 23:14, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok guys, how does that look so far?? I'll probably add more to this as time passes ^^
Many others to add - Dance, Blitz, Bushido (VI and X), Swordplay, Flair, Slots, Dragon (Freya), Magitek, Rage. That's all I got for now. Drake Clawfang 00:22, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, I've added all that I think I can add for the time being. I'll let you others fill it up with things that I may have missed ^^ Xenomic 00:41, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Alright, so I'm confused here. We have several lists, like for FFX, we have a Support and Command list, but the template only links to the Support list. I'm assuming we want the template to link to each separate list, no? Or do we want it to link to a parent page like List of Final Fantasy V Abilities does?
You can do it like Tactics, Tactics Advance, etc. are, with a backslash and both listed. 8bit 01:40, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
